Fantastic place. Quite and peaceful. Had a great week. 4 of the best days in many years. Great little town near everything. The quite nights are great. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back soon just to get away from the city. Everything was perfect.

We received a two night stay as a Christmas gift. We love Door County in the winter time, but even then the room rates can be pretty high for a nice place to stay. Not here, the quality you get for price you pay is incredible. We stayed in the Sea Chest room and it was gorgeously decorated and so spacious. The kitchenette was perfect for making a few simple breakfasts and lunches. The living room was huge and had a beautiful gas fireplace, TV and DVD player, nice seating area and a cute desk. There was also a little table for two to enjoy a meal. The bedroom had a very comfortable king bed and a second TV. The bathroom was huge and had a nice two person whirlpool. We never saw the owners or anyone that worked there, which wasn’t too surprising for a small family run place in the slow season up here. We self checked in and out. I wished we had been able to talk to someone once, as we had a few small issues like a coffee pot full of old coffee from the previous guests and a not so clean tub(which I had to clean myself before we used it). The furnace was also really obnoxious and roared like a lion, but we always sleep with white noise so that drowned it out for the most part. I have a feeling that if we had seen someone while there the issues would have been resolved. Despite the few small issues, we would definitely stay here again. You really get a lot for your money, it truly is a gorgeous little place.

We stayed in the«Sea Chest» room for our one year anniversary. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. It had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and a beautiful bathroom. There was room for sitting, relaxing, and there’s a small table/chair set outside. It’s a great value for the quality of rooms. The owners are very helpful. The Lodgings are in the main part of Ephraim, walking distance from the kayak rental and many local attractions, and the view of the bay was spectacular. Please be advised… Ephraim is a DRYTOWN!!! Which means no restaurants there serve drinks, and the town is QUIET at night. We were the only ones watching the beautiful view at night. If you want to go to a restaurant with booze or a bar, you have to drive to another town and have a designated driver. That being said, it’s probably the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at. If you’re looking for a restful, quiet stay, this is the place. And the town of Fish Creek(with bars and restaurants) is right next door. Get a bottle of wine for your room, a designated driver, and you’re golden.

There is not enough to say about this inn! If I could give it six stars I would. My wife and I stayed here a few Christmases ago and it was absolutely fantastic. The room was spotless, the amenities were great and the location was amazing. The room was Fantastic. Everything was new, the appliances were great, and it Is obvious that the owners cared greatly for the space. The owners, Hugh and Alicia are great to deal with and made the business side of things very easy and comfortable. I will definitely be back when I have some more time and can’t wait to stay here again!

A wonderful, quiet spot to stay while in Door County. Great views, great rooms, and wonderful owners. The only place I stay in Door Co.

Stayed at Helen’s Room and loved it! Wonderful furnishings, spacious, loved that it had a fireplace(although we stayed there in August, so couldn’t really use it)…:(Huge jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom… AWESOME. Great location, restaurants within walking distance, or just a short drive away. Owners were very friendly. The hubby and me also took advantage of Peninsula State Park, just a 5 – 10 minute drive away, where we went on a 9 mile bike ride both days we were there… we will definitely be back.

Very cozy and comfy, this is a great inn to call home for the night or a weekend in Door County. Our room was nicely furnished with a big comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom with jetted tub, sitting room with flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. Everything looked brand new, right down to the embroidered towels. The location is great too, as you’re only steps away from an ice cream shop, restaurant and beachfront. For about $ 150 a night mid-week, it’s a little pricey but the convenience and comfort are worth it. I have three small gripes about this place, none of which would prevent me from visiting again: 1) The owners sent us the info on how to check ourselves in and access our keys before we arrived, but it took us 10 minutes to figure out which room was ours and which door our keys worked in. A little heads up in this department would have been nice. 2) You have to ask at the office for beach towels. Not a big deal, but a bit problematic when no one’s at the office in the evening. I would prefer the beach towels to just be kept in the rooms. 3) The main building is not very soundproof. We could hear other visitors closing doors and coming up and down the stairs late at night. This wasn’t a major issue for us, but I could see it being problematic if your neighbors were noisy. This inn is clearly well cared for and a lovely spot to stay if you’re looking for something a bit more homey and welcoming than a standard hotel room.

This place makes me want to be an innkeeper when I’m older. It’s an old 2 building inn nestled off the main road of Hwy 42 in the quaint lil town of Ephraim in Door County. The accommodations were renovated, clean and well-maintained. I stayed in Bill’s Room — b/c it was the least expensive boarding with a good reputation. At $ 80/night(for either on or off season), it’s definitely more affordable than the nearby inns/motels. Don’t expect a lot of amenities with the small room though — but there is coffee, free WiFi, and cable TV. No phone though, which made things difficult since we had absolutely no reception on our cell phones. A complete Cell Phone Dead Zone — I had to drive out a few minutes onto the 42 in order to call the innkeepers to have them come fix some broken blinds. Inconvenient, but not too bad. As it’s a small, family-owned inn, they don’t have someone manning the office everyday. But Hugh and Alicia were just a phone call away and would drop by when you needed something. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay — the other rooms they have available are really nice — w/fireplaces, sitting areas, etc. Their website is well set up with photos of the rooms and prices for the season. It’s centrally located in Ephraim and walking distance to the water and restaurants. Check it out next time you’re in Door County!
