An OK fish market not great. For the convenience if you live in the area it is a good alternative to driving to the coast. They do cook on Fridays and they have good quality fish shack style fried seafood dinners. The prices are a little bit better than the higher end fish markets.

A fish/seafood market shouldn’t be sketchy like this place is when you walk in. They have frozen crawfish, which is usually the only reason I head there. I was very surprised I couldn’t get different sized scallops here, and all they had were 20−30s it seemed. They were tiny! I was looking for 10−20s, so I was disappointed. I also wish they’d put where the seafood comes from on the label. but I don’t know if that’d get them more business. Like Jack J. said, fish isn’t supposed to smell fishy, its supposed to smell fresh and be firm, not soft and borderline slimy. I wish this place was as good as the place we had in town when I was younger. So, to describe this place in one word would be to simply say«bummer».

Nope, fish isn’t supposed to smell like fish. It’s also to be slightly pink. I went on a Thursday and the last haddock was delivered on Tuesday. That’s not fresh in my book. Guess where all the fish comes from for their big fish fry? That’s right, it’s the old leftover«fresh» fish. Yuck.

Not too bad. Ive been looking for a friggin fishmarket around here for months. Finally! Not badly priced either. I think I paid 8.99 for a pound of dry sea scallops. They werent even sandy! No fresh calamari though :(The woman told my husband«thats sort of an aquired taste, so we dont keep them fresh on hand really». Calamari is an aquired taste? Gee, I guess we should tell everyone eating Fried Calamari what it REALLY is? Other than that, I found it odd that there was a mini-yard sale going on inside of the place. I mean, it smelled of fish, fish everywhere, shellfish, you name it, then a bunch of stuff piled in the corner with signs and tags — baby clothes and toys, cribs… weird. But ok. The seafood was good. They do a fish fry prepared dinner night once a week, the menu was quite reasonable and looked DELISH! Might suprise the husband one night with something — plus, keeps that stank fish smell out of my kitchen, frying fish stinksssss!
