Smallest portions around, rude staff, nasty food, with hair inside! No reason to check it out ATALL!

great drinks, good food, and good prices. They just need to work on their bar staff.

Decided to try the Seneca St location after a bad experience at the Harlem Rd location. Don’t bother, same experience. Employees who don’t understand English, under staffed just like Harlem Rd. Free for all, 20 minute wait actually 40 minute wait. People waiting for table complaining they had been waiting forever. Two servers for entire restaurant. They have good food but the service has gone to the dogs. Not going back to either location.

First time here for us. some real positives and other strong negatives! Has great potential. Pros — Loved the salsa chips, bean dip was the best we had. Food was out in minutes Cons — Our server very rushed could not help out with ordering drinks. Some mixers were out of stock. Men’s bathroom was out of paper towels Compairing the prices to Agave on Elmwood, El Ranchiti in Clarence, Lo Loletca in williamsville the prices are much higher!

I am thrilled to have a Mexican place close to work but I am always skeptical when restaurants doing work over and over in the same location. However this one works. They bring free chips, salsa and a bean and cheese dip. After waiter took our order, very Finley. The food came out in 5 minutes. When you have a shirt time span for lunch it was great. We all had chimichangas with loose beef. Guacamole salad was fresh, meat was flavored well and just the right amount of sauce. At $ 7.25 as well. No reason not to come back.

I wanted to order takeout from this place tonight but the website is no longer up and there is no menu online anywhere. Boooooo.

The food was really good. The service left something to be desired. She never brought out chips and salsa till we asked. When we did ask she looked irritated. Everyone else had chips and salsa on their table so I thought it was cool… guess not! She didn’t come by to check on us very much at all which wasn’t good as we wanted to order another margarita but the only time she ever came back was to give us our bill. No second margarita for us I guess. Food was good so we will go back but if service is bad the next time, adiós Don Juan! Went in again a few weeks later and the service was top notch! This place is great. Best Mexican I’ve had since moving back from out west. How did I survive with just that other so called Mexican place in town?

At 9:20pm we called to see how late the kitchen was open before we drove to get dinner. We were told the kitchen was open until 9:45pm. Their Facebook says they are open until 10pm. We arrived in the parking lot at 9:30pm and the closed sign was on and the chairs were up. Pretty poor. We will not be returning.

Had dinner here last night at the urging of my daughter, who ate here recently with her dad. She’s not a huge fan of Mexican but loved this place and I totally agree. Any other place in the area where I’ve had chicken tacos or fajitas, the chicken looks like scraps. Not at Don Juan! Nice big pieces really nicely seasoned, so well that they really needed nothing else in my opinion but I did use the lime that came with them. The tortillas had a nice little bit of crispness to them as well. HEAVEN! They were seriously delicious. My kid loved the bean dip that came with the chips and salsa which is nice so I didn’t have to share the salsa. Will DEFINITELY be back. Our service couldn’t have been better, and the server was very pleasant even though the place was starting to get busy.

Disappointing all around. Service was poor, slow(was only one other table of diners there) not helpful answering questions, forgot to bring drink refills and was lacking in general CS dept. Starting with the complimentary chips/salsa, the salsa was comparable to watered down tomato purée a bowl of refried beans accompanied. Margarita was decent although normally I have margaritas with salt on the rim of the glass, there’s had none(not a big deal, just added to the disappointments). Ordered a combo platter the food was room temp at best, chicken in the burrito was dried out with zero flavor, cheese enchilada tasted like they used processed american cheese and tossed it in the microwave, again very tasteless. The guacamole salad was shredded iceberg with a spoonful of guac thrown on top, the fries were good although no ketchup(if your going to have french fries on the menu you should have ketchup). Like I mentioned restaurant was pretty empty one other table and I had to go look for someone so I could pay the bill. I was really surprised how bad it was, won’t be returning.

On a chilly nite in the southtowns i remembered about a place i heard about for tacos and really good food, alas this wasn’t the place ! I tried the combo meal this way i get to try 3 different things ‚ 1st up was the beef, aka hamburger, burrito, greasy meat weird sweet taste, i had to order that beef because they were out of the shredded type and they wouldnt sub some of their pork, 2nd chix taco dry huge hunks ‚& lastly was the tamale, wow the masa was horrible, the hunks of pork one could have lost a tooth on The wait never came to check on me to see if everything was ok, I only received a second glass of water after she handed me my bill and i spoke up ‚ Needless to say. If you hungry for good Mexican food go to Valle or that place in Kenmore

The food was unreal, they kept loading us up with chips and dip. It was hella dope. This place was so lit they were short on water for a split sec but they made it rain like niagara falls. Every one was super nice I almost cried because I have never been treated so well in my life. When I asked for a box at the end two came. When’s the last time you heard of service this good? I’ll answer that: never!!! But seriously thanks for everything, look forward to eating your delicious food again soon!

This place took over the Mariah’s restaurant building. Its located down the street from the EA village, just past Knox Farms. Its very clean and neatly decorated. Server was very nice and attentive. Immediately get served salsa, which had a great spiciness to it, and bean dip smothered in cheese. I could’ve eaten that all day. I had the Enchiladas Supremas. I’m pretty sure the size of the dinner plates are the same circumference as Big Ben in London. HUGE. And everything was delicious. You get all different enchiladas. I wish I could say I tried them all but I only had the capacity to eat the beef & chicken. They were awesome. Rice, refried beans, lettuce & guac were also fresh and yummy. You’re going to feel silly when you don’t finish half your plate. This is my new go to for Mexican style food. You really get a feel for authenticity here. I’m hungry after writing this. I’ve also been to the Harlem Rd location in West Seneca. Same story but I tried their margaritas. I’m not much of a marg guy but that was delicious too.

Don Juan’s meals are decent. Food is generally fresh and tasty. Portion sizes are large, and the plates they serve you on are huge! Service ranges from decent to abysmal. On our last visit, there were only two servers for the whole restaurant. Our waiter forgot one of our meals until everyone else was almost finished eating, and he was virtually MIA during the entire meal. Don Juan has potential but seems to be on the decline.

Food was great and prices even better. Fried ice cream was the best I’ve ever had. The server wasn’t around much hence the four stars but I saw the other server always around so I went back to 5 stars as this is an awesome place for lunch. Looking at the dinner menu, I want to come back.

Wow! We are six Texans who have high standards for Tex-Mex. this place passes the test and then some. Delicious margaritas, authentic food, and and amazing bean and queso dip to start off with the salsa and chips. Best Mexican in Buffalo.
