I’m so happy I went here. I wanted my ring resized, but Bob just pounded it a little and told me not to spend my money. Then he showed me how my ring was supposed to fit – all for free. This is definitely the place for jewelry.

Wayne just spent nearly an hour with me going thru my husband’s grandmother’s jewelry she passed down to us. He’s so knowledgeable and upfront that it’s a pleasure to watch. I trust his appraisals and his retail prices are excellent – no huge markup here. A great guy doing a fair business. He knows his stuff and can help with whatever you need from appraisals, to repairs, to custom pieces in addition to the lovely stuff he retails. I’m sure this will sound repetitive but I always enjoy giving good reviews! I called the shop today for a somewhat emergency appraisal of my ring. I spoke with Wayne on the phone and he was super helpful, and told me I could just come in. I arrived within 15 minutes. He was busy but I didn’t mind waiting. (After all the world doesn’t revolve around me) He appraised my ring quickly and for free! He was very friendly and more than helpful. He advised me beyond the call of duty and I left feeling more knowledgeable and happy that I found an honest jeweler so close to me.
Hoping to do business with them again soon. Oh! He also offered to help me learn how to grade my own diamonds! What a nice guy!

I came in with a bracelet, that I did not buy from them. I wanted it cleaned, and I needed a box.

Wayne & Maria are the epitome of great personal service. They made me feel special when I came to their store with an inexpensive gem. They sold me an inexpensive setting and I ended up with a beautiful ring. They are «my» jeweler of choice.

I stopped in to get a wedding band resized and he did it while I was waiting. Did a wonderful job and made sure I was happy with it. Will go back for all my jewelry needs. He has some really beautiful jewelry in the shop also. Will have to check out on my next trip.

Love this store and the owners. I stop in every once in a while to see what they have for sale and what they are buying. Very honest and fair. They have checked my settings, cleaned my rings and earrings, and repaired several pieces. Excellent service, knowledge and many unique pieces I wish I could purchase! Wayne and maria are wonderful! Came in with a ring to sell and Wayne went the extra mile to help me! They helped me with selling my ring and I would recommend going there if you have jewelry to sell. He also gave me one of the best offers for my ring.

Wayne and Maria are some of the nicest people! We went to their shop for an engagement ring after getting ripped off on etsy.
They worked with us on practical options, and kept our budget in mind the whole time. What they ended up doing was resizing a vintage ring we already had and made a custom band to go with it. It looks amazing and fits perfect. My fiancé also got his wedding band from here, and it looks like it was made to match my set. We could not be happier with our experience!

Thanks Unilocal for sending me to Wayne @ Bob’s Gem Shop! We went in with my early 1900’s vintage wedding ring and asked him to make a matching wedding band and he totally delivered! Wayne even had sapphires from the same era that matched my ring exactly. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and would tell anyone I know to go there for a great experience. This place is absolutely wonderful! I went in for a price quote to get a band made with the diamonds off of my grandmothers wedding ring. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and friendliness. I originally was told that I would only be able to use the diamonds and not the metal of my grandmothers ring (by multiple jewelers) and Wayne surprisingly found a way to use the metal. They definitely exceeded my expectations and made a custom ring within ONE WEEK!!!

When looking for an engagement ring I did not know where to start. A friend recommended BGS so I decided to check it out. Wayne is incredible at making the perfect ring. Let him know what you want and let him make it amazing. You can’t go wrong! This is by far the best jewellery store around, you have to check it out! Amazing custom work. Could not be any happier!

My fiancé recently purchased a ring from them and we went back to get it sized and I was introduced to the facility and the staff. Wayne and his wife were so polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They went beyond my expectations to help us get it sized quickly, and have it back on my finger to show it off. They were so accommodating and amazing we will be forever customers!

Initially came in to get a ring sized and was so impressed with Wayne and Maria and all the beautiful jewelry in the shop I walked out with a 1920’s art deco ring which I adore. Went back to sell some gold and even a couple times just to say hello. They really are the nicest people. Very knowledgeable in their trade and fair/​honest with their pricing. I never thought I’d need a jeweler but I’m somehow more complete knowing I have one.

I needed a meeting place between Temecula and Encinitas to check out and authenticate a diamond wedding ring set. After googling the general area for appraisers/​jewelers I got several hits. Between these hits being either out of business, not having anyone on premises, not responding to e-​mails etc… I finally got a hold of one of the brilliant family members that makes Bob’s Gem Shop the exception to the «business as usual» service mantra among most of the cookie cutter corporate/​franchise places around. How refreshing!
Anyways, I explained my situation and what I was looking to get accomplished and they said that I could come down immediately. I set up the meeting for an hour later with the seller and we were both on time. In Bob’s, both staff members gave us their full attention and were very unbiased and informative regarding the ring set’s design, quality and value. When I tried to pay them for their help they wouldn’t hear of it! They simply said to please remember them in the future for any of our jewelry or watch needs. Definitely!
I own a service oriented business and it is rare to observe another business that understands the long term benefit of building a relationship with the client instead of the short sighted «get all that you can as fast as you can» approach to making a living. Wayne and his wife Maria take great care in the work they do for their customers. Every time I was in there he was making a customer happy with his honest help. He is unlike any «jeweler» you will come across. I never felt like I was trying to be sold in any way. He really wants you to be comfortable and beyond happy with the results. The engagement ring I had made there came out stunning. We have had it for a week now and my fiancé gets more compliments than she can handle (not really — she loves it) and I’ve even been told I need to sell it for a house in Malibu or get a second job now… Which really isn’t the case because Wayne will make what you want happen within your budget.
