AVOID! THE DENTIST HERE IS A CROOK!
I don’t know why I haven’t left this review when I had a major problem with them. but if you are unfamiliar with this dental office read this before making any decisions.
About 5 – 6 months ago I had applied for medi-​cal and later realized that I am covered by denti-​cal as well. I make an appointment with one of the dentists for him to see my teeth and just to do a check.
Prior to this I would go to Dr. Ostad in Carmel Mountain, and Dr. Ostad Always mentioned that I have really good teeth.
That being said, I go to my appointment in Dental Familiar and the dental assistant girl does xray on my teeth and after she was done she also said «you have great teeth, be thankful!», I said thank you and the doctor arrives and without even pointing at my teeth he starts counting 1−2 – 3-…11! He says you have cavities in 11 teeth of yours. At the time I was shocked. How would this be possible. I mean if it was 1 or 2 or even 3 I would understand but 11!!! I ask him will the fillings be visible? or will be the same color as my teeth. he says same color. so there we go and we make an appointment for the following week so he could drill the first 3 teeth of mine and to fill them.
I arrive to that appointment he drills and fills them up with silverish kinda fillings. I ask them «I thought you said it’s be the same color?» he responds, «No I didn’t, the ones same color to your teeth is $ 80.00 per teeth.» After this statement I began to worry if he is being honest. Then I thought to myself if he says 11 of my teeth have cavities without literally showing me which ones, he must not be making any money from medical from 1 – 2 teeth fillings. so He would say 11 to make more money from dentical or medical.
after that day I sep an appointment with 2 other dentists to take a look at my teeth toreally see if I have cavities in any of them, at first before the visits both drs say that I most likely would have cavities and that the dentist might have been right but to be sure they have to physically check. The first Dentist I go to takes xray first and checks my teeth physically and she says «this might shock you but you have absolutely no cavities! not a single one!» :(
So I go to the other dentist he also takes xrays and checks my teeth and says «you have great teeth, nothing was found in there.»
Both doctors kinda went through on how they find these cavities on Xray and showed me there’s no single sign that I have cavities.
I requested dental familiar to send me the xrays they took from me to one of these dentists and they refused to send them.
I tried taking legal action against this matter but lots of people said that with dentists it won’t get anywhere…
So If you’re reading this I want you to know why I got reminded to write this is because I feel this pain in my teeth which this crook dentist had drilled and it comes and goes every here and there. I don’t have the power to do anything. but I know he’s doing it to more patients to make that extra money… my fine teeth got screwed for life and this guy made money out of them…
I hope karma pays him back for being dishonest with me… :(
