Worse service I have ever received! The wait was ridiculous my food and drinks took forever, the server never went to check on us. Finally when I went to pay there is people waiting to pay phone ringing like crazy and no employee in sight. When the manager finally shows up I tell him about my visit and he gives me an excuse, I did not ask for an excuse of why my service was terrible. Very unprofessional. The El Norte location is the best IHOP in town.

This I hop sucks !! Service is horrible ! We came here at night couple of times, when they’re not busy, and still took them 20 mins to get my order, with bad actitude ! Not recommended !!

The service is really bad. The waiter was rude. We waited for 25 minutes inky to wait another 10 minutes for the waiter to come. He took our order for drinks and we told him we were ready to order. He said no you wait for drinks then I get order. Then he came to take our order and was being rude. I told him that. He said it is very busy you need to hurry. Tee got our food and there were no utensils. We asked him, he brought 3 when there were 4 of us. He never came back with the other one. We grabbed one off another table. There are a few waiters and waitresses working there but they just keep talking to each other rather than taking care of there customers.

This is literally the worst IHOP I have ever been to. The waitress claimed that we weren’t in her section even though all the guests around were getting serviced by her. We had to go get someone just to get our drinks ordered which was after 20 minutes waiting then waited another 10 to order our food. Someone came 15 minutes after we got there and was finished eating and left before we got our food. Only took 50 minutes to get our food. In the words of DJ Khaled «They don’t want you to have breakfast» never coming back here

Very poor service, being rushed out not even half way through my meal from the restaurant by the waiter. Felt that he wanted to go to his break more than be courteous with the customer

My son and I stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. Coffee was good and the individual creamers just came out of the icebox… Awesome! I love cold creamers/​half n half.

I forgot how blah ihops are. The food was ok the service was okay the coffee was okay. I felt like it was a little pricey, much rather prefer going to a non chain for breakfast but overall it was an ok experience. The pumpkin pancakes were a little dry and bland tho.

One of my favorite breakfast chain establishments, just moved to the area so I had to check it out for myself. I gotta say the food, service and overall cleanliness of the place was on fleek. It probably had something to do with the time I came in, you know, normal breakfast hours around 9am. This IHOP is 24hours and must get the after hours rowdy crowd all the time, like any other 24hr food establishment.
Huge fan of their breakfast food so I will be returning for more… Soon!

Our waiter was ivan and he was very nice but the service, not so nice. We were seated and waited about 20 minutes before our order was taken, we waited another 40 minutes for our food to be brought out to us. It was busy but still no excuse to sit at a table for an hour to get our food. The staff is nice but it doesn’t excuse the poor service.

I was very disappointed in the service. After being seated, we waited for over 20 minutes for some one to JUST take our beverage order. I look around to see how busy they were. HALF EMPTY! Two waitress past us at least 10 times but we got no attention. Finally, the manager comes asked us if we got our beverage order. I said NO. We told her that we are ready to order. She tells that she will bring a waitress over. SERIOUSLY! We waited another few minutes.
At the end, we went to check out and the manager was seating the next guest. I’m thinking «at least she making for our crappy service». When she comes back to check me out, she talking on the cell phone. She just takes the check and puts in the computer while talking on her cell phone. Completely unprofessional and outright rude.
Will not be coming back to this iHop. Especially, when I get better service at Denny’s.

horrible service. The waiters might be nice but I have given this place multiple chances and every single time they let me down. your food will always come incomplete and u will wait for everything to show up. by the time u get ur test ur breakfast will be cold. They are always very unorganized and even with very little amounts of people there they can’t get their act together. I would maybe go to the San Marcos one. It is a little better. It isn’t amazing but the service is good.

The service is amazing. However, the food preparation is horrible. I got a fruit plate and all the fruits are old and don’t look appealing. The vegetable omelet was more of a scrambled-​eggs-​not-​cooked-​mushrooms-​omelet. Wouldn’t eat here again.

Can’t believe it’s been over a year since my review. Anyway, there has been a noticeable improvement concerning noisy children, but I can only upgrade by one star. Everything else remains about the same. Keep working on the noise level IHOP and maybe I can give another rating increase.

The meal was delicious and very filling. The service was quick and efficient. I was greeted with a smiles from the moment I walked in, when waited on, & when I left. A very pleasant visit,

Horrible service my dish was not good at all waited forever for a refill and when I got my food I didn’t had any napkins she did not came to check on us… I had to ask overall bad experience never coming back!

Back here the server Laura wasn’t as friendly as the servers in the broken yolk café I might understand if she is having a bad day but she had an attitude I had to get up to get napkin and then we waited 20mins to get a refill this is far n expensive from wat I expected to be

The service is usually subpar or worse but I do love me some breakfast ²⁴⁄₇. This location seems to have lower customer service standards than most other IHOPs in our local area. It is a super convenient location for your breakfast-​for-​dinner fix though. The other location by the freeway isn’t significantly better so going out of your way isn’t really worth it.

Is a –5 a valuable ratting? Bad service!
Half of our food was cold, once the food was brought to the table she didn’t bother to check on us till we were ready to leave. The young guy at he register was texting the whole time we were there. A few tables behind us there were a lady with her 2 year old. Waiting to for somebody to take their order after a good 45 minutes past the women stormed out of the restaurant yelling to 3 workers that wanted to take her order. «I am going to report you with your manager’ another employee standing by the young man at the front desk said «what ever» I was shocked, to their reaction. They were careless almost like if they were actually happy they had two less customers to serve. WOW!!!
Message to employees: if you are working with the public maker sure you work with them by helping them in any way, shape, or form. Because of us you get a paycheck.
Message to manager: you need to supervise your employees better while serving customers on the floor. And need to make wiser decisions on your hiring. This happened on 08/​14/​2013 around 8am
I will never go there again.
