Homemade tortillas were bomb. I love corn tortilla quesadillas/​mullitas. So, this was a must-​have since it’s rare to find at taco shops.
I got the shredded chicken which was yummy. However, my daughter had the carne asada tacos and the meat was just wow. I wish I would’ve opted for carne asada.
There will be a next time for a carne asada mullitas for sure. They have a great salsa bar. Just take your plate to it to load up. (They don’t offer salsa cups).
There is a fountain soda machine and free refills on agus frescas… horchata it up!

First time coming here. The venue is very large and spacious. The food is well-​priced. I tried huaraches for the first time. It was a bit toasty for my taste, but pretty good. They have a mariachi man walking around; he is so cute! Overall a great experience.

Nice place and reasonable prices for the size of tacos. I come here often and food is usually good until recently. For the past two times my taco meat has been very dry which makes it hard to swallow.

I had to try this place a couple times to make sure good it is! Their small little Street style tacos are the bomb!
I usually order their chicken or carne asada quesadillas which are small and amazing. I haven’t explored the menu to much beyond those tacos because they are so good I keep getting them.
This Mexican food place is decent size, like double the size of your usual Mexican spot. No drive thru option but they are fast and located right off the freeway @ the 78 and 15 intersection.
This last time I went there I noticed another patron enjoying their soup (which looked amazing!!).
I’ll definitely be back this is a good unassuming place that you could easily drive past a hundreds of times before you noticed it.

One of the best Taquerias in Southern California! Fresh made tortillas and fresh made ingredients are the recipe for great tacos! The carnitas tacos are awesome with condiments from their salsa bar! Killer food, excellent service and friendliness all make it worth a trip to this place!

Great place to come after the children’s discovery center around the corner. Apparently my 1 year old loves cochinita pibil. They have high chairs and don’t care if children are loud/​annoying/​messy. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Locally supported. Purchased super good sized chicken burritos along with a beef and chicken street taco to try with my husband. When we got to our condo, we ended up sharing the burrito and eat the other one for lunch the next day! Wonderfully flavored, packed with meat; great value! Darling sweet smiled young gal who works the counter was so kind; when I called to let her know we left without our guacamole and chips she assured us no problem to come back the next day and grab them!

There tacos are good when the meat is not burnt. 3 out 4 times there meat would be burnt. I even let them know when I order that I don’t want burnt meat and still get burnt meat. When I say burnt I mean burn black meat that taste like charcoal not well done. I stop eating there years ago for the same reason and decided to give them a try again but they loss my business again. I never been to a restaurant that serves burnt meat before and I eat out everyday. I wish I could post a picture of my food.

Not good. The chicken tacos are overly seasoned. The asada tacos r unflavored. And the tortillas taste as if they were cooked all the way. Won’t be coming back to this again.

We keep coming back for a reason, or many of reasons. The rolled tacos with special ordered melted cheese, the handmade tortillas, the flavorful meats keeps me coming back. One of the best hole in the walls in North County.

Best barbacoa EVER! I don’t even want to know what part of the animal their using to make it here, I just want to eat it. Mouth wateringly good.
I’ve eaten several different menu items from this location and even when to a party where they had La Takiza cater and all the stops were pulled out. Good food, great people and AMAZING barbacoa.

We had La Takiza come onsite to do a company lunch. These types of things can be hit or miss — I mean we’re feeding ~400 employees and not every vendor can handle that with speed, efficiency and make everyone happy. La Takiza, however, was able to do just that. Due to the nature of our business, employees are required to take their lunches at specific times. Consequently, company wide lunches can cause lines and frustrations. This did not happen when La Takiza came to serve, even with them making tortillas onsite. Additionally, they were extremely affordable and did all of their own clean up/​set up, etc. Super impressive!
It helps that the food was all tasty (we did four types of meat for a little bit larger than normal street tacos, plus salsas, rice, beans and agua frescas) and people went back for thirds and fourths!

I came here after work because I heard the one in Vista was pretty awesome. I made an order to go with the cashier. He was polite and asked me to excuse him for a minute. I looked at the menu until he came. He came back quick, took my order and gave me three little cups with lids and a sandwich bag. At the fixins bar you can garnish your tacos with as much onions, cilantro, lemons and sauces as you’d like. I loaded up my sandwich bag and cups. The place is pretty large with a TV and some coin-​operated machines that have knick-​knacks, lots of seating too. The adobada tacos weren’t bad but the campechano mulita was great, the combination of cheese, beef and pork were awesome together. The tortillas were handmade and the tacos come with a single tortilla while the mulitas come with two. The mulitas are like little tortilla sandwiches stuffed with what you want.

Food is authentic, Micheladas are the best in town! The only negative is the dining room. It needs remodeling. The guacamole salsa is the bomb however, the wooden spoons they use at the salsa bar gross .they gotta go!

The tacos were ok… meat was seasoned well… thick flour tortillas added a different element. I was disappointed no toppings on these tacos at all. No guacamole, onions nothing… I’m sure some people prefer this but you can’t do pollo asada with just nothing… the salsas were a miss as well… the mula was tasty… chips were too… I will stick with caliente down the street

Nice hidden gem in Escondido, not hidden if you shop Mexican at Northgate. They have very tasty adobada (a tad drier than Del Gordo in the south) I got a stomach full of an adobada and a lengua mulita. Basically a quesadilla sammich with meat in the middle. They have a spicy salsa bar. Cheap too! Most tacos are under 2 bucks and they are generous with the meat!

I have been here twice now and am pretty impressed. I’ve tried about every type of taco they make, two of which I’ve never had before. This is the place for buche tacos. Done perfectly. They also serve a wonderful quesadilla.
Beer and bottled sodas are offered at the usual extreme mark-​up.
Prices are at about $ 1.85−2.50 for tacos, depending on the variety.
They have an above average salsa bar, with some tasty green salsas. Service is prompt, polite and the place is clean. Plenty of seating even during peak hours.
