I wouldn’t return here if it was last Ross on earth! :) I concur with the reviews on here…

I love me some great deals — Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls… love, love, love! However… I probably wouldn’t go in this store again if someone paid me! By far the WORST Ross store in all of San Diego. I have been to Carmel Mt, La Jolla, San Marcos, etc. I live in Escondido and was stoked when I came across this store. I was pregnant at the time and thought I would check out the maternity and baby section. BAD idea, the maternity clothes looked like something a 15 yr old would wear down to TJ to party in. and the baby clothes were dirty and stinky! Bluh! Don’t even waste your time with this store!

This place scared me. Badly. I went in ONCE around the holidays, so granted it was a busy time of the year. I was trying to buy a gift certificate for my uncle, who I swore said that he liked shopping there, so I had to scope the place out. Now, I’m a larger male… I buy XL to XXL shirts, and 40″ pants… which they had selections for, but you do not want those clothes. They didn’t even really have larger sizes on the shoes at the time, so I passed on the clothing altogether. I took a quick walk around the store instead. The poor place looked like a school-​full of children had just marched through every aisle and demolished whatever looked tidy, and then their parents quickly just set the mess back up on the shelves. I’ve seen them do it! (What is up with the trashy parents who do this? Somebody tell me!) The rest of the store had generic items that you’d purchase if you planned on breaking them in the next week, or if you didn’t mind your taste in home design, maybe you’d choose the tacky paintings that they carry.
Seriously, go down East Valley to the AmVets (closed since posting this review originally… try Goodwill on Washington) and pick out something useful or that might look good, because this selection was atrocious. I finally had to justify not buying that gift certificate for my uncle for his own good.

Ross stores can go to hell. I worked here in high school and during breaks in college. Ross liked to violate the employment laws by making me work too many hours during the school week and late at night — but I was poor and needed the money and no-​one else would hire my surly punk ass — so what could you do?
the seletion of clothes is pretty bad, ’cause its Escondido — and if I’m bargain clothes shopping I’d rather go to Neiman Marcus Last Call where I can actually find cute things — their shoe selection was good back in the day, I could pick up shoes for $ 5, which was nice. but my tastes have changed and I would not shop here.
