I can not even begin to express my gratitude for the amazing customer service at this location!
I unfortunately did not get the cashiers name but every single time I come each and every cashier is so friendly and absolutely helpful! Today Michelle helped me with my groceries loading them on to the check out stand and into my car! It’s always difficult grocery shopping with a 6 month old baby strapped to your chest and her kind gesture made my entire day!
The store is super clean and the prices are reasonable!

I love this grocery store. Overall a standard grocery store, but with better prices than Von’s or Ralph’s. Where they excel is their customer service. I absolutely love the staff. Always friendly and helpful.
The only two issues I have about the store itself, is that the parking lot is always filled with homeless and «questionable» looking people, and that they allow dogs into the store. I am not talking services animals, I am talking bow-​in-​hair miniature poodles, chihuahuas, etc. I am a dog lover and have 2 awesome dogs that I love to death but they are DOGS. They don’t belong in a grocery store in my opinion.

Just moved to the area so this is my new regular grocery store. I’d never shopped at a Stater Bros before but I like how it’s pretty affordable and you don’t need a special card to get the deals. Everyone who works there is friendly and that’s the best part — it’s pleasant to shop there. :) I’ve only bought produce there once so far but it all seemed to be fresh.

I’m a big fan of Stater Bros, a great local grocery. They have affordable prices and the renovation was much needed! The place is freshened up a lot. The workers seem nice. Watch out for the deli… one of the girls dropped my lunchmeat on the floor and then handed it to me as if I wasn’t paying attention.

Came here last night. It is across the street from a Food 4 Less and if it wasn’t for me checking if Noosa Yogurt was available here I may have not come here. It was your average grocery store. Nothing spectacular, but not as horrible as some previous Unilocalers have stated. If I lived in the area, I would return for basic grocery needs.
I will mention that the specific aveeno lotion I was looking for at the moment was also here so that was a huge plus.
My yogurt is going to expire in 2 days and the cashier was nice enough to point that out to me. I have been to albertsons where other products were past due and I wouldn’t find out until going home so that was impressive.

this store is old and smells something funky. Found a bunch of mold int he milk section trays. hate it when I’m trying to put my kid in the car and the groceries in homeless and drug addicts come up to ask for change. the parking lot is full of them. the only good thing is staff is nice andhelpful feel sorry they have to work in such a dump though

This review is for the bakery only. I needed Sesame Street cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday, however Sesame Street is not popular and they did not have a pre made sheet cake design with the characters. The baker told me he could come up with something. I was more than happy with his designs. The cakes tasted great and looked awesome. They were also very inexpensive a third of the cost of a cutesy cake boutique.

–This store also has a funky smell like dirty stinky butt!
–The store location is a magnet for drunks and homeless people.
–Not the cheapest place to shop, but it does beat stores like Vons and Ralph’s.

I love shopping here. I get all of my groceries here. Great prices and a really great meat counter. All the employees here are so nice and helpful. They go out of their way constantly to be helpful too.

Stater Bros has some really good deals on meat and produce. You can often choose a single steak out of the butcher case, and get the same deal as the multi-​packs in the grab’n go section.
Their housebrand products are very good quality, and they even have some unusual products that are hard to find elsewhere. They have a good selection of beverages, including a big selection of Arizona teas in large bottles and 12 pack cans. Their markdowns are in the back left corner of the store near the dairy. You can get dented or discontinued items for less than half price.

Overall, I like Stater Bros, but my last couple of experiences have left me less than pleased with my purchases.
Most recently, I went there to buy produce. My Grapes turned quickly. More annoying even, I purchased a spaghetti squash. Two days later, I looked down and saw a rotting spot from under the tag. I pulled the tag off and the whole area was rotting! What the heck? The producer person must have done it on purpose because I’ve never seen this happen.
They should really talk to their produce supplier as it’s going downhill quickly.

For stater brothers being in a shady area of Escondido this store is amazing. I love the prices and the deli department. A few of the checkers are friendly (especially Rene and Gigi). Shop here don’t let the outside of this store scare you it’s amazing you will love this store been shopping here for two yeasts now.

I came here after eating in a restaurant close by. I got what I needed. The place was clean and organized. The cashier was nice and friendly. They also have lotto and Redbox at this location.

Just wanted to drop in an update. I was that guy last night that decided I couldn’t sleep and needed to do my grocery shopping at 10:30pm. I was cordially greeted by every staff member that I walked past and even the kid whom I interrupted cleaning out and closing down the butcher area was very helpful and had a great smile!

If you are loyal to union businesses, then this is probably your most affordable grocer. This store is in the ghetto part of Escondido. It’s shady and always use the club on your car in their parking lot.
The best things about the Stater Bros
1 — Great «stater brothers» branded canned goods.
2 — Meat deals.
3 — Cheap veggies.
4 — Large selection of Mexican goods.
