Chad’s eSCAPE review. Service +. Servers were really attentive and very friendly. We arrived at lunch time and there were three clerks available taking orders. There was virtually no line or wait for anybody. Order was prompt, by my name, and 100% correct. Cost. ½+. Half subs, subs and wraps were reasonable. Other items seemed a little more expensive than other similar shops. All add-ons(chips, salads, drinks) are ala carte. Atmosphere ½+. The counter was well organized and the salads were well stocked. The dining area though was a little small and not well decorated. It was adequate though for a sandwich shop. Palate +. The wrap I got was very fresh and loaded. And I mean loaded with meat, cheese and toppings I had ordered. All ingredients were exactly as ordered and the wrap as a whole was one of the best I have had in a very long time. Everything Else +. The sandwich sizes for the regular and the wraps were almost ridiculous in size. When loaded with cheese and veggies, they are almost too large to handle. Three of the five of us in our lunch party took at least half the sandwich/wrap home with them. They definitely don’t skimp and they are definitely not critically measuring ingredients like other sub shops.

Best Sandwich ever. Coming from Germany I am big in bread and this the best here: Crusty and super tasteful. Had the«Old Smokey» with Blackforest ham, Turkey and Smoked Gouda. All fresh, fast and excellent.

Every time I come here, I leave a happier person. The best sandwiches in all of Vermont! Rajin Cajun and Vermonter are both solid. Good bread, quality meat and friendly service.

Sandwiches are huge with plenty of protein and fresh veggies. Boars Head cold cuts. Home baked breads. Fresh baked scones the size of my head. Great soups.

One of the best! The bread is amazing, the meats, the cheeses… the only thing they’re missing is garlic mayo! If they had that, it’d be a 5 star ;-)

Some friends and I went here for lunch on the recommendation of one of the friends, between the 4 of us we got a salad, wrap, sandwich, soup and apple cranberry scone. We all split the scone — it was amazingly delicious! I’m a scone lover, and this thing was enormous(about the size of my whole hand), and tasty. I couldn’t finish my salad. I brought about half of it home and out of curiosity weighed it — almost 11 ounces! I’ve never gotten so full on a salad I couldn’t finish it(to be fair there was a huge portion of deli meat — pretty sure I could’ve made several sandwiches from it). The sandwiches and wrap were huge too. Everyone brought leftovers home, except for the soup. Very reasonably priced, considering the enormous portions! Will definitely visit again next time I’m in the area!

Absolutely the best sandwiches/wraps ANYWHERE!!! Fantastic scones in the morning, and tons of tasty salads, side dishes deli meats and cheeses. The twice baked potatoes are to die for! Lots of different sandwich combos to choose from. If you haven’t tried this place yet… you need to!

The sandwiches are expensive, but they’re also more food than a normal human should eat in one sitting so think of it as paying for at least two meals. Some of the deli case items are good too. I’ve never bought steaks from here, but I’ve heard good things. Get a Vermonter.

I wish we had a great sandwich shop in Arizona like this. Everything is fresh and customer service is hard to compete with. The coffee and drink selection is created for all walks of life. You can eat inside or outside

Best sandwiches ever. I’ve been going to Martone’s since I was a kid(right before a stop to the old Tip-Top News for some penny candy) and it’s maintained a place in my heart and stomach ever since. Every time I’m back in the Burlington area I make a special trip to Five Corners for a Martone’s sandwich. Their chicken salad sandwich on a French roll feels like home to me. And a giant, soft chocolate chip cookie to finish the meal, if you possibly have any room after the sandwich. No need to finish it all, the second half of the sandwich makes a great breakfast the next day…

Nestled in a quaint storefront area, Martone’s is Mecca for the person that appreciates a great sandwich. Dozens of options, from build your own to a large menu of signature creations(Get the Vermonter… repeat…GETTHEVERMONTER). Friendly, but busy, staff is always there to assist with any kind of specialty request or massive food order. The pricing is on the medium end of things, but the quality… and large portion size… easily make up for any gripes a person would have in paying a couple dollars more over what they would normally expect. There isn’t much else I think I need to say, just go here. In a world full of average chain sub shops, this little gem in Essex Junction is home to some of the best deli sandwiches in the area.

Best café in the area, hands down. The cinnamon rolls are to die for and the sandwiches are loaded with meat so you get your money’s worth and then some. Lines can get a bit long but service is prompt and courteous. There are other cafés in the area that are more expensive and not so good. This one is a winner every time.

So cute and cozy. Their ingredient list is huge and everything looked wonderful. I decided on a veggie and hummus sandwich on whole wheat and got every veggie on the list. The veggies were super fresh and delicious and the sandwich was huge. My husband and some friends got the whole subs and they were ENORMOUS. Definitely worth the money. I strongly recommend this place!

Ahhh Martone’s! I’ve gone once when I was a kid and now I go again as an adult, and I love it. The sandwiches are stuffed and they don’t skimp out on anything. I had the Vermonter which was great. The potato salad and tuna salad was amazing as well. Service was prompt and friendly. The only downside to Martone’s is that it’s a bit pricey for a sandwich… $ 8-$ 10. I couldn’t eat here everyday on my food budget.

The best sandwhich shop I know. Great bread piled with your choice of fillings. Boars Head brand meats. A full sandwhich is enough for two… consider a half or be prepared to stuff your self.

Been coming here for 15+ years. Solid. Everytime. I like the«Vermonter», but any of their sandwiches are good because they use quality ingredients, and they STACK them! But it doesn’t stop there… Quality butcher cuts. Salads. Prepared foods. Local.
