Walked in, bought a coffee, then had my family chased off for eating«outside food» because we had a bag of chips. Coffee sucks anyways, not fresh at all. Screw this place

I’m in heaven. This place is great! Great atmosphere, beautiful outdoor seating, friendly staff, amazing options for food and drink. I had a lavender chai– first of all– best damn chai I have ever had, secondly, the lavender was an amazing addition. We also ordered the bear claw donuts, we got a normal one and a raspberry one. Both heavenly. I so wish this place was near me!

The coffee is very good but the service is just awful. One of the cashiers, who appears to be there frequently, thinks nothing of stepping away from the register even when there is a long line of customers waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting, and he goes and checks his cell phone and is gone for several minutes at a time. I mean does he work there or is this just a hobby for him? Seriously? The setting is very nice, the coffee is good, but be prepared for a VERY long wait!

Great little spot to enjoy snacks and coffee. There is a wonderful pond where you can sit and watch the ducks as you eat. We have visited 3 times and enjoyed each trip. The coffee was good and be sure to try a muffin or the roast beef sandwich.

Went here yesterday and got a spicy chai, which was good. I bought one of their $ 20 tumblers and had them put my chai in it. Later in the afternoon, after I was cleaning the tumblr out, I noticed there was a chip in it. I was hiking and exhausted after hiking all day, so last thing on my mind was to go back to this place to return the cup. This morning I go in and asked the girl at the counter if it was okay if I swapped the tumbler out since this one had a defect. She told me I couldn’t because I bought it yesterday and that if I had bought it yesterday, it wouldn’t have been a problem. I told her that I was hiking all day yesterday, to which she responded«We close at 8.» She said that she individually checks all the mugs before she puts them out so there was no way there was a chip in it previously. I explained to her that I literally just bought this $ 20 mug yesterday and they were the ones who put the drink in it. I know that I didn’t put it there since it was used for one beverage and then safely stored in the car. Come here the nice view, I guess. But don’t waste your money on their cheaply made merchandise and lack of customer service.

One of the best spots in Estes Park!!! Go, go, go… now. Great coffee with one free refill. Coffee was good but that’s not why you come here. You want to come here for the coffee + the view = Awesomeness. Sit by the pond on one of the many adirondack chairs, prop your feet up on the foot rest, sip your coffee, stare off at the mountain, listen to the ducks, smell the fresh clean air, and leave refreshed.

Coffee tastes great. The best in that area. They have soy and almond milk options as well.

I loved this place. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area right next to a pond. You can feed ducks or sit back and relax on the patio. The owner was really helpful in pointing out the best sights in the area and which roads to take for the most scenic drives.

11:00 seemed like the perfect mid morning lull. We got a seat right away. By the time we left around noon it was pretty packed for the lunch crowd. Food was hot and delicious.

Pretty good coffee but the best thing about this place is definitely the location. The deck is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the mountain views.

I live in Estes and there is quite a few coffee shops and I like all of them but Coffee on the Rocks is by far my favorite. Their coffee is awesome, they have an great property right on a river with a pond that you can walk around. The owner and staff are super friendly and personable. I highly recommend!

I can’t imagine a more aesthetically pleasing spot to get your caffeine fix– Situated on a serene little pond perched over the Big Thompson river, the Coffee store offers ample indoor and outdoor seating around their fabulous little walk up counter. You can enjoy coffees, teas, and paninis– everyone raves for the sandwiches and breakfast burritos! The best is the little pond, complete with little ducks and a crunchy gravel nature trail, wild flowers. paving stones– You will sip your coffee, and meditate on how awesome life is.

In Estes Park from Oklahoma; staying for a week. An obviously very popular coffee shop around town. I’m not the biggest fan of sugary and sweet coffee in the mornings, so I grabbed a cup of their Kona black coffee. It was maybe 3⁄5 stars worthy. But it was only $ 2. The view is great. The pond has chairs all around it and it’s in a sunny spot with ducks on the water. Prettiest place that I’ve ever drank okay coffee. (Remember, I only had their black coffee; their other drinks could be better).

We stopped here for a latte and a smoothie, the lady had a green tea smoothie and she said she really liked it. I had a latte and what was there was pretty good, but holy skimp on the coffee. We bought the larger size and the coffee was like an inch and a half below the brim. Shouldn’t exactly promote a size and then just skimp on the coffee, especially for how much a cup costs nowadays. I probably wouldn’t stop here again for a coffee, but it was a pretty nice place to walk around since there was a little duck pond with corn to feed them.

We stopped by Coffee on the Rocks Halloween weekend after hiking all day at RMNP. We wanted to get some lattes for the ride back to Denver to keep us awake. We decided to stop at Coffee on the Rocks since we drove right by it. Coffee on the Rocks is just so stinking cute. It is settled on the water and has gorgeous views. They have a welcoming fire pit on the deck and chairs set up. We decided rather than driving home with our drinks, to just sit and enjoy the gorgeous scenery and take it all in. So, we ordered some drinks, got our dog, and planted our buns next to the fire and enjoyed our drinks while star gazing and admiring the scenery. I would say sitting by the bonfire was a highlight of the day. It was so peaceful and beautiful. It was a chilly evening but the lattes warmed us right up. The kind man working at the shop even brought us some cheesy potato soup on the house! Honestly, the experience was perfection. Very delicious coffee and creative lattes. Awesome atmosphere. Stellar soup. 5 star experience in my book. Definitely worth a stop if you are in need of coffee while visiting the park. I will be stopping by every time I am in town!
