So. This place is a little sketchy looking from the outside and is a little bit on the outskirts of town. But. It was very busy inside and the food is absolutely awesome. We had the fillet mignon and flat iron steak and both were cooked perfectly and were incredibly flavorful. It was by far the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The service was excellent and the inside is very homey and inviting.

While visiting Estes a few months back, my boyfriend and I met my cousin here for dinner and drinks at her suggestion. I am so glad she picked this place, it’s super cozy and felt like a place you would want to become a regular at. Lots of wood, great beer, live music. We shared the hummus and the spicy corn dip(which were both good) and had a couple of beers each. It was a busy night but we were seated fairly quick and got to catch some of the trio perform. Definitely a place I will visit again when I am in the area!

Tasty food with plenty of vegetarian options too. The live music added to the vibes as well. Service was friendly and the pricing was reasonable.

You know it’s good when you show up on a Tuesday night in the middle of winter and it’s packed! I figured it would be empty like most of Estes in the winter. Even with the wait, the staff was super friendly, and the food was great. The hummus appetizer is yummy, and I got the traditional pizza, which was pretty good, as well. You might want to send someone ahead of your group to get your name in, or I think they let you call ahead. I think the waits have more to do with a lack of seating, but that is also part of the cozy charm and wonderful experience!

Went for a nice meal and intimate evening and that’s what we got. The steak fillets were right on point and same the the fish dishes. The live music was a nice touch. Drinks were delicious especially the adult coffees!

Passing through Estes Park and stopped here for lunch. Fruit Pancakes, crêpe and salads. Everything was really really good! Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere

Another hesitant purchase from a small town eatery turned AWESOME! I really wanted to dine-in at Rock Inn but we had a baby with us that had been in the park all day. So instead, we ordered takeout and enjoyed the meal riverside at a small cabin just a couple blocks away! I wasn’t in the mood for anything heavy, so I ordered two appetizers for my meal. The rest of the family(7 people total) all enjoyed entrees to go and were equally satisfied. You must try their Spicy Corn Dip! And their Hummus was delicious too. Short review but the impression was made. We plan to go back on our next visit to RMNP.

We went the day after thanksgiving and was seated by 5:30. The place packed out by 6:30 and the locals know this is a good place. Wonderful serve and great food. We tried the pizza, the salads, and the burgers. All plates were clean so that tells the story of good food. Service was great and they got slammed and yet still had a great attitude. The bR was packed to that tells me the local connections and service was both fun and entertaining. Great selection of craft beers and wine. The smaller tables for 2 seems to be romantic so that is a place I recommend for your date nights

Food was dry and fairly tasteless. Good beer specials. But you have to expect more for paying what you pay. Not super impressed.

Stayed at Elk Meadows RV Park close by. First night we got an Buffalo burger and fried pickles to go because we were so tired. Great lean burger cooked just right. Husband liked his fried pickles, too. Second night we hit happy hour after the Park and enjoyed 2 for 1 good house Chardonnay, appetizer of Cajun shrimp and polenta and fresh trout dinner. Ate at bar b/c was crowded. Go early or make a reservation. Always crowded at dinner time!!! Also have music on some nights. Bartenders are helpful and food is good! Will go back next time.

OK, probably should be 4 stars but this is Estes Park, not exactly the foodie capital. So I bumped it a star for that reason. I think this is some of the best food you’ll find in this area! I loved, loved, loved the chicken wings… perfectly balanced spices! Great burgers and steaks!

Atmosphere gets 5 stars. Food 3 stars but still some of the best food we’ve had in town. Go on Tuesdays for an awesome open jam night!

I visited this restaurant, and reservations are suggested. I did have to wait, but not very long. I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf, and had the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was perfect except for one thing. They seem to be stingy on drink refills. I had water, and could never really flag down a waitress for a refill after the glass was empty.

This place was highly recommended by my brother and his wife. We(my wife and I with my brother and his wife) stopped here after a 10 mile hike in the park. The atmosphere reminds me of a lodge. There was also live music playing. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. We started with the wings and corn cheese dip with tortilla chips. The wings were spicy juicy and delicious. The chips were good with a cheesy corn dip. There were enough wings for all four of us to have a few, but it seemed like the chip app was a little small to me. We ordered drinks shortly after we made our app orders. Our server was very nice about it, but she forgot to put the drink order in and once she did put the drinks in, they were slow arriving. I ordered a sandwich that my brother regularly gets here based on his recommendation. The chargrilled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce bacon mushrooms and red onion. I did order this with cheese, but it showed up without the cheese and without he BBQ sauce. I noticed the missing sauce and our server was able to resolve that quickly, but I didn’t notice the cheese was lacking until after I had mostly finished the sandwich. The sandwich was good, but not special. My brother’s wife ordered the Meatloaf. She enjoyed it and thought it would go even better with the mashed potatoes. She let me try the meatloaf and I found it to resemble typical meatloafs of my childhood and not something I am itching to order myself. My brother ordered the steak tips special smothered in a mushroom cream sauce. He enjoyed them and thought they were good enough to try replicating at home. I also tasted the steak and found it flavorful and tender. The sauce was good, but it didn’t overwhelm me. My wife precede the french dip sandwich with mozzarella and mushrooms. I thought this was also ok, but I didn’t long for this dish instead of the decent sandwich I ordered. My wife said succinctly, «not great.» They did have a few good beers on the drink menu. I ordered the Left hand milk stout nitro on guest draft and my wife ordered the Fat Tire. The beer menu was limited and I am happy I found something I like(you won’t be overwhelmed with drink options). Overall, this was an ok spot. If it was a better deal, I could be more impressed. It didn’t live up to its fairly pricey menu.

What a fab joint! Wondering what’s going on in the town of Estes Park at night? This is the place to be! We came in close to 10 pm on a Friday night. Some of us were running on very little sleep(silly us for taking a 6 am flight) and we’d already been turned away from one joint since their kitchen was closing, so we were happy to see this place so alive and kicking. Due to said exhaustion, we planned on just placing an order and taking it back to the hotel to eat. We proceeded to the bar to order and the gentleman who placed our order was very friendly and even asked us if we wanted silverware to go with our meal. Very considerate. It seemed like a packed house so I can see there might be a wait during prime time dinner hours. They had a live bluegrass band playing which contributed to the festive atmosphere. I totally wished we could have stayed here longer! Perusing all the flyers in the bathroom, it seems like they have different music acts come in to play most nights. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much of the food looking at this place but was pleasantly surprised. The menu had a very good selection of dishes ranging from trout to filet mignon to pizza making it hard for us to pick. It was late at night so we didn’t want to gorge ourselves but fried pickles I’m coming back for you! My friend and I shared the Char-grilled chicken burger and it was delicious! Chicken was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients tasted fresh. My other friend got the vegetable medley with the elk sausage. The elk sausage tasted a little bland to me but it was my first time trying it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The kale and butternut squash in the medley looked very appetizing. Although I didn’t get the full experience since I didn’t dine in, this definitely seemed like a great place to hang out any night of the week and with free live music included, that’s pretty hard to beat.

Overpriced and not very good. Steak was meh at best and not cooked according to what I requested. The drinks were flat-out terrible: saccharine and watered down, not to mention terribly balanced with ingredients. The menu is an overload and scattered, and the waiter couldn’t answer any questions about it. He didn’t offer any helpful suggestions, either. The only real advantage is that there aren’t a lot of places open late(especially off-season).

Our first night stop. Got there before 6pm to enjoy the amazing early bird pricing and happy hour specials. Great food! Appetizers were awesome! Kids had a penne and cheese, it had a delicious cheese sauce. Then we had bacon wrapped meatloaf and the lemon dill trout, they were both amazing. Music was also good! Will definitely come back again!

By far the best meal that we had during our entire stay in Colorado! Great little place with a great atmosphere. Be prepared for a wait at peak dinner times but with a drink in hand, sitting around the outdoor fire pit with the mountains in the background, we didn’t mind the wait so much. The staff was super friendly and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Estes Park.

I like this place for the atmosphere and availability of vegetarian entrees. It is a cozy log cabin type of place with a wonderful fireplace. Very welcoming! They have nice happy hour specials, too. The prices are somewhat high, but it’s Estes Park. But still. In the winter they need to take it down a notch, at least. Everything I have tried here has been delicious, the service is good, and it’s just a cool place. Highly recommend — I’d say this is the best restaurant for dinner in Estes Park.

This place Rocks! The atmosphere was warm, cozy and inviting. Overall the best appetizers & ambience we found in Estes Park… The bartender, staff and locals were very friendly. Highly recommend the «Devils on Horseback» for an appetizer. The food was awesome, great micro beers, real fireplace & the bonus was the locals jamming to Bluegrass. Bring your guitar, anyone can join…(Thursday) Perfect Mountain Experience on our last night…
