I had chili. A can of Hormel would have been better. Even the cornbread was awful. This is a tourist trap intended to appeal to people who come to visit the local Amish. A better bet is Dawn’s Family Deli in Summertown or Huckleberry’s House of Food in L-burg. Those places are actually good. Not here.

The food tastes home cooked daily. The staff is friendly and the service is outstanding. We are regulars and have made this a place for our family to create memories and eat delicious food!

Nice country atmosphere, food was excellent, service was wonderful. The only down side is the hours are from 11 – 2. It would be great if they were open for dinner.

Our extended family of 18 came in to tour Amish farms. We all stopped here for lunch based upon the Unilocal reviews of excellent service and southern cooking. We were not disappointed! The pulled pork, chicken fried steak were delicious. The southern vegetables were as well. Great lunch! Plenty of seating for our crowd. Thanks again.

Always friendly service, but they can get busy, overwhelmed, and forgetful. Just be aware is you go during peak hours. Seems to be the place for big groups to go while touring Amish country so be aware of that too. I’ve never had a bad thing to eat. Catfish is perfect. Brussels sprouts are my favorite. Desserts are homemade. Portions are generous. Sweet tea is super sweet. I always ask for half n half. Good to support the local business owners!

Pros: Clean dinning area and they had a health inspection with 96 out of 100 which I assume is really good. Good service. Large portions. Cons: The veggies tasted like they were from the can or were cooked to much. The prices seemed high for the quality. Not a large selection. If it would have been cheaper I would have given 3 stars. The people I ate with thought it was very good but I am more discerning. The crowd at the time was mostly 60 and over.

Awesome country meat and veggies! The meatloaf is the best I’ve ever had! Great service, atmosphere and yummy food. If I’m ever driving through there again, I will definitely stop by again.

I was directed here by a lady at one of the local shops. It ended up being an excellent suggestion. It is a small café that serves locals a well cooked hearty meal, mostly lunches served from a hot food table. Basically a meat and three vegetable service with several meat choices and about eight or more vegetable choices. We tried a little bit of everything amoung the four of us and voted all was just the way we like it. All of us were raised on southern home cooking and if we closed our eyes we could have been sitting at our mothers’ table. Prices were reasonable. We didn’t have room for dessert but what we saw others eating looked delish. If you’re visiting the Amish farms in this area of Tennessee be sure to stop here for lunch, several Amish gentlemen were dining with us so it must have a good local reputation.
