James Cummings Tree Service removed all our landscaping plants and trees from a property we are remodeling. It was a bank owned property and we needed to start over since it had been neglected for five years. The house is located in the Valley River Village Subdivision and the property line borders one of the ponds. The Homeowners Subdivision was very concerned the tree removal would cause damage to the pond liner, the walkway pedestrian paths and common area. James Cummings Tree Service used large cranes and a array of other large trucks/​equipment.
They worked with us for hours discussing the project. Never did they have us feel comfortable answering our many questions and communicating a workable plan. They began at 9 and finished at 5. This was a large complicated job. They left with every detail attended to. The property was cleaned of all debris, clippings… everything associated with the removal. We were there most the day out of curiosity… and what I saw was a crew which were professional in every way. They all had great attitudes. A five star rating does not communicate how grateful I am for the service they offer. They far exceeded our expectations. If you need work done… don’t look any further! Serious!

We are so very happy with the amazing service provided by James Cummings Tree Service. There were 3 specialists who came to our home — Shawn, Jim and Evan — to remove trees and to prune and remove dead branches from our 4 Douglas Fir trees, They were very efficient, pleasant, hard-​working and did an amazing job with all that we asked — and more! The clean-​up was far better than we had expected! We are completely satisfied and highly recommend them!!! The estimate and the work was all done in a very timely manner — and Lynnea provided good suggestions and professionalism. Excellent experience in every way!

These guys were great and came highly recommended by friends of ours who own several properties around Eugene. They cleaned up the widow makers from several large fir trees on my property as well as an oak that had snapped a large branch from the ice storm. They also removed several smaller trees that were too close to each other and the fence. The crew was cheerful, efficient and clean. One of the crew members even shared a copy of the video he took of the valley from atop one of the big firs. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

We had a great experience with James Cummings Tree Service. Their estimator Darren came out twice, and talked me through some short-​term needs and long-​term possibilities to care for our oaks and firs. He was friendly, genuine, and straightforward, and gave a totally reasonable estimate (I got 3 estimates, and JCTS tied with another company for the best price). They worked with me to find a date that would work for all of us, and even squeezed it in before my daughter’s birthday party! Jim came to do the actual tree removal (4 dead trees and a large widowmaker branch), and his work was efficient and high-​quality. They even did a great job cleaning up! To be honest, I’d been putting off some tree removals, because I was worried it would be prohibitively expensive and a big hassle, but this process was neither. I’m glad to have found a tree service that I can work with for years!

We just had James Cummings Tree Service remove a large tree from our back yard. Prior to giving them the OK, I met with their estimator twice. Not only were we concerned about damage to our landscaping but also our neighbor’s expensive new driveway as Cummings needed to access this driveway in order to remove our tree.
We are very pleased with their work as they showed great care in protecting both our properties. Not a plant was damaged nor a drop of oil was left on the driveway.
In addition, the cost for the work was very reasonable.
If we have a need for tree work in the future, we will definitely call James Cummings Tree Service.

We just had three trees removed by James Cummings. Price was reasonable. We couldn’t be happier at this point. The crew was respectful, did a very professional job and cleaned up nicely. Definately deserving of a five star rating. Would use them again in a minute

We called James’s tree service when we needed 4 tall, dead trees removed, because several neighbors had recommended them after JCTS had work done for them.
We, also, were extremely pleased with their work!
JCTS is licensed, bonded, and insured, which is what we’d decided we’d need.
We had a tricky site because the pumphouse and some power lines were close to our project. The James crew crew felled those dead trees exactly where they wanted to, then chipped and hauled away all the brush and cut the good logs into fireplace-​length pieces, leaving them easily accessible for us and our neighbors to gather — all as they had promised in writing and for a fair price.
Not only that, but they are very nice and caring — they understand the trees, and also our concerns about them.

Hire James Cummings Tree Service (JCTS) if you want the best in the business! Im writing this review on a wet Sunday afternoon. Earlier today a large Oak tree landed on my roof. I needed assistance quickly. I had previously hired JCTS to take out a large Fir tree that was dangerously close (growing through the deck). His crew skillfully took it down in pieces. They impressed me on that day, so I called today and they came out immediately. James seems to be a perfectionist and very concerned for quality as well as safety. In a matter of hours they had completed the job. At a VERY reasonable price. He is an arborist, a great logger, does what he says he is going to do when he says he’ll do it. What more can you ask for? Oh, and his equipment is all top notch. You will be happy that you contacted JCTS!
