This is not the best location of this chain restaurant. While the food is consistently the same as other Chipotle locations, the amount of food provided is noticeably less than you get at other Chipotle restaurants, and customer service was not as friendly compared to other locations. I will avoid going to this location and patronize the other food options in Evanston.

Solid 3. Chipotle is my guilty pleasure and while you can depend on consistent taste across all, some do stand out above the others. This one is not one of those but you can get your fix and leave satisfied.

Ordering online at this place is probably the worst thing you can do. Not only will it never be ready on time, but it’ll most likely always be wrong. Three consecutive occasions, we ordered ahead. One time – got there just after the pick-up time specified and were completely ignored by the cashier at first. Obviously, they were very busy, but online orders are an advertised part of their business and shouldn’t be treated as a hindrance. So finally someone comes over and asks our names, then tells us we didn’t order online. Hmm, well we show them the email receipt and she takes the phone and writes it down(clearly annoyed). We watch as they make two simple bowls and get things wrong in both. THEN they get even MORE annoyed when we ask them to fix it. Reading is hard, I know. Another time – bowls were ready, we didn’t check them(big mistake) and they were missing half the protein that we ordered. If you can go to another location, you should. No one here seems to care or value you as a customer.

I go to Chipotle often. Tried the one in Evanston twice and each time the PORTIONS were so SMALL, when I asked for a bit more, I got a look like I was asking for the meal for free.

Gross! Unfriendly, unknowledgeable staff! No food! Staff drinking soda within customers view behind the grill line. No ice in the ice machine! Wow is this what Chipotle had come to! Spend your money else where.

I agree with the 3 stars that this chipotle has in Unilocal. The food is good and as expected. The wife liked her sofritas burrito and I had chicken. Prior to this non-meat option, I could never get her to go here. Now she will, which is good for me. I appreciate the addition to the menu, which may not even be new. What I don’t like about chipotle is there meat never looks particularly good. I get that it’s antibiotic free, etc., but it never looks very good.

Typical Chipotle food, which I love! The problem is this location. The outside tables are never put out, so people are forced to use neighboring tables or just do it themselves. Also, for a business that promotes organic food and green environmental practices, their outside area is filthy. Every time I walk by, the ground is littered with Chipotle trash, napkins, etc… Try adding an outside garbage or maybe actually do some cleaning.

What the hell is this? I ordered a kid’s cheese quesadilla with organic apple juice and chips but I only got 3 soft tacos with unmelted mozzarella cheese in it. How the hell is that a quesadilla? Where is my drink and chips? In my chicken burritos bowl, I asked for chili corn and they never put it in. Will never eat from that chipotle ever again. The service there is terrible. Don’t you double check what you’re doing before you give someone their order? Oh wait, no. They don’t, that’s why orders are usually wrong.

I love Chipotle. Burritos, bowls, salads…(never tried the tacos). Aside from some particularly drone-like employees, this particular location is the same as any other except for one huge problem… BURRITOWRAPPING! For some reason, the workers here have a really hard time getting my burrito wrapped. Usually they just default to double(and sometimes triple!) wrapping, rather than trying to re-wrap them. I order the same burrito every time I go to any Chipotle and can’t even remember the last time I had this problem. So… unless you order tiny burritos or non-burritos, I recommend elsewhere!

I’m reviewing a Chipotle. Now that I’ve accepted that that’s something I’m evidently doing now, I’m just going to lean into it. So overall, I love Chipotle. It’s a great easy meal and I still maintain they have the best guacamole I’ve ever had. If you’re in Evanston, and you’re looking for a quick, easy, cheap, Mexican-ish meal(and for some inexplicable reason you don’t like Taco Bell), you can’t go wrong with Chipotle. Biggest Pro: they have Coke Zero on their soda machine Biggest Con: listening to undergrads

I live approximately 5 min away from this location and choose to drive 10 – 15 min to go 2 other locations in Skokie(how do they have at least 3 Chipotle’s?). Service has always been sub-par with employees who just don’t care. It takes FOREVER to get food which makes the line just end up out the door. They never open on time either, while they enjoy their free meals sitting staring at the customers waiting outside. Doesn’t help there is a severe lack of parking in the area(not their fault).

As far as a Chipotle goes, it’s pretty standard. The only problem is that this location is so popular that there is almost always a line…

My interaction: Me: Chicken burrito, please. Server: White or brown rice? Me: Brown, please. (Server proceeds to go for white rice) Me: I said brown, please. (Puts white rice on the tortilla) Me: Okay. I guess I’m having white. Server: What kind of meat? Me: On my chicken burrito? Ummm… let’s get crazy with it. How about chicken. (Proceeds to put on about three pieces of chicken) Server to Cashier: Chicken burrito. Cashier to Me: What did you have? (facepalm) Two stars because I didn’t get food poisoning.

It is like all the other Chipotle’s in the country. Meh. The price is like 5 bucks cheaper than in the NYC area. Score!

I love chipotle, but this location is really bad. The staff is always turning over, they are usually grumpy, and they tend to be stingy. Just recently I placed an online order and when we got home(5 min away) all the food was cold. Cold as in. They probably made our dishes 30 min before we arrived. Also. The water dispenser on the soda machine hasn’t been working for well over 6 months now. I’m not sure they will ever fix it at this rate.

I have always loved Chipotle’s food. I’m hooked on the steak tacos. This specific Chipotle is on a one way street in Evanston so it’s kinda hard to find quick and easy parking sometimes. The parking situation is actually street with meter parking, so that’s the trick. I like when I can order my food and watch them prepare it right in front of me so they don’t get it messed up, and they have never messed up my order-even in the medium-high noise level. I am always satisfied with my order and the portion size, but that’s just me. The employees are only allowed to give a certain amount of guacamole out for the price, so it IS extra if you want more. Bottom line: great food and quick and very good service. Thanks for reading!

I’ve been to this Chipotle many times and it’s usually a good experience that I can’t complain about. but last night the chicken in my burrito bowl was seriously overcooked and charred. It ruined the whole bowl.

EXTREMELYSTINGYPORTIONSIZES. CONSISTENTLYSLOWSERVICE. Honestly I never know what it’ll be each time I walk in — normal portions/service or teeny, tiny, skimpy portions with extremely rude, impatient service. There doesn’t seem to be a correlation between the time I go in and what I experience, but rather, it depends on the specific employees I encounter. Yesterday, a homeless man was in line in front of me because someone had brought him in and offered to buy him a meal. The minute he walked in, all the women working behind the counter started staring at him like he was the devil and whispering rapidly to each other. While serving him, they rolled their eyes and gave him literally half a scoop of everything. they even later gave ME larger portions… like honestly?! This is probably his first meal in a while. Treat every customer equally & with respect, or else customers that you deem worthy of your establishment will lose respect for you.

If it wasn’t for my love of the Chipotle chain in general, I would definitely never go to this location. I completely understand when restaurants are low out of a specific item. But it’s like if you’re working behind the counter, be apologetic or sympathetic. Some people have waited in line for 20 minutes and the last thing they want to hear is «WEDON’T HAVEGUACAMOLE.» Especially when I, myself, wasn’t even going to ask for guac. A simple«Hey, how are you? Just to let you know we are out of guacamole» could’ve gone a long way. So as far as the food, well of course it’s good. I can’t remember a time when I had bad chipotle. Customer service? Thumbs down.

Slow, slow, slow! I love Chipotle but this location is ridiculously slow. It usually takes 15 — 20 minutes to get your food. Almost every time it have been here they are out of supplies and the staff generally seem a bit confused and unsure what they should be doing. Come on Chipotle train your employees better and pay them better so people can get in and out of this location in a resonate amount of time.
