DA Lounge

I’ve been #blessed enough to be invited on four separate occasions to the DA Lounge. This most recent visit was at least 5 stars over par. The Californian cheese with baguette and honey was the perfect appe“teaser,” followed by the most perfect two whole roast chickens I have ever had in the 60 201. Highly recommend. Pairs well with all wines. Emphasis on the ALL.

I have been wanting to go to DA lounge for a long time now. Well the pain was worth the high. The night I went the chef was serving Chicken n Waffles — DA’s signature dish.
The chicken was crispy and delicious, and the waffles were the perfect complement. The ambience was nice with vinyl records and games to play. The service was very friendly — the chef even came over and played card games with us! The crowd were definitely regulars but very friendly and welcoming.
I would certainly return to DA lounge in the future.

Yuck yuck yuck. I found this place on Craigslist missed connections but could this have been anymore disappointing? I came in expecting great service but was greeted with nothing but odd looks and an ugly man who kept yelling «get out of my apartment». I thought I was here to get some good food but all I got was a pizza with no toppings. I was promised topless but I didn’t know this is what he was talking about. I hate this place. And the décor was so ugly. This «handmade» table and «record player» was clearly the work of an amateur. DA lounge? More like a D F lounge! Booooooooo

Best late night service in Evanston. The chicken and waffles are a DA speciality. Word on the street is that he imports his water from LGA for his famous New York style pizzas. #DAK2015 #DAlounge

Wonderful place for group gatherings. DA himself was there, serving as host and cook. Incredible. Waited about 15 minutes for a table, could have been shorter (thus only 4 stars)
