Had a bad abscessed tooth doctor was able to save tooth after several visits and several
x rays. Only thing I wish filling supposed to be white but for some reSon has spot of silver down in it so when I open looks like dirty spot in my white tooth

Went here for the free veteran dental care. I went in expecting a whole load of problems with my teeth but was told i was in great health, which makes sense since i take care of my teeth. Everyone that was working that day were volunteers and the people I saw were really polite. I noticed the top review for here is a 1 star from 2013 but from what i saw, what was written doesnt seem to apply anymore.

Backstory: I haven’t been to a dentist in 3 or so years, I brush and floss daily with regular care to my teeth.
I took my girlfriend to Aspen to try to see if they could take care of a tooth that was giving her problems, while there I decided its probably time to get a cleaning myself since it has been so long. I scheduled an appointment for the following week for what I thought was going to be a cleaning.
A week later I come in at my appointed time and fill out the paperwork that was needed and they pull me around back to take X-​rays. After the X-​rays they sit me down and say they are going to do a «gingivitis test» the test resulted in poking my gums with a metal prong and if they bleed, then the diagnosis is gingivitis, no questions asked.
They then bring over the X-​rays and point to «dark marks» and tell me those are cavities. 8 to be exact. They then bring me to an office area and give me a price quote on what I would be looking at paying for 8 cavities and «gingivitis cleaning» and AFTER insurance it’s still $ 1200. They urge me to get this taken care if immediately and ask if I would like to set up an appointment. I told them I was going to look elsewhere before making a decision.
A week or so later I make an appointment with Dr. Janowski for a cleaning and shows me that I have 1 cavity and says nothing about gingivitis. After my teeth are cleaned I made an appointment to take care of the single issue and such has been resolved.
It seems to me that they are just milking people as much as they possibly can.
