Lic’s was listed on my friend’s wedding website for food attractions in Evansville so we decided to try it out! The interior was super cute/colorful. We were the only customers on Saturday morning for an early lunch. We ordered sandwiches at the counter and then seated ourselves. I tried the chicken salad with mandarin orange in a honey wheat wrap, and my hubby tried the Reuben sandwich. We both ordered the«whole» size, although some of our other friends ordered the«half» size since they weren’t as hungry. Portion size of my wrap was reasonable and filled me up just right, the ingredients were all very fresh, and each sandwich is accompanied by Lay’s chips. The mandarin oranges added a nice pop of sweetness. The Reuben was slightly heavy on the mustard, but otherwise fit the classic mold of the Reuben(meaty, cheesy and yummy). After we devoured our sandwiches we went for round 2: dessert. The turtle ice cream pie totally caught my eye in the glass display and I ordered a slice. The others ordered coconut ice cream and oreo ice cream. I tasted a small spoonful of the coconut ice cream — creamy and light! My turtle ice cream pie tasted just as heavenly as it looked… caramel, creamy vanilla ice cream, crunchy candied pecans, and graham cracker crust. Definitely the best part of our lunch!
