Almost as good as home I lived in the Chicago area for 40 years. I live in Owensboro now pizza here is terrible its definitely worth the drive to Evansville.

I would’ve given this place a 5-Star review if it wasn’t for the initial service my family received. We were greeted, placed in a seat, and then handed our menus. One would assume a waiter/waitress would come and request our drink orders, however this was not the case. We were not served for over 10 minutes, that was until my Dad approached the hostess about the issue. Eventually, we were served and a manager even stopped by our table to apologize and give us a free dessert. As far as the food goes, I was not disappointed. My Dad, brother, and I ate off of the buffet/pizza bar. This comes with a salad/soup as well. On the buffet they had Hawaiian Pizza, Pepperoni, Sausage, among others. They also had breadsticks, pepperoni bites, and(my favorite) slices of calzone. At the end of our meal we were given chocolate chip cookies that came with the buffet meal. Then we ordered our free slice of Strawberry & Blueberry Cheesecake, which may have been one of the best pieces of cheesecake o have ever tasted. Needless to say, the food was delicious. It was far from overpriced and I would definitely recommend this to others.

This visit will be my last. There was multiple things that happened but ultimately the place isn’t what it use to be. The waitress was horrible I’m going to chalk it up to she was having a bad day but dang… she was short with us not friendly, hated her job and was just mad she had to be there. The food was not good. We got pepperoni rolls and they basically were just bread very little cheese and I few didn’t even have pepperoni in them. The sauce was watery. The calzone where not completely cooked there was cold cheese in both of them. So the last few visit haven’t been very good like they use to be so I will not be returning

I’m pretty sure our server was drunk tonight, but it’s usually an alright place for dinner.

Enjoyed the Pepperoni Stromboli. Others in my party got the deep dish pizza and it looked hearty. Atmosphere seemed nice for either a family meal or watching sports. Portion size and service was good.

Great for a late night drink and meal. Can’t beat their happy hour pub pizza for 2.50. Ok draft selection, doesn’t change much but not terrible. Tanya is the best.

Just passing thru, but better than average OC. Same old calzone, but amazing queso jalapeños pretzel bites and $ 1.7510oz drafts. Regional brews Founders and Three Floyds had the best hoppy drafts on rotation. Hostess was accommodating and my waiter was spot on the whole time. He accurately gauged the speed of service desired, which was slow because I had lots of time to burn, yet still never kept me waiting. Well done sir. Good service, food, and beer at a chain restaurant value, exactly the experience I was looking for.

Ok place. Visited at trivia night. I think emcee was President of his fan club. Non stop talk about nonsense. Food was good. Service on the slower side but friendly. Appetizer got lost somewhere in kitchen and waiter apologized and comped it. Easy, friendly, safe place to visit while traveling.

After trying Old Chicago, it’s unlikely my roommate will eat anywhere else for pizza-related food. The pizza was great. Pepperoni rolls were, too. Nachos I thought were a bit bland, but roommate seemed to like them. The pizza chosen was piled with toppings: Basil, parmesan, spinach, black olives, Italian sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni and andouille sausage. It was a half-and-half, because a few of these ingredients I’d usually not eat. I tried some of roomie’s half and it was just as — if not more — delicious as my half. Old Chicago knows how to blend ingredients so nothing stands out«too much,» it seems. There’s a huge chance we’ll return soon. Next time, I probably won’t order half & half.

My favorite place in town. To me, it is the most consistent, and I never have to worry about quality when going here. Service has always been great, and the food is reliably good every single time. What to get you ask? Pepperoni Rolls or Italian Nachos? I can never make up my mind, but I promise both are the bee’s knees. The beer selection is good, and I always recommend trying one of the random flights that they are offering at the time, because every time I get one, it surprises me in the best way. I always get beers I would never purchase myself, 7⁄10 times they are delicious, and the other 3⁄10 times isn’t the beer’s fault. It broadens your horizons without making a full pint commitment, so I love it. Really good drink specials, and late hours are the way to my heart, and if Old Chicago had a face, I’d kiss it for both.

11÷21÷14 We went out for dinner in hopes of finding a good meal, once again, at Old Chicago. However, we deviated from the normal calzone and got a chicken panini and fish and chips. The latter was okay but the chicken panini was like eating a bland piece of bread with a gallon of butter. I have not had something so repulsive to eat in a long while. The service was OK but the servers were over booked and could not attend to their tables in a timely manner. The table behind us didn’t get one of their meals either. Oops! I think they need new kitchen staff!

This is not Chicago style pizza. I would really like to go to a pizza place that actually had Chicago styled pizza without actually going to Chicago. The cheesy bread was expensive for the amount of bread you get. Not worth it. Service was good and the beer choices were nice. Pizza was ehh.

I grew up in this darn town and I still have a hard time finding places to eat at. Austin has spoiled me with all of its good local eateries. Anywho, I decided on Old Chicago because of its core proximity to Target and Best Buy as well as the alcohol. It was pretty empty during lunch time the day before Thanksgiving and I was glad about it. I was not in a mood to deal with the crowds and crazies. Minus 1 star because I expected the service to be a bit better. I sat for what seemed like too long waiting to place an appetizer order. Minus another star because an advertised beer was not available just quite yet. I was really excited about it and she hyped it up. Also she wasn’t sure they had the alternative. As for the food I was pretty happy! I finally ordered an appetizer and settled on the jalapeño cheese pretzels. I didn’t realize they would have cheese inside. They were so good and it was not spicy. It came with a side of what looks like melted Velveeta cheese which was fine but not necessary. My entrée was the individual sized Chicago specialty pizza with the thick crust. It was good. Too many toppings. But I should have read the description more closely. The best part was the Margaritas on special on Wednesday for $ 2.50! Surprisingly they were good. So good that I had 2. The prices are in line with other places I eat at so I’d eat here again because of price, quality of food, and the not so terrible service. Also the location isn’t top bad.

Going to Old Chicago is like having a trusty olé friend you can always count on. The food is always good and you know you can get a good beer or 4 while you’re there. I ate at the bar for the first time and had a bit of a problem getting noticed when I needed something, but it didn’t take away from the homey feel and the consistent food and drink. SO glad to know my friend will be here when I need her!

I came to Old Chicago to get a Chicago style pizza. You know, it is deep dish with thin cracker crust on the bottom and sides. Plus, many layers of cheese and toppings with the sauce on top of everything else, not buried underneath. Well, a Chicago style pizza is not on the regular menu here. This really pissed me off… The pizzas offered here are thin crust cut unto pie slices and stuffed crust. Neither of which are Chicago style pizza. To actually receive a Chicago deep dish you must fork out $ 19.99 for what they refer to as the«Ultimate» pizza. Which is neither ultimate, and just decent. There was not enough cheese and the entire pizza was deflated. The crust was dry and not overall appetizing. Old Chicago is not a Chicago pizza place.
