I’ve never heard of Schnucks before, but it had good ratings on Unilocal,so I decided to check it out. I was impressed with the amount of organic produce that they stock, and the prices were more than reasonable. There was no salad bar, but there was a small olive bar, behind the deli. The deli had a small selection of salads and prepared foods, and the seafood section had a small selection of fish, most of which was farm raised. They have the ability to steam or bake any seafood with any of the sauces/​seasonings that they sell in the seafood section free of charge. I decided to try a $ 4 trout fillet, baked, with the mango sauce, and it came out delicious. The rest of the store seemed to have a fairly standard grocery store selection at fairly standard prices. The store was clean with helpful employees, and I will come back to it if I’m in the area again.

This is my go to weekly grocery stop. They usually have good sales on most items. I do love their produce, it is fresh, and doesn’t good bad like other stores. Most of the staff is nice, I have had a rude encounter with a lady in the meat department. However, I do not buy my meat here, I get it from the Butcher Shop!

This place is great! They have a decent selection of produce and a fabulous array of vegetarian and vegan fixins. I was nervous coming here as a vegan/​vegetarian and thought I might not be able to eat in this town. Fear not! Schnucks will make my food life in Evansville bearable.
