Just leaving Toast for the first time… I had 2 Paradise Mimosas(I ordered the one with Peach Schnapps which is basically a Bellini.) For my entrée I ordered the Nut Club sandwich. It gives a nice tastey twist to a fried bologna sandwich keeping that southern comfort taste. For my side I ordered creamed corn(served extra buttery.) I was very pleased with my food, drinks, and service. The only thing I would hope to change with this experience was that the music stopped after the first song played while I was eating which created an awkward ambiance. Very nice waitress and bartender. I will visit again!

awesome place to eat in Evansville with a friendly staff and great atmosphere! The food is good, patio outside overlooking the golf course is very relaxing! Great place to gather with friends! Especially for brunch and their mimosas and bloody Mary’s!

Not sure why Toast hasn’t received better reviews. We went for breakfast and loved it! Great menu. Friendly staff. Perfect view of the golf course. Love that they offer mimosas & bloody Mary’s. The only reason I left four stars instead of five is that they were out of bananas on the day we went we will be back!

Servers are very nice, but the food isn’t that good. They mixed my french toast with my breakfast meal(omelette and red skin potatoes) in one plate and that doesn’t work!

Well this will be my first 1 star and it comes after much thought. I think the best way to put this is a list of sorts. We were there Sunday, December 6th: the guitar player was seated too closely to the customers, our waitress had a short t-shirt on that exposed her side tattoos with every move she made, the brisket was so dry you would think it was jerky — very salty too and we were charged for food we did not get. It’s not a bad concept and they have s nice place to have business but their servings are small and over priced for the area and the management is laking.

After reading decent reviews and following Toast on Facebook, I finally talked my husband into trying it. He is such a picky eater, trying new restaurants can become difficult. Saturday morning, around 10 am, my husband, his mother, and I went to Toast. The parking lot was jammed packed, later to see its due to a golf tournament. We walk into a room with many empty seats, lots of dirty tables, and a few guests at tables. Several customers were in the bar, in line, which I thought was strange. We decide to sit ourselves since we did not see one employee. The view is excellent. Rolling hills and trees and all the green. Definitely something different here in Evansville. After a 10 minute, a gentleman welcomes us and immediately apologizes for our wait and informs us he is the only one working!!! We said it was okay and ordered our drinks. Then we see he is a waiter, a bartender, a busser, and all with about 4 tables and people constantly coming to the bar from the golf course. So after waiting for him to come back we finally order, wait longer, and our food arrives. I ordered the pierogi dish with eggs over well, bacon, and the home fries. My husband and mother in law both got the shut up and get my breakfast which is eggs, meat, home fries, biscuit with gravy and coffee. Our eggs were all cooked perfectly. We did not care for the home fries. They were basically chopped up fries. The biscuits and gravy were horrible. We are not sure if it was a spice or spoiled or just over cooked but it did not taste good at all! The bacon and sausage were cooked good as well. I had never had pierogis before, but these could use some seasoning. They were very bland. After paying $ 45 and spending and hour and fifteen minutes there, we had our fill and will not return. Hope it’s better for others!!!

You can’t beat the view while enjoying your brunch and a cocktail. The owners are polish and it reflects on the menu. I am also polish so it was nice to see pierogi on the menu and polish sausage. The brunch buffet when they have it is excellent and has a bunch of different things. The menu hasn’t changed since it opened so I’d like to see it updated. Also trying to impress me with polish sausage from Chicago when I’m from Chicago and polish was a fail. We consider it a polish hot dog and the kind in Chicago has a lot more flavor. I would also like to see a large rock for my whiskey and better trained staff. Just being honest.

Some of the worst service we’ve ever had, and we’ve been eating out forever. The server did not write anything down for an order for a table of six. When I questioned if she would be able to remember it all, she was confident that she could. We had at least four errors in our order. We were there for Sunday brunch and they had run out of eggs and had to run out for more. We asked for bacon to tide us over and never got it. The orders came out with one half of the table first and a five to ten minute lapse before the second half came. Our first and last time at Toast.

My wife and I came to Toast for our wedding anniversary. We arrived shortly after 6pm, and were seated right away. Within minutes our food order was taken, I had a Guinness in front of me, and my wife had a maple bacon martini(which she said was delicious!) We enjoyed the view of Helfrich Hills Golf Course, and our food came out quickly. The portions were excellent, presentation was good, and flavor was certainly not a problem. I had the Lemon Basil Chicken Salad, and my wife had the West Side Nut Club Steak Sandwich. We both enjoyed our entrees very much. For dessert I had a Blondie A’lamode, and she had a tomato cake. I know tomato cake sounds strange, but it was essentially a very moist chocolate cake with delicious cream cheese frosting. All in all I would highly recommend toast, whether you’re considering a place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. And the price…2 alcoholic beverages, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts for under $ 50(before tip). That’s tough to beat. Jon

My wife and I arrived there about 9:30 on a recent Saturday evening. It was not crowded(one customer was at the bar and about a dozen other patrons) and there was karaōke for the entertainment. We were really interested in sampling some of the craft beers on tap. However, we left after just a few minutes — not impressed. Ok, it’s new so here are a few suggestions to help. 1. Turn the lights down. This is supposed to be a cocktail bar in the evenings, not Golden Corral. 2. Remove service items from the bar(ie stacks of napkins and piles of silverware). 3. Relocate the karaōke set up away from the front door so that the speakers don’t blast you when you walk in. We’ll visit again to see if their operation has improved. But honestly, it looked more like a lunch counter than a cocktail bar.
