Decarla’s Beauty Supply

I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here since I was 18 years old, so about 7 years now. Dacarla has always helped me pick out the hair that I need and does amazing hair cuts for extensions! I have gone other places to get my hair extensions cut but no hair cut has been like how she does it. I wasn’t aware that there is a specific way that hair extensions need to be cut until she told me. It makes complete sense at why my hair would always come out looking funny when I would have someone else do it.
The price of hair is really good also. It’s the best place in the area to purchase hair from a staff that actually knows what they are talking about. Dacarla gives excellent advice at how to care for extensions and what temperature of heat to use so you don’t ruin the hair so quickly. I highly recommend this place for people who need a little education on hair, hair products and hair service!

I was a loyal customer at this salon for years– as far as I knew this was the only shop locally that sold African American hair extensions and a variety of wigs– I recently was looking into getting a sew in or purchasing a front lace as I’m currently sporting an afro and wanted to have a different style for graduation.
My problem with this salon is
1.) The extremely high prices
2.) The disregard for customer service
On this particular visit Decarla was very pushy trying to get me to invest nearly 1000 dollars on a sew in weave with what she claimed was the best hair available (it wasn’t) I told her that I was more interested in a human hair front lace (I wanted temporary remember) and she told me she had two wigs coming early the next week– one at $ 299.00 and the other at $ 399.00 she then went on to tell me that the curl pattern closest to mine would be the $ 299 dollar wig– her and I agreed to meet the next week for the purchase.
So as I’m still looking around she keeps trying to sell me on the weave and being really aggressive with it– I was bothered but left her salon still planning to buy the wig when it came in.
So fast forward a few days… Decarla calls to tell me my wig is in– and to apparently show me what amnesia looks like– because suddenly Decarla was unable to recall the agreed upon price and was actively trying to hike it up 100 bucks.
Despite the price increase, I was still considering purchasing the wig but when I asked her to calculate the out the door price she got rude with me and said she was busy doing someone’s hair– blahblahblah
This was it– you want to hike the price then refuse to do basic math??? So I calculated it real quick in my head and realized it equaled hell to the no and decided I’d take my business elsewhere.
I suggest doing your research before going to this salon. There are other shops that offer the same quality if not a better quality for a far better price and a staff that will treat you with respect and not see you as a giant money sign.

Decarla’s hair salon is the WORST SALON IVE EVER BEEN TOO!!! I WANTED THE one full color of red hair and the stylist fried my hair so bad, that it turn brown pink orange and charge me 316 bucks for it… She took SIX HOURS ON MY HAIR!!! I had a box application on from a month half ago the stylist knows more about hair then I do I just wanted to look good, so she showed me a list of prices I said ur work better be great as high these prices are… So she starts doing my hair bleach my hair twice chemically color my hair twice. Didn’t explain ANYTHING TO ME !!! Once she finally got done she try for ever to straighten it so I couldn’t tell how fried my hair was. I didn’t really look at it I thought I could work it so I paid her and book her again I was in a rush to get my daughter since I spent six hours at the salon. I’ve never in my life sat so Long in a hair salon before … To me she knew she mess up and she tried her hardest to cover it up instead she fried my so badly that’s it completely damage! So I call her ASAP and told her wtf I’m not happy I want my refund back … Never ever ever ever will I ever allow her to do my hair again or ever go to this salon again! She rushed she didn’t explain anything could happen to my hair she just did it and charge me way too much the pic I have on here is how my hair look from the stylist that did it! Very horrible I deeply regret being so nice and paying her! Very poor customer services very poor communication very un professional business !!!
