We have an old wooden frame house in downtown Everett. The back porch was beginning to be too dangerously rickety and the sliding glass door leading to that porch was getting too hard to move and it all looked terrible. We hired Pat Dycus, Excelco, to make a porch, with some accessibility features and to install a new sliding glass door. He found that the back wall of the house needed some work before the other things could be done so he spent about ten hours fixing that area and then, come rain shine or cold wind, over the weeks before and after Christmas 2014 he came out and just kept methodically working away. I like to just go out there and look at the cuts and how square and well built the thing is. He did a wonderful job. Also is nice to have a working door. One of the nice things about Pat is that he worked just as hard and carefully as if he were working on someone’s big fancy house instead just this little old one. So if you have a big fancy house and need a really good carpenter, I sure do recommend him, or even if you just have a little old place. His cost estimate was accurate and seemed very fair to me.
