I love Scuttlebutt, they have the best IPA’s, Clam Chowder and Fish&Chips around. I also love their apparel selections and cute baristas(beeristas).

Don’t go there for the fish and chips. Sent mine back twice. Dry. Overcooked. Location but gets busy and the the service sucks.

Fantastic evening! The fish and chips is one of a kind. If you’re up for a refreshing beverage… you MUST have the Tripel 7… okay, you must have multiple refreshing beverages!

We were going to have lunch here. It’s a beautiful day, they’ve got great food. Open table outside. Perfect. Wait time was 30 minutes for either inside or outside. Excuse was not enough staff. We took our business elsewhere. Too bad.

Their fish and chips are disappointing. I get the impression that the fish is straight out of a box like fish sticks. Over priced. Their fries are good though. Their beer is okay too. Nice location.

Would love to say thank you to the staff of scuttlebutt on Father’s day… Nicole our server was so helpful. attentive…and amazing… the cooks even as busy as they were made a special Chicago style steak for me… So good… Tyler the manager kept the vibe upbeat made us feel at home on our first visit there… will spread the word about the good people at scuttlebutt… will be returning soon!!!

We have been here several times now and don’t have many complaints! Staff is always friendly, food is quick to come out and most of the time the beer we want is available. My personal favorite is the pulled pork sandwhich, it’s been great the last four times I’ve had it.

We took my brother here for his birthday. We had a party of 9. The waiter(Cameron M.) was FANTASTIC in every way. He was pleasant, friendly and attentive. Our lunch was super delicious and I think we all had something different. I had the turkey wrap with cranberry. It was super delicious!!! I also had a cup of their chili and it had great flavor. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

Our party of three stopped in for lunch after a 3-hour tour aboard a whale watching boat. I enjoyed a pint of Tripel 7 Belgian and the Scuttle Reuben. Others in our party were pleased with their beverages and meals. Service was prompt and friendly. It made us glad we didn’t end up stranded on a desert island.

I honestly have to say we were a little disappointed in this place. However, the atmosphere and the décor definitely fits the style of restaurant. Their menu was not bad nor were their prices. Their service was okay it needs a little bit of improvement. Unfortunately, where they only got three stars was in my opinion the long wait time to get our food, and when we finally got our food it was very tasteless no seasoning, or spice. The food look great however the taste was off. I would consider giving this place another try in the future hopefully if I order something different it will taste different. I really cannot give a recommendation because I like to give this place another chance.

Mixed feelings about Scuttlebutt Brewing Company. As far as their food and craft beers, they are excellent! Hoptopia is the best IPA around! All their beers are excellent! Love the fish n chips! But, I miss Scuttlebutt’s old location. It was small, nautical and had a homey feel. I understand that due to popularity, they needed to expand and find larger accommodations. But, the seating in the new place feels like a Denny’s. The bar, while beautiful and functional, is too small, bright and exposed to the dining section. The owners and staff are mostly fun, pleasant and helpful, but the place now feels cold. Lastly, although Scuttlebutt’s doesn’t advertise itself as a sports bar, the guys behind the bar who control the TVs consider it so. They are basketball/football/baseball obsessed. Which is fine, if you like watching these endlessly. But, some of us get tired of it. Guess they don’t know about other sports like soccer, extreme sports, golf, motocross, rally car racing, air racing, boat racing, NASCAR etc. And don’t even suggest they change the channel. I was told by the bartender, «why don’t you go someplace else!» If not for this, I would have given the place 5 stars.

Every time we come here I think it’ll be amazing as if something has miraculously changed in 6 months. While I like to see myself as generous and forgiving as I’ve been a restaurant worker, our most recent visit on Mother’s Day 2016 was as horrible as the last two times we’d been here. Server had no idea what the beers were, what was on the menu or really how to be a server. And she was young and I’m sure nervous? First time? Apathetic? I don’t know. But a note to the management in general– train your people it goes a long way! Also try putting on the menu what IS in stock instead of what can be is a suggestion you should consider. If I have to ask 3 times and get shot down for every beer then I’m already frustrated. Just tell me what you have so I don’t have to ask an already un knowledgeable employee 3 separate times since she had little to interest in being proactive in telling us what was actually available given our previous requests. Food is sub par. Turkey wrap with cranberry cream cheese had barely any. Clam chowder was definitely tasty. I want to love this place I just wish they would improve ten fold and then I’d be more of a regular vs a sure it’s here let’s just stay and eat so we don’t have to go drive someplace else, especially on farmers market sunny days.

Bucket of clams appetizer was actually a bowl with a tomato garlic sauce and was very good. Clam chowder was very tasty. Fish and chips and prawns and chips both hit the spot.

Some of the worst restaurant service we’ve ever experienced. Tried to eat here tonight out on the patio since it was an 80-degree day, but the hostess said they were not seating anyone else on the patio tonight, even though there was an open table available! What? Uhh, why not? Can’t believe it! Their sign on the patio railing even says«Patio Seating Available», but even after asking about it a second time, the hostess said they would not let us sit outside. No reason was ever given. It makes no sense! So we left and went somewhere else. We’ve been to Scuttlebutt a few times before, and I have to say the majority of their the food is below average, except for the fish and chips, which is really good and what we had come for. Too bad we were turned away. They kinda ruined our night. Probably won’t be back.

I sampled a few of the beers, and those were pretty good. I gave it at least one extra star because I really like beer. The food was really disappointing though. I ordered the fish tacos, and the tortillas weren’t even heated up. Let me tell you, «raw» corn tortillas make terrible tacos.

The best fish and chips here! The fish are fried to perfection; there are no pockets of grease in the breading and the breading is fully cooked and crisp. Good service every time we go. Location is great right on the marina.

I bought me first cedar plank at the Pike place market and took it back to my home in Baltimore. I have become quite good a planking a piece of salmon but thought that I could learn a thing or two at the Scuttlebutt establishment. My planked salmon, however, was about two minutes on the grill shy of fish Jerky. I called over the server and politely asked, «if I ordered a new one will it be any better or is this par for the course?» Her answer was as follows: «If you would have asked I would have told you that the planked salmon was a little dry – try the dill salmon, it tends to be more moist.» So that is what I did. If the plank salmon was a 9 on the dryness scale(with 10 being high desert sand) the dill salmon was an 8. Improvement, yes – but come on. If you can’t plank a piece of salmon while looking out the window at the lapping shores of the Puget Sound where the hell can you? Answer: My back deck in Baltimore, MD The beer was fine and the clams were very good, but the errors on the fish were more then I can tolerate.

Good food, a little on the greasy side, but would go back again. Fries are super good with vinegar. Wasn’t too happy that we were seated by a large family with loud children when there were plenty of seats available on the other side.

So I come here often but damn the last time was just bad. Food was great per usual had the prime rib and Cajun shrimp pasta great as always. But where is the beer I can’t get one here I wait and wait. No beer. Then finally they show up with my beer after I ask again and another for my wife she didn’t want one fine whatever. Then we get the bill hers are a dollar 50 more than mine and she only wanted one and never asked for another. I just wanted my 3 beers per usual but damn I had to fight to get them. I wait and wait glass at the end of the table. Food gone I just am thirsty. All and all food is good but service sucks and I hate it I am sick of spending a lot of money and can’t get a damn beer.

I love the new location! It has a really awesome ambience and the service was great! I shared chicken Alfredo with my sister since the portion was huge! And we had the bottle cap jalapeño; calamari; and chili cheese fries for appetizers. The bottle cap jalapeño was okay. I didn’t have any calamari but it looked yummy. The chili cheese fries was good tho’ there was a hint of sweetness in there. The chicken Alfredo was creamy but needed a little more mozzarella cheese I think but otherwise it was good.

The brewery here is ok. The beer is absolutely crappy. It is so evident it is made with that horrible smelly water from Everett. I mean, I crack one bottle open and it smells like I’m standing on the fricken trestle with the slough below me. the only part that is correct about it is the Butt part! Lousy! Definitely would rather drink some Keystone crap!

This brewery is a great place to go for a restaurant atmosphere, on the other hand the experience of a brewery alludes this spot. I haven’t cared for any of the SB beers other than their porter, the brewing scene in Washington produces a by-and-large better product than what they have to offer.

Several coworkers and I hit Scuttlebutt for happy hour recently. Tucked into the marina building, it’s near the water and you’ll probably be rubbing elbows with some salty sailors having a pint. After a couple of those pints, it might get kind of interesting, but that’s ok, because you’ll be enjoying Scuttlebutt’s craft beers and some great appys. Nachos were pretty good(house salsa is OFFTHEHOOK), and the FKC fries really shouldn’t be missed. We had plenty of tasty food to soak up a few pints and declare Scuttlebutt to be a five star event!

I LOVELOVETHISPLACE, despite them not having any stouts on tap when I went, which was a bummer. They had some good beers and I had a porter. But the FOOD is what sells me! I love breweries I can do dinner at too. And this wasn’t typical bar food like I was expecting. It was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed every part of it! Definitely somewhere I will be coming back and bringing my friends and family. Got a T shirt and a root beer float! Totally worth the trip! The location is great with the water near as well. Just amazing smells of the ocean and fresh air!

I would rate this 3.5 stars, but I bumped it to 4 because the service was very good & the weather was nice for sitting outside. :-) Nice patio, but even though it’s close to the water, there is really no view. You are basically in a marina parking lot. Coconut Prawns are delicious! I could make a meal of these. All 3 of us enjoyed them. The Chopped Chicken Salad is interesting. I liked the bbq sauce. My salad was tasty & I appreciate the half portion. It is heavily dressed, but I didn’t mind that because it was tasty. Usually I would ask for have dressing. The clam chowder was just okay. Reuben was good & interesting with sourdough instead of rye, but I’ve definitely had better reubens. The burger was also just okay. I’m just visiting the area, but if I came back I would probably get the Hawaiian burger. The bbq sauce & bun are both good, so I think it would make for a good burger. Ordered 6oz tasters(less than $ 2!) of the IPA& the Hop(–station?) hoptastic? Whatever its name was I enjoyed it. And you can take home a mermaid pint glass for $ 3. Recommended. Not the BEST brewery or pub food ever, but still worth a visit. And our server was helpful, honest about what she liked & disliked on the menu, friendly & attentive. Great service goes a long way.
