I’ll admit I’ve heard some mixed reviews about this place so I was hesitant on going, but in the end I’m glad I did. We arrived and were seated immediately. Our server, Kate, was very friendly and on top of things, she engaged us in conversation and asked about a special event. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and the portion was generously sized. We also ordered 2 bottled beers which arrived with frosted glasses. For entrees we selected sliders and boneless wings with hot sauce, ranch and celery which were quite juicy and had a fresh taste. Better than bdubs by the way and obviously better prices. TVs are also plentiful and allows for any seating location to have a good view of the game. Overall I would return, the prices were good for the quality of food and the environment seemed local and friendly. I appreciate the kind service it makes me want to see what else this place offers.

Went here for dinner. For a bar it is pretty bright. The appetizers were great. The dinner was sub par. Had the special of a foot long grilled cheese with soup. The grilled cheese was nothing special just«ok» and the soup was disgusting. My husband had the French dip and he said the beef was decent but the aujus had a funny flavor to it. I would recommend this place only for drinks and appetizers. Don’t go here for dinner or lunch.

They really know the restaurant biz. We never wait for a table, yet the place is pretty much always packed. Service depends on the wait person you get. Everything on the menu seems very fresh. I especially like Monday 6.00 burger nights, the shrimp appetizer and the steak nachos are fabulous. Owner/operate also owns Pappy’s in Evergreen Park. If you are looking for a sports bar/restaurant with, on average, excellent food and good service. They run a lot of beer/drink specials. So, watch for their beer specials. Great place for watching your fav sports. There are large flat screens all over the place. You won’t miss a play.

Used to be a regular customer here. The food was only mediocre and isn’t anything to rave about. The staff can be very polite or very rude. We were always treated well until we started coming every Friday. Then the quality of service fell and it was not as attentive. If your only coming here for a once in awhile meal I guess you would be fine. But I haven’t been back since we were treated rudely. If you want better food there is a lot of newer places in the surrounding area.

Pretty decent place, good food, good drink, decent prices, good people, pretty big in here. Alot of tvs. This is my first time in here and I would recommend this place to everyone. I would be back in no time, I just wonder why I wasn’t here sooner.

Great experience! –Loved our server-experienced and delightful. We literally had our drinks within 5 minutes. — Long Island Ice tea.(dangerously delish) — Vast menu options … Fish tacos, Buffalo Shrimp, and Bruschetta Appetizers– flavorful, fresh, good portions, reasonable prices. –Patio chairs were comfortable, outdoor area was clean. –Large outdoor TV *Highly recommended*

This place is a «bar» that happens to serve«bar» food. Nothing special, no real dish stands out. If you want to get together with some friends and stop down-then this is an okay place. Plenty of TV’s and are Blackhawks friendly-but if a game is on be prepared to wait for your drink. It also has a patio area w/TV where you can step out for a smoke. The beers are okay cold, & they do not really cater to the«craft beer drinker.» Parking can also be limited-in the end it’s an okay place to hang.

I really really like this place. One of my favorite bars in the area. Came here for the first time during a Hawks game last year in the playoffs. We joined my friend’s family during a birthday dinner, and despite already have a table of 10, they were able to very easily accommodate us. Ordered some wings, quesadillas, and a burger. All came out delicious. We then ordered beers, some wine, and a dark and stormy. The bartender made the drink very well. I’ve been back here on a few occassions during the week for dinner. They always have great dinner specials, and the bar is always very clean. The waitstaff are very friendly and our food and drinks are always out very quickly. They host trivia during the week, and they also have brunch on Sundays. It’s nice because it’s a sports bar, but also a normal restaurant, pretty evenly split down the middle. This place is the perfect combination of sports bar/family establishment. I even bought a tavern in the green glass from there to take home, because they’re so cute.

Have a pretty decent beer selection, nothing to fancy. The food is also pretty good with a nice and friendly staff. Lots of tvs if your looking for a place to go watch a sporting event.

Boyfriend lives in the area so we come here often and they never disappoint us. We absolutely LOVE getting the tavern steak nachos with some guacamole on the side. It’s a big plate so definitely meant to be shared(unless you can finish it then go for it!). I’ve had their buffalo shrimp wrap, bacon burger, wings, fish tacos, chicken sandwhich and they’ve all tasted great. Staff is very friendly. Beer selection is not bad. Overall I’ve had a good experience each time. Will definitely keep coming back.

My review is based on the food only, it’s really like a 3.5÷5! I came in with my family and was surprised to find such a clean, welcoming setting. It’s a sports bar, but is pretty evenly 50% bar, 50% grill, so the name might be a little misleading as this«tavern» is a bit more friendly than most people’s idea of a tavern, though it still does have about 50 blaring TV’s with every imaginable sports game on. Almost our whole table got burgers of some kind, all of which were cooked properly and pretty tasty. They also have a really interesting seasonal menu which featured things like a brisket sandwich and a chicken pot pie, the former my mother got and thought was very good! We liked the sweet potato fries better than the regular fries, and thought the regular ones were a bit salty. The food was good, but it was in my opinion, overly pricey. My bacon burger was $ 9.50. It was pretty good, and fairly large(½ lb), but didn’t have that«wow» factor that a $ 10 burger really should. I did notice that they claim to use«certified black angus» beef, but didn’t think it was anything exceptional, in terms of meat quality. It did come with a small cup of coleslaw, which I didn’t really care for. Almost everything on the menu seemed pricey for what it was, some of the dinners were over $ 20! I would say that the food here is probably a step above your normal bar food, but it does come at a cost, and that cost might be worth it to someone who cares about their bar food a lot. Beer selections looked a little pricey as well. Server and managers/owners are really nice and handled our large party well. I’d like to come back and review the bar and maybe some other food item besides the burgers.

I came here on a Thursday afternoon and had the fish tacos. It was maybe 8 people in the entire restaurant. The tacos were yummy and I believe they have $ 3 Coronas on Thursday, not to bad.

This place is very close to home so that’s a huge draw but I’m not too impressed with the beer menu. I wish they had more craft beer selections but the food is good. I’m a fan of the ribeye steak sandwich and the nachos. It’s a good place to go with a group of friends but I do wish it were more of a sports bar instead of sports bar on one half and family restaurant on the other.

Met up with some coworkers for lunch on a Wednesday. It was beautiful out, and we sat out in the patio. We had a group of seven, and there was no trouble accommodating us since the place was fairly empty(perhaps that will change once more people check it out). Everything seemed very new and clean. This place had been recommended to us as having great burgers, but I ended up getting the turkey pesto asiago sandwich(which also has avocado and bacon on it) and it was fantastic. Most of the menu items seem to be standard sports bar items. A few of the people I was with got vegetables instead of fries with their sandwiches, and really seemed to enjoy them. After we finished lunch and paid for our meal, a few of us stuck around for drinks. We sat outside the whole time and our server was extremely friendly — we never felt rushed to order or pressured to leave. They’ve got some tasty martins on their cocktail menu, and we tried the $ 3 beer of the month(a pint that was half Blue Moon and half Crispin cider — surprisingly tasty). They were advertising $ 15 lienenkugels buckets, and seem to have really wallet friendly daily drink specials. I will definitely be back here again!

Went there for dinner with a friend. Not a great choice. At least not enough to make me come back. From the outside the place raises ur expectations. Inside is just tables and a lot of TVs. The food was very mediocre. Ordered the fetuccini with chicken and the quesadillas. Just ok. The one thing it was was expensive. These two dishes, an appetizer, mozzarella sticks and two cokes 42 dollars. Too many better places in the area to make me come back. The place was full. Dunno why. Guess is the liquor. For a beer with friends and watching the game the place is ok. Nothing more. Service was good though

It’s a bar with a restaraunt. With that said food was good, service was great. It was our first time there and will be back. I had steak wrap and sweet potato fries. It was really good. Big serving took half home. Hubby got ribs with vegetable I’m not a rib fan and I was regretting not ordering. The veggies were a mixed stir fry and really delicious. Side salad was huge and again fresh. I rarely put salt on my food, but had to hear(gotta have one complaint). It was too loud for a dinner sit and talk. Food was super hot, service was quick, and efficient. Owner and a manager approached table to make sits everything was ok. It was clean. Also hires lotsa locals. We will be back.
