Just took my youngest daughter there because she was having trouble breathing. Turns out she had croup. Doctors Monica and Hutcherson and all the staff there did a phenomenal job taking care of my three year old. They quickly diagnosed what was wrong with her and got her the treatment she needed. I’m really happy I decided to take my sick kiddo to Arapahoe Peak. Next time my family needs to see a doctor I know where we’ll be going. Thank you all!

I was a walk in twice this past week. I was treated with respect, quickly, and efficiently. The staff is friendly and approachable. When they say they will call you back, they do so promptly. I appreciate the no-nonsense approach to treatment and the doctors made me feel very comfortable to ask questions and discuss personal matters.

Had a situation with Dr Julie refusing to provide a referral to a neurologist in Pueblo where my wife is working remotely for the next year. Our medical plan allows us to go directly to specialists but the hospital performing an EMG test needed a referral. Bottom line, Dr Julie wanted to milk the insurance for an office call that would cost my wife $ 500 for the lost days work to make the trip to evergreen in addition to the appt cost. These folks don’t care about the patient, they care about the money. Enough said.

I’m pretty surprised about the negatives reviews here. I’ve seen both Randy and Julie at this practice. I saw Randy for a UTI before I established myself as a patient there. I was seen promptly and taken care of. I then saw Julie when I came down with a fever/flu(again before I had established myself as a patient) I then saw Julie for my new patient appointment. Maybe it’s because I do have a lot medical issues(I carry a file organizer with me of my medical records to exams). I felt it was incredibly thorough it probably took about 2 hours and included a pap. The office itself is a little janky and old; but I’ve had nothing but positive experiences at this office. I switched to them from another place in town which I did not have good experiences with.

I’ve dealt with a lot of GPs, peds, and ob/gyns over the years, but I’ve never sent an angry letter to a doctor’s office until now. I made the mistake of making a «new patient» appointment, you know, to establish rapport … was charged an outrageous fee for my trouble. I got there early to fill out paperwork, waited at least 20 minutes past my appointment time, and saw a PA for 15 minutes where we chatted about very little because I am in excellent health. When I called billing to ask about the charge, I got a big dose of attitude. Needless to say, I expect I can find a friendlier clinic in this town(I hope, anyway), and I, my husband, and my three children will not be returning to Arapahoe Peak.

Took my teenage daughter there for a possible UTI – had never been there before. Saw a PA who did the test/exam. She asked if my daughter was on Guardisil – the extremely controversial HPV drug big Pharma is *pushing* – I told her«NO» and that I was definitely not interested(also NOT what we were there for)! She proceeded in condescendingly questioning me like I was some no-brainer who could not think or determine things for myself(I have a medical background, btw). I will add that I am not someone who is completely«vaccine-free» either. I am, however, informed and do select the ones I feel are beneficial for my children’s health(as well as the whole, i.e. herd effect.) IMO, there is not enough evidence to give my child this vaccine which, not only has no long term statistics, but several highly questionable side effects! When I told her this, she became very stiff(like she had a stick up her, ah, «spine») and irritated and she actually said to me: «Well it’s better than the alternative: Cancer!» I mean really? Scare tactics now? So she basically told us ‘if you don’t take this drug, you *WILL* get cancer.’ I was shocked, to say the least. After we left, I had to explain to my daughter that she didn’t need to worry about that, as it was a remote possibility. Anyhow, APHC must get some sort of ginormous kickback to make such bold and false statements – obviously, that is just my opinion, but I will never be going back there again! Oh, and on a completely unrelated side note: their décor does nothing for them either – just horrid! Dark, ancient 70s – not the cool, groovy 70s, either. And(sorry) but the somewhat strange looking crew of people who work there, with their obscure conversations should probably learn to keep them more quiet/private… Just weird overall!
