Alpha Delta Chi, a sorority from CU-Boulder used the Red Barn as a venue for our winter formal. We could not have had a better experience. The venue was stunning and very well-kept, and the location was wonderful. VERY affordable! The owners were involved throughout all stages of planning and were available for any necessary assistance at the event — they are kind-hearted people who proved to be exceptionally accommodating, helpful, and patient. The best aspect of working with the Red Barn was their flexibility in allowing us to choose and use our own options for food, DJ, decorations, etc., but their provision of resources and recommendations when needed! This allowed us to personalize our event, making it unique to our vision, and played a huge role in affordability and fitting this event to our budget, while maintaining minimal stress during the planning process. ADX looks forward to maintaining a relationship with the Red Barn and will definitely consider it for future events! Perhaps one day I will return for my wedding — I could not ask for anything better!

We got married at the Red Barn at the Meadows of Marshdale on 12÷31÷15. Overall, we had an extremely positive experience with this venue. Sure, their management is fairly new and still getting the hang of things, but they were responsive to our calls and emails and were extremely flexible with our budget. The couple that runs the venue are really nice people and did whatever they could to help our wedding run smoothly. With that being said, they could probably use another staff member or two to help with coordination the day of. We were lucky enough to have a wedding coordinator that did most of the work for us. I would say that if you’re prepared to do a lot of the set-up yourself, this venue is a steal. They allow you to bring in your own alcohol and catering which can save you a ton of money, the location is picturesque, and the owners are flexible and willing to work with you. Definitely a great place to get married!

Run away and run away fast. Do not let the gorgeous views of this site sway you into giving this horrible company any of your money. I promise that if you do your big day will be filled with stress and dissatisfaction. The new owners of this site are TERRIBLE! Absolutely unprofessional and unorganized. And even after an abysmal experience with them, they did not even call after the wedding to apologize or hear us out. Ridiculous.

Couples be warned! This«venue» has TERRIBLE management. The views are incredible and the meadow is gorgeous. The hassle and arguments with the owners and staff, however, are NOT worth it — especially since they DOUBLEDTHEIRPRICES!!! When we initially looked at the building and patios for our wedding, we were told that the ceremony would be in the meadow that was between the main building and the Red Barn, which is an absolutely gorgeous area. When we did our«final walk through», we were told it was in a different, MUCH smaller area closer to Highway 73. I was definitely upset by this but I figured we could make it work, and it did turn out to be beautiful. While discussing our decorations, we were informed that we could have our rehearsal on Sunday, the day before the wedding and we were welcome to bring any decorations that we needed to with us and leave it in the«professional» building that we would be utilizing for our wedding. This was EXTREMELY helpful. She also stated that because we were putting our own tents up and there were no other events going on Sunday afternoon or evening that we were allowed to set up our tents and our garden arbor after our rehearsal time. This was SUCH a relief! I had been so worried about getting 2 tents set up, a garden arbor put up, 10 tables set up and decorated(including our buffet tables), all of our flowers done, AND4 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, and myself ready in less than 3 hours! I was very relieved. I was also assured that she(the woman doing the walk through with us) would be available via phone and email for any and all questions that I would have pop up in the last 30 days of planning for our big day and she would also be there on our wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly. Needless to say, I left our final walk through meeting feeling much better about our wedding day. About a week before the wedding is when I started trying to get in touch with her regarding a couple of last minute questions that I had about the rehearsal and the wedding. I never heard back from the same lady. I figured that she would leave the key under the mat for our rehearsal like she said she would and I would see her. Come Sunday and time for our rehearsal, I ran a little late and received a voicemail from someone saying that if I needed anything during our rehearsal to just call that number. I didn’t know who the call was from; it wasn’t anyone I had spoken with previously. I called the number back and told them that we were looking for the key that was supposed to be left under the mat for us to put decorations inside the building — they had no idea what I was talking about but said they would come open the building so we could use the restroom and stuff. We went about our day like we had discussed at the walk through. My Mother in Law went to the store for some snacks so the kids didn’t get fussy and cranky and we started going over the ceremony with our Officiant. Once we were ready, we went through the motions of our rehearsal. After that, we put up our 2 tents and our garden arbor — again, as we discussed during the walk through. Once those were all up, everyone disbursed and I stayed behind with my Dad, brother, and sister to practice once more. We left there at about 6 to 6:15 pm. The day of the wedding, I showed up at about 11 am to find that an older couple, possibly the owners of the professional building(???), were just starting to set up the tables and chairs, which was supposed to be finished by 11 am; the woman that we did our walk through with was not there. After they put the tables and chairs up, they put the linens on top of the tables, still folded in their plastic bags, and left. My wonderful Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids made sure that my tables got decorated and were beautiful. There were a few more bumps in the road and the bride(myself) was late to the ceremony of course, but the day moved along. We never saw the woman that said she would be there for us, start to finish. I never got a returned phone call or email from her. But, we waited to call until we returned from our honeymoon, then we called and spoke to Steve(one of the new owners) about our security deposit; he is not a pleasant person on the phone. He said he would look into it with his accountant and call me back. The next day, I received an email from someone stating that we would not be receiving our entire deposit back because our rehearsal took 3 hours longer than what was allowed. It also stated in the email that they were aware that sometimes people don’t see the«fine print» that they can charge $ 75 per half hour that we go over on the rehearsal time, so they were only going to charge us $ 75 per whole hour instead. I have been arguing with them ever since. As of right now, they have yet to send us any return and they refuse to honor what their employee told us was okay to do. If this issue is not resolved soon, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
