This place is located right behind ewa mart. The gates a closed most of the time. I don’t know if there are set hours that they work because on more than one occasion, I have taken stuff there to get recycled and the gate was closed during business hours. No sign was posted about a lunch or a break. The gates were just locked. Reynolds Recycling is more reliable. You have to watch your step if you are walking there. There is a bunch of warped wood that is your working area and they make for good tripping hazards if you are not paying attention or if you have kids with you. It is not the most cleanliness of places to do your recycling either. There is usually only one person working. If there is a rush, you are going to be stuck waiting around for a bit.

Rating des Ortes: 5 Kapolei, HI
I give this place a 5 star rating. Why? Because it’s close to home and I don’t have to worry about whether or not they’re open. Being open from 10am — 4pm Mon-Sun, I have all day to go. I first discovered them when they were out on Fort Weaver, just past the Storage place. They moved onto Makule Road, so it’s sort of hidden. It seems to be manned by only one person, and he’s VERY sweet :] He helped me sort my plastics and aluminums into separate bins when I had Abira. They don’t take those excess scrap metals and whatnot, but that’s fine. I don’t really have much of that anyway lol. The area itself seems to be pretty rocky. but they placed these wooden sheets on the area where the bins are. They are also kind enough to provide water and soap if you feel like washing your hands after sorting your recyclables out. They also put on some cool music LOL. I like that a lot. It’s hot, but that’s Ewa Beach for ya. He tries to finish up everything as quick as possible. I really appreciate that. I love coming here: D I don’t even think about going elsewhere anymore :)
