Lighting by design and beyond

My wife and I visited this store to take advantage of a sale that they had on external fixtures for around our doors and garage. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful as we looked at the items that were on sale plus other options. They brought out books and looked up various options and finishes as we took our time deciding. We ultimately bought the sale items at an excellent price, and they worked out perfectly.
We found the showroom well-​stocked with a variety of lighting fixtures, plus lots more online and in catalogs that they had there. While checking out, I asked about LED light bulbs, which I keep up on, with extensive research and purchases online. The owner mentioned that he could beat most online prices and had a shipment coming in, showing me some samples. The prices he offered did indeed beat the best online prices I had seen, and the LED bulbs were better than I had yet seen, giving off a warm glow with a color temperature around 2,500K (I dislike the typical high color temperatures of standard CFL and LED bulbs). I ordered a bunch of them on the spot, I got a call from the store when they came in, and and picked them up the other day and they did not disappoint: they look great while being extremely efficient. I haven’t had them long enough to judge their reliability or longevity, but since they’re LEDs I expect them to exhibit both of those properties.
I do a lot of buying online, but I was happy that my wife convinced me to visit Lighting By Design instead. I highly recommend them for their customer service, expertise, and the ability to look at tons of lighting in person before making a decision.

Pretentious staff that ignored me and my wife, as if we were a burden to be there. Never going back.
