I used to eat here often about two years ago. Stopped by the Exton Mall and at Sarku. Mistake! I interrupted the cooks and cashiers conversation, then received a mediocre tasteless meal. Two years ago, I would’ve give 5 stars. The meal was cooked fresh for each customer.

This is a typical mall food court pseudo-Japanese vendor, so you pretty much know what to expect. They make your meat and veggies on a hot griddle, toss it on a plate of rice and it’s done. I didn’t notice anything untoward about the food, service, or speed. All that was exactly what I expected at a food court.

I would completely stop coming here if the food was not alright. I get the same pushy, unhelpful cashier every time. I’d come back if she left

It’s better than other options in this food court. But that’s all I have that’s positive. And it’s not a high bar. The food was basic. My shrimp and chicken teriyaki was good enough. But a side of 3 skimpy pieces of chicken«tempura» wound up being glorified chicken fingers for $ 3. You can do better.

Always slow and always rude. Today I got two orders to go. When I handed the lady my credit card she pointed at my wallet. I notices that some dollars were sticking out. She pointed again and said«pay cash». I informed her how rude that was but she just ignored me.

Sarku Japan is located inside the food court of the Exton mall. For under $ 7, you can get a bowl of teriyaki chicken, vegetable and rice. They offer beef, shrimp and other options. For the price, I think the food is good. Service is quick. They accept cash and credit card.
