Couldn’t be happier with the way they did my sons birthday cake. It was the hit of the party! I will absolutely be using ten again. Thank you!

I just picked up a cake for my sons birthday. The staff was very friendly and even got me to buy a few extra pastries! When they showed me the cake before they boxed it, it exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to surprise him!

I don’t really write reviews but I’m just really upset at what happened. So I order a cake send a picture through email and yeah I know at times it won’t come out exactly how you would want it but you would at least expect the lettering on the cake that you pay to have done come out neatly right? You’re paying more money at a bakery bc you expect it to come out nice and neat compared to when you pick up something at Shop Rite or Stop & Shop right? but when I went to pick up the cake today the lettering for the cake wasn’t what I expected. And to top it off it was all smudged! I had to tell them to fix it. And even after they tried to fixed the smudged lettering it was still not what I expected. I sent a picture that had fondant lettering and The lady that I spoke to explained to me that if the lettering was in fondant it would have cost me $ 150. So extra lettering would have cost an additional $ 75? Maybe an extra layer would but not lettering. I was back and forth with this lady at the bakery and then she later says she’s not the baker and the owner isn’t there. I’ve ordered many cakes elsewhere and this by far is the worst experience I’ve ever been through. I just wished that I didn’t wait till the week before to order a cake bc I usually would have it done 3 wks before with a private baker I usually get it done from had too many orders for today. Lesson learned to not wait last minute! Desserts are good here but don’t order a cake!

After coming here for almost a year for random treats (and loving every one of them!), I ordered my first cake for a bridal shower I was throwing. After explaining my idea over the phone, I was thrilled when I picked up the cake and saw the final product. It was exactly what I envisioned! On top of the fabulous look, the cake was incredible tasting. We received so many compliments on the cake and especially on the taste. I will definitely be ordering all my cakes from Bennys from now on.

The cronuts are great. They have different array of choices. Their other pastry looks amazing to but can’t get enough of the cronuts

Not exactly sure why the reviews are so good. Mostly dry or not well prepared food. The pignoli and soft almond cookies are OK but the rest is ehh. Bad ice cream tons of freezer burn.

Local gem with ownership that you root for. Eclectic menu always trying new things love it! Great snacks and great service.

The crounuts Are out of this world as is everything else we’ve tasted. The people that run this bakery really care. They have a wonderful selection of unique desserts. So happy to have them in town. Amazing!

I LOVE ICE CREAM; with that said, I can probably eat any ice cream. After trying and eating ice cream from Benny’s for the first time last night, I have found the BEST ICE CREAM ever hands down — I don’t get AMAZED by ice cream that easily, but this was out of this world!
Absolutely delicious ice cream and cute bakery can’t wait to come back and try more! If you haven’t checked out Benny’s, you should make it your next stop!

After having breakfast at the lubcheonette next door, I basically crawled my way into the bakery part for
Some to go goodies. They had some free samples out of an apple muffin. I took a bite and it was to die for.
I ordered a cronut and a cream puff made with custard to go. My cronut was an apple crumb cronut. Now the last time I was here I felt like a cronut was a little too hard. But this one came
Out perfectly after soaking up all of the homemade apple filling that was outrageous.
My friend got homemade ice cream to go and some donuts as well. I want the regular donut filled with cannoli cream sprinked with cinnamon sugar and drizzled with Nutella. Please bring them back they are my favorite!

This place has just about any yummy sweet you can think of! What other place do you know in North Jersey that makes fresh cronuts every day on the spot? They have all kinds of flavors and varieties, stuffed with me delicious sweets inside! Plus the ice cream is phenomenal (I got the pumpkin flavor cause I’m a total pumpkin fiend in the fall) and the girl at the front counter, Grace, was a total sweetheart! The customer service deserves five stars, along the baked goods! Thanks for helping me find this place, Unilocal!I’ll be back again very soon!

This bakery is amazing! The owners of this bakery are super passionate about their work and it really shows in the products! They make their own ice cream there, which we stop in for quite often! They also make their own version of the cro-​nut which they call a bennsant and they have a bunch of different flavors of it and they are all AMAZING! I can’t rave about them enough. They have so many tasty pastries and NONE of them are those stale pastries that you often find behind bakery counters. They are fresh and creative and beyond delicious. They have bacon dipped chocolate on a stick that is so yummy.
I ordered my boyfriend his birthday «cake» there this past year which was really a 2 tiered cake made out of maple-​bacon benessants and let me tell you, it was fantastic. So tasty, such a hit at the party. Oh my goodness this place really takes the cake!!!

You haven’t had a cro-​nut until you’ve had a bennasant!
Listen this place is LEGIT. The owner is a French baker that has taken these sweets and baked goods to the next level! I tried only the bennasant but they were the best croissant donuts I’ve ever had. They mix the right amount of crunchiness, layers, and dough to create a perfect cronut. The fillings and toppings only add to the cronut itself.
This is simply a MUST HAVE if you love donuts like I do!

Truly the best bakery in the area. We visited with friends in upstate New York and brought an assortment and they want us to come and visit against as long as we bring more baked goods from Benny’s.

Delicious cronuts! They call them bennesants, I believe. I thought they were all out upon arriving at 8AM, but they were just taking a fresh batch out of the fryer! Tried the cannoli cream, cinnamon sugar, Boston cream, and Nutella. My favorite was the Nutella which was very messy to eat but had the perfect amount of silky Nutella so it wasn’t too sweet and you could still enjoy the crispy croissant like donut. Cannoli cream was also pretty tasty. My daughter’s favorite was the Boston Cream which I thought was just okay. Since this was my first time purchasing these types of donuts, I didn’t realize how expensive they would be. $ 3.50 per donut. Spent $ 14 on just 4 donuts. The cinnamon sugar should cost less since it has no filling. Also for the cost, thought they would be bigger. May be a good thing though, that they cost this much otherwise I would be going to get bennesants a lot more often! ;)
I was considering purchasing a lemon bar as they were packing up my donuts, but upon looking in the case they were placed in I saw a ton of fruit flies. So I was completely turned off. Hope they notice it and clean the case out before other customers see them too.

Seriously? Yes. Just… yes. The little storefront is cute, intimate, simple and the staff is enthusiastic. I’ve had the eclairs (so, so good), the little Nutella cake, danish are perfect, the rainbow cookies have such an amazing texture… wonderful.
The ice cream is great… obviously I had to try the rainbow cookie ice cream and shamefully finished a whole quart within 24 hours. I’ve also tried sugar-​free ice cream (coffee) and it was perfect. They only show 5 flavors in the little display case, but they have like… over a dozen more fresh flavors to choose from — check the board on the right hand wall when you walk inside.
So, yeah… this place. You deserve it.

A Cannoli Croissant Donut exists at this bakery! Croissant Donut rolled in Cinnamon sugar, Cannoli-​filled and drizzled in Chocolate.
Aside from incredible homemade pastries, rice pudding, or chocolate dipped candy bacon; Benny’s has a large selection of assorted ice cream flavors to chose from along with quite a selection of toppings.
You can’t go wrong with the Rainbow Cookie ice cream on a sugar cone, Birthday Cake, the Rum Raisin as a shake, or the Cookie Monster (reminiscent of the cupcake you see in Shoprite). Another favorite is the Maple candied bacon ice cream with bits of real bacon pieces.
Make sure to pick up a bag of the Cookies and Cream Popcorn!
The Owners are so welcoming and make the environment feel like you’re home.
Before you stop into the bakery I suggest you go to the Luncheonette first. EVERYTHING on the menu is homemade and DELICIOUS!!!

Go soon so you can say you were part of the next big thing!!! Haven’t tried anything I didn’t like!

This place is our new obsession! Everything we have had from here is incredible! Creative cronuts, cupcakes filled with peanut butter Oreos, homemade ice creams … What more could you ever ask for!
They even made a «cupcake cake» of the most delicious cupcakes for an event we had two weeks ago. So happy (and a little afraid!) to have a such high quality bakery so close by!
