Some of the most mediocre Tex Mex food in the San Antonio area. Not much cheese in the cheese enchiladas and the beef fajitas had a lot of grizzle. Red and green salsas were good as was the service. Net net… I’m never going back

My family and I moved from Brownsville to Fair Oaks Ranch, and we worried that we would no longer get the authentic Mexican food we love so much. Luckily Las Cruces satisfies our Mexican food cravings. Great fajitas and enchiladas, and fast service. I’m glad to have such good Mexican food so close to our new home.

Las Cruces creates wonderful, classic Mexican food. The service can be spotty but the last few times everything went off without a hitch. The puffy tacos are authentic and everything has a fresh taste.

Mexican grandma says no! We are fortunate to have the most reliable gauge to assess authentic Mexican food. We are new to the area and decided to try after church. Service was somewhat slow and the restaurant appears understaffed The food: taco shells were stale, chorizo/egg tacos were not tasty. The tortilla soup did not have much flavor. Chilaquilles was ok. The coffee was very weak. Most importantly, the tortillas were not homemade or up to par to an average Mexican eatery Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Ok going to try and be as tactful as possible. I have always wanted to open up a restaurant, problem is I don’t have the restaurant know how to be successful. That’s what you have here, ok food looks like a mom pop operation. The service and quality of the front end of the establishment needs a lot of work. Some of the décor or layout borders on a violation or 2. They have a bar don’t know if it’s operational but you may need a drink or 2 to overlook some of these issues, Tv on sports channel may be a strategy to keep you distracted. The food is tasty just needs real help. Maybe the British guy can pay them a visit.

I’ve given this place another try and glad I did. Excellent service, great food, cheap prices. I almost want to apologize for my previous comments. That was their only ‘off day’, I’ve been back at least a dozen times.

Esposa and I have eaten here twice. Service is consistently friendly but S-L-O-W AS A GLACIER. The employees seem unmotivated to do much of anything: take your order, refill drinks, or clean tables. When we sat down, it was NOT busy and there were easily 3 dirty tables around us. When we left nearly 45 minutes later, those tables had gone untouched. The ambiance is absolutely bland. Nothing catches your eye. It’s really sad because this is a prime location for a good restaurant and the building truly has potential to rock. Food is the highlight here: it is good to very good, but certainly not«the best» of anything as other reviewers state. One option is to call an order in and take it to go, as we saw several customers do at each visit. We’ve moved out to this area and will look elsewhere to find authentic Mexican food.
