I love this place, I just wish there was more indoor seating. Great beer and great food trucks!

I was in Fairbanks teaching for the police department and wanted to try out some of the local flavor. This was one of two breweries I visited and was very popular with people in the area. Good beer, nice atmosphere and great tshirts to bring back home! Standing room only both nights I went!

HooDoo is a seriously cool brewery. My boyfriend and I are both beer aficionados, and we make it a point to check our the local beer whenever we travel somewhere new. Thus, it was little surprise that we ended up at HooDoo on our first afternoon in Fairbanks. I tried the saison and the anniversary pumpkin ale. Damn, can these guys brew.
The tasting room is fairly small but very, very popular among locals. We showed up at 3PM (opening time) and found seats very easily, but there were people everywhere I looked when 5PM rolled around. Since there is a 36oz in-​room serving limit per person, most people seem to fill growlers to take home after they have two pints (we did as well). An equal number of people stopped in just to fill growlers for home and skipped the in-​house beers, so more people in Fairbanks are drinking with you than you think!

Hands down my favorite place to grab an excellent beer in Fairbanks. The beer is great, the crowd is fun, and the staff does a great job. The owners really give back to the community too and I really appreciate that. Excellent incorporation of food trucks helps out if you’re hungry. If you haven’t checked it out yet, stop wasting time and go see for yourself!

Great place for a fresh, delicious craft beer and to get into contact with some local wildlife.
Pro Tip: get a flight of beer and get a picture with their truck!
Bonus Pro Tip: Take a 4-​pack of Kölsch to go or you’ll be kicking yourself later!

The beer was good! It is a cool funky place.
Friendly staff. Would like to go back again as hubby would like to taste their darker beers.
