Once we seated ourselves at a table, we got menus and were offered coffee right away. We ordered our food(reuben sandwich and eggs benedict) and were told that the kitchen would be slower than usual to get out our food. We did wait a while, but we were fine with it because the restaurant is comfortable and quiet but not too stuffy. We got several free refills of coffee without asking, which was very nice, though the coffee itself was pretty watered down. The reuben sandwich was sinful and delicious. The mac and cheese I ordered on the side was a simple macaroni+velveeta kind of deal, but was a good sized portion and I enjoyed it anyway. My mom really enjoyed her eggs benedict, but she ordered it with«bacon» and seemed to have gotten canadian bacon? We went up to the counter to pay our bill, and our coupon was received smoothly and cordially. Summary: Service kind but slow, food = classic diner eats.

Just had breakfast there. Bisects and meaty gravy was really good. Fresh and fluffy. Service was great, I never got to the bottom of my coffee cup.

After reading the reviews, I was expecting awful service, but I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and attentive service we got from all the waitresses. I ordered a «build your breakfast burrito» with mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers(~$ 12.50 for 3 topping choices) — this surprised the waitress when I didn’t want any meat or cheese. The burrito comes with home fries or hashbrowns and the option of adding onions and bell peppers on top. The food was fine, but not great.

Wanted something different to try for breakfast so came here on my birthday. It’s seat yourself so we opted for a booth. As soon as we were seated we were brought water and asked if we wanted anything else other than that to drink. We chose just water. The waitress brought menus so we looked through decided what we wanted and like 10 mins later the waitress finally came by and took our order. It took us over 30 mins to get our breakfast! Now we didn’t order stuff that would require such long wait. Now they did come by and ask if we wanted refills so our glass never got empty but 30 mins for food? I’d say if you have plenty of time for breakfast and want to go and shoot the bull then this is your place. But if you are thinking that you have your food up in the blink of your eye better head to another breakfast place cause this one will show you time can really slow down. Is that a bad thing? You decide.

I didn’t even want to give this place 1 star. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Waitress was rude and never came to ask if we needed anything! Horrible breakfast too. And she didn’t offer to fix it or anything just took it away and still had to pay. Our experience here was horrible and will never be back.

My son and I have eaten here two mornings in a row and if we weren’t heading to Chena Hot Springs we would come back for a third! Piping hot food, exactly how you ordered it, sweet and friendly waitstaff and a mix of locals to make you feel like you’re eating in the diner of your own home town. Delicious!

The food was good but the waitress had a terrible attitude. She just slammed everything down and never came back to ask if we needed anything. I don’t think I’ll be back.

The quality of the food at the diner is almost unedible. The prices are only a bit above average but the portions and quality are clearly lacking. With so many great diners in fairbanks it no longer makes sense to pay more for less. Their coffee is hands down the weakest ive ever tasted, it was like tea made with coffee flavor. The only good thing is their staff. Very polite and well mannered. I’m not going to endorse any other diners in my review. But i certainly will not be coming back here.

CANNEDMUSHROOMS! Enough said. We read the other reviews and decided to come here because we LOVE diners. The ambiance and service were great. The food was ok but the CANNEDMUSHROOM ruined it.

Complete Alaskan experience. Get the Reindeer sausage on the side. Endless coffee. Big cups of ice water. Note to self: when did San Francisco go European? When you ask for ice water, you sometimes get just water, or a jar of iced water, but never water with ice anymore. I detest that. Here, you can still get ice in water and lots of it to boot. It’s a local favorite on a weekend. It’s the diner, and it serves diner food. This little town of Fairbanks does not have a lot of breakfast places. To me, this is a keeper. Do come here, but be prepared to wait on a weekend. It does get busy, like the Cookie Jar.

Grabbed some breakfast here based on reviews. It’s exactly what it’s name says. A local diner with good diner food. If you’re craving a traditional diner style breakfast this is a great place to try. Service was very quick and attentive. Friendly locals clearly love this place. Food was good. Was tempted to try a local dish for breakfast off the menu but didn’t(reindeer sausage). A missed opportunity I guess.

Awesome! Little Richards was my favorite breakfast place, no longer. I asked the waitress to bring me something delicious and that’s exactly what she did. Reindeer sausage was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect.

Our new favorite place for breakfast in Fairbanks! I’m still thinking about how great that cup of coffee was over the weekend! Great coffee, quick service and good(and fairly reasonable) food. My partner got the silver dollar pancakes with an egg and I got the Mini Diner(one egg, toast, bacon and hash browns). Everything was cooked to perfection, including the hash browns which is a hard thing to come by. Did I mention the coffee was out of this world? Best cup I’ve had in a long time. It’s going to be our go to place for breakfast.

I had the veggie skillet it’s fantastic except I couldn’t get hash brown with it that’s the only reason why it didn’t get five stars

I have been coming here for years, great food, quiet atmosphere, staff is friendly and always smiling. I usually only eat breakfast, everything is always cooked perfectly and I’ve hardly ever had to wait long unless it’s totally packed, people that have joined me have really enjoyed the Reuben. The best coffee in town, I think they brew it with crack because I keep coming back!

2 for 2. I had an omelette and French toast the first visit and a breakfast sandwich the next. Both were really good. The atmosphere is great. I love the pictures and history on display. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I often skipped the free breakfast at my hotel to have breakfast here, not because it is extraordinary, but really because I wanted a break from the monotony of the hotel breakfast and eat where the locals ate. Pretty standard diner breakfast, and just like some diners back home in NYC, the pies are super-nomz! The servers and patrons alike are friendly and welcoming(everybody seems to know one another), and my server(the girl from Arizona; her name escapes me) remembered me from my past summer and winter visits to Fairbanks. Some local people dining at the neighoring table chatted me up and exchanged contact information, and I even received an email from one of them to check on me to see if I had returned home safely!
