CrossFit Fairfax

I can’t believe there aren’t more reviews! I haven’t been in the Crossfit world for that long, but I have been to multiple boxes for drop ins, testing potential venues, etc. I like Crossfit Fairfax over most others because of the people and the class length.
The main coaches pay attention to detail making sure to review every movement and give further instruction/​set realistic expectations for each individual. The box is clean, has all the equipment you need (yay, rowing!), and is located in a business lot which is not very busy so you don’t have to look over your shoulder in fear of being squashed by a distracted utility truck driver (true story).
I love that the classes are only 45 minutes (instead of an hour+) so you’re not standing there listening to some lecture for 15 minutes or sitting in a stretch circle post workout (although there is an area for that sort of thing). The classes also run on time, which is fantastic. The box throws a Bring a Friend Day the first Saturday of every month and also offers a free month of classes for anyone you refer so get on it! Plus the box is very involved in the community so there are always ample opportunities to participate in local events.

Crossfit Fairfax is a nice crossfit box. Coming from a really competitive box in Utah (UteCrossfit), I was looking for the same type of box that welcomed you with open arms. I think I found that at CFF. Whats nice about their memberships are that the unlimited version gives you access to the sister box Crossfit Reston as well. This is nice because from what i’ve seen and heard, Crossfit Reston has a ton of athletes that make it to regionals and even the games in Carson, CA.
The one negative I will say is that I wish their «Barbell Club» or «Olympic Lifting» Club was included in the price. Its an extra 100 bucks a month if I read everything correctly. So you’re looking at around 275 for a monthly membership. Some BMW car notes don’t cost that much. I I’ll be going back, and maybe even signing up for a membership in the coming months though!
