Great place for novices and experts. Friendly coaches keep the atmosphere very jovial while providing personal attention even in a group setting. Friday fight nights are a blast. We have tried other places but I would recommend this place to anyone as the first choice.

I’ve been fencing here for about two years now at the competitive foil level. Every fencing club has its pros and cons and one should make their decision based on a number of factors including location, coaches, fellow teammates, class schedules, etc. FSA offers a lot of great classes and whatnot, but I’ve got to say my favorite part about the club is its diversity. On any given night, you’ll hear parents, coaches, students conversing in a myriad of languages — Korean, Spanish, Arabic, French, and Russian, just to name a few. FSA families come from all sorts of national and ethnic backgrounds and the diversity lends itself to a vibrant, tolerant, and curious club culture. As someone who grew up in an incredibly homogenous neighborhood, the diversity is something I really appreciate, especially since I spend so much time here!

Great club. They have all the gear for every age group. This is a competitive fencing club, but you can start just doing it for fun. The instructors are top notch so expect to pay a premium, especially if you want private lessons. Even young children can enjoy this sport. Great way for girls to gain confidence. Stop by during a class or on Friday Nights to check it out. Awesome fun that more Americans should be introduced too.
