Super 8 Fairfield

Truly the travelers friend! We stay here every time we travel to Galveston (at least once if not twice a year). The rooms are always clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is ok and will keep your belly grumbles away. For a budget traveler looking for a no frills clean safe place to spend the night you can not do any better. Also if you stay here keep going past the last listed TV channel and enjoy some India programing, its fun and you might learn something!

This Super 8 motel was okay at best. The staffs at the front desk were friendly when we checked in. It seemed like there were a lot of people staying there. The motel was located next to another hotel as well as the I-​45 freeway.
Our room was small but the cleanliness was questionable. The carpet felt like it was damp but it wasn’t do you might want to wear socks instead of bare feet to walk around. The bathroom was very cramped and there were a couple of dead mosquitoes smashed on the ceiling and wall, and 1 dead or dying cricket next to the tub. I only saw soap but no shampoo. Maybe they forgot to stock those? I’m not sure if other rooms had an ironing board and iron, but there was no ironing board or iron in our room. Everything else was okay about the room.
This Super 8 might be ideal for travelers who want to spend the lowest amount of money to stay per night; otherwise, I would stay elsewhere. Slim picking here in Fairfield!
