Went on short notice on a slow Sunday. Chelsea was great. I like the results and that is what I am paying for. So I am pleased.

Very few times in life do you come across such an overall amazing experience! Chelsea and Laurie take the cake in customer service and don’t get me started on how awesome Chelsea is at her art of hair! Much respect for this place and I will only be returning here for all my salon needs!

These people are crazy. I went in just for a trim maybe an inch tops. They try to charge me $ 50 for trim without hair washed or blow dry. That is a retake you list amount of money.

I’ve lived in Fairfield for so long and can’t believe I only tried them today. I had Chelsea and she is fantastic! I booked for balayage color and showed her a picture of the color I want and she nailed it. Very professional and friendly. The salon is clean and very spacious. Reception was very friendly. I had a experience all in all and would definitely come back and have Chelsea do my hair again.

I had the best haircut I’ve had in a while here today! Not only that, but as a man, I’ve never felt so comfortable at a salon in my life! I hope they start doing straight edge shaves! Open a barber up next door eventually. Fingers crossed but either way they are doing great things with scissors!

I’m so happy with my experience at this salon. I am new to the area and was looking for a place to get highlights since I was very unhappy with the way my hair came out at another salon. They were extremely polite on the phone and helped me get the next available appointment. I told them I was blonde and they set me up with Megan who was AMAZING. She listened to my concerns and made sure she had a good understanding of what I wanted. She gave me tons of tips for taking care of my hair and blow drying tips. I was also a bit pressed for time and she did a quality job and got me out with time to spare. Prices are reasonable. They are a group of genuinely helpful and talented stylists and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Salon of Fairfield.

This place is a hidden gem! It is kind of tucked in the corner of the bob’s plaza on the post road and I will admit I drove by several times and never saw it. I saw Kate For my color and Jessiah for my hair cut. Kate talked me into this technique called balayage, instead of getting foils. It looks amazing so natural and gorgeous. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair. I recommend them both a hundred times over.

The worst blowout I have ever received. I get my hair blown out a few times a month. The woman I usually see, at a different salon, can do my hair in 40 minutes and it comes out perfectly. I decided to try this salon out since I thought it could be more convenient, and it took TWO HOURS. My roots were still curly and my hair was done completely different than what I asked for. I went home and redid it. I will not return and will not recommend.

It’s hard to rate a salon because your experience depends entirely on who cuts/​styles/​colors your hair. However I’ve had four haircuts with three different stylists and only one cut was what I asked for and it continued to grow out beautifully, it was cut by Lisa, who’s now gone. She took her time and cut into my waves and created long layers that required almost no styling. But I just left there this morning after asking Meg to keep the shape as is, just take everything up a few inches to cut off the split ends. I finally had a cut that looked great and I really wanted to clean it up without losing it. The appointment seemed rushed and quiet, she’s obviously not trying to recruit new clients. Needless to say I have absolutely no shape, no wave, it’s essentially all one length in the back and my right side angles are about three inches shorter than the left. According to reviews maybe she’s someone who is more into color, not cuts. I wanted to stay at this salon because it’s so close to home but eh, I think theres better places in the area. Update: another inch gone after trying to repair it. So so sad.

Meg is by far the BEST colorist I’ve ever met and my experience has mostly been with widely-​known salons in Manhattan. I’m not the only one who knows how wonderful Meg is though, because I have learned to call for an appointment well in advance – at least a week. And one nice thing is that she never starts those annoying upsell conversations about products and services. The only product she ever recommended was because I asked – and though it wasn’t cheap, it was definitely a best-​in-​class product. I would give five stars except for the fact that, at $ 250 plus tip, highlights and color really are set at Manhattan prices. Maybe this is typical for Fairfield— I’m new. I guess I thought that in exchange for all that commuting time, the local price level would be lower. Oh well… That said, I keep going back because Meg is AMAZING.

Calling all curly girls! First, I found the Deva Curl System and it pretty much changed EVERYTHING. Then I needed a new stylist and found Jess through the Deva website. She’s been cutting my hair for about a year now and is fantastic! She listens and does a bit of mind reading too! (It’s so HARD to articulate curly cuts sometimes!)
Don’t hesitate another second — Don’t feel like you MUST find that picture of exactly what you want — just book your appointment now. She’s really that good.

I went for a last-​minute blow out and was so impressed! Chelsea did an incredible job of helping me relax with a stellar scalp massage during my shampoo, and she styled my hair exactly the way that I requested. It turned out perfectly. She didn’t rush but the whole experience was quick and efficient. I can’t wait to return!

My stylist Marsona at this salon, is truly ONE IN A MILLION.
I have been Marsona’s client since 2007. However; she has switched salons a couple times and when I didn’t know where she was working I went to a couple other stylists until I found out where she was working via social media.
One thing I can say is that Marsona is the only stylist I have been to who produces consistent work. Unlike other stylists I have gone to who seem to get «comfortable» and slack off after you have gone to them a few times Marsona has never «slacked off“and takes great pride and love in her work. She very creative, consistent and honest. She has a true passion for hair and making people happy. I would recommend anyone to her.

Customer service, work ethic, quality of work is superior and have nothing but great experience each time I go, not to mention feelin great when i head home not having to spend 4 hrs like i use to where i use to go before. Recently moved to Fairfield and needed a new salon. Based on the reviews, I tried The Salon of Fairfield and was highly impressed! Chelsea gave me an awesome soft curly blowout for my wedding rehearsal dinner in September. I saw her again this weekend for a haircut and she did an amazing job. This is my new place — no need to try any others! The salon s clean, inviting, and run very well.

By far the best salon in Fairfield. This salon breathes professionalism. It is clean modern but has welcoming warm environment. The talented staff seems to amaze me every time. Being that I am so busy I call last minute and they always find away to service me. All the stylist have done an great job on my hair. They also have great hours open on Sunday’s which I love. My color and hair always looks exceptional. it has actually gotten healthier since going there the color repairs your hair which is so cool… Being a Fairfield resident for many years I highly recommend this salon and all their staff

I have gone from one Fairfield salon to another and was always unimpressed with the stylists and rude receptionists, until I found Gary. He was at another salon at the time, however I followed him wherever he went for the last 4 years. He now owns the Salon of Fairfield, and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone who works there is friendly and makes you feel comfortale and at home. The Salon is brand new, gorgeous, clean, and modern and the prices are very reasonable for the excellent service that you receive. Gary is meticulous, genuine, and always open to new challenges. I think the best way to judge a good haircut is by the number of people who ask you where you got it done. Since I have been getting my haircut by Gary, I get asked all the time and couldn’t be happier.
