Trio Maxim

We hired Trio Maxim for our wedding in Bodega Bay and were very pleased. Having live classical music added such elegance to the event. Trio Maxim played classical music as guests entered, during the ceremony, and during the cocktail hour. They are experienced at weddings and had no problem figuring out when to start and fade out of each song. We had them play Pachabel’s Canon for the Processsional, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring for the Bride’s entrance, and Vivaldi’s Spring for the Recessional.
Jennifer was very responsive on email and helped give her opinions on what some good options would be for our ceremony. I did a lot of research on trios and listened to a lot of samples. Trio Maxim stood out as sounding the most in tune and polished. Having now heard them live, I feel we got exactly what we were hoping for.
I would highly recommend them for your wedding or formal event.

I highly recommend Trio Maxim. They played at our wedding in June of 2013 at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park. I have to admit that I initially had some concerns in booking a string trio as opposed to a quartet that the music may sound somewhat sparse with one less voice; however their composition and expertise more than made up for this and assuaged any reservations I had in that regard. After listening to the samples of several string trio/​quartets in the Bay Area, the pieces by Trio Maxim sounded the most polished and in tune (having a musical background, I was surprised at some of the others). They also had a huge repertoire including several contemporary pieces. We picked mainly classical songs to play before, during, and after our ceremony. During our ceremony, they provided a nice ambiance and adjusted their volume so that our officiant and readers could be heard. We had chosen several different songs to be played during different segments of the ceremony, including a moment of silence. Even though they had asked for a small nod from one of the groomsmen for the transitions, their experience and professionalism demonstrated that they did not need this at all the day of. Everything went as smoothly as we could hope for. Finally, Jennifer was very pleasant and professional in our correspondence and answered all of our questions promptly. In short, I would recommend Trio Maxim for any affair in which a touch of strings would provide a level of sophistication and flair.
