This is the first time I have ever gotten my hair done and had absolutely no complaints.
I’ve had the same hairdresser since I was a kid, and I’m now in my 20s. Since my hairdresser just had her 2^nd child and barely any availability, I decided it was time to move on. I called Pur Natur since I had been there for eyebrow waxes before and they had always done a good job. When I called to ask for a cut and color, I begged them to give me someone good, since this was my first time really coloring my hair, not just getting highlights. They assigned me to Gail, and reassured me she would take care of me.
Gail was AMAZING. I showed her the pictures I brought in and she listened to me describe what I wanted. She asked me questions about what I wanted and what kind of upkeep I could commit to. She cautioned me against going completely blonde, saying such a drastic change may cause me to not like my hair. She ended up keeping my hair natural at the roots and fading to blonde at the bottom (balayage). It turned out absolutely stunning, she cut my hair just the length I wanted, and she was easy to talk to during the entire process.
I would recommend Gail in a heartbeat. This is literally the only time in my life I have gotten my hair done and had absolutely no complaints after. I have since moved to Chicago, and refuse to let anyone touch my hair except her, and will be coming back just to have her redo my hair. She’s that good.

New to the area, I googled a local place to get waxed. I stumbled upon Pure Natur, and I was definitely not disappointed! The place is clean and beautiful. The staff is very friendly. I got waxed by Evelyn, who was amazing. She’s very professional, tells you what to expect, and most importantly, puts you at ease during a time of discomfort. The prices to me are reasonable. Overall, a great place to be.

I am so glad I made it to this salon! Kassandra did an amazing job with my P! nk/​Kelly Osborn mohawk, it is exactly what I wanted and feels so much better than the mop I had! The atmosphere is great as well, I really look forward to coming back and trying some of their other services!

Brian made me feel great. Really listened to what I wanted when it comes to my hair and I loved it. Now my mom is going to have her hair fixed by Brian and she’s excited (someone at Wood River FS butchered it).

Massages are the best!!! Me and my boyfriend love this place we book for each other all the time the Swedish massage is my fav… I absolutely love Janet my boyfriend said I should try others but she is wonderful, I have tried other girls and its just not the same. The staff is so friendly the first time he went he got lost got send somewhere else because he went to the wrong place and when he finally did get there he was only able to get 60 mins vice 90 they send a gift certificate to our home and have always been so nice to us.

I understand that everyone has to start somewhere to gain experience. Considering this place is supposedly a «nicer» place to get pampered, you would expect for the people here to be more knowledgable with their products. I’ve gotten my hair done here before. Didn’t care for it at all. The girl cut my hair way shorter than expected. I said a trim, 5″ came off! I’ve also had a pedicure done here, first and last time. It was suppose to be a 45 min pedi (as advertise). It was more of a 15 min job! :(
I use to use their acne line a long time ago. I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a lot of their products and was always very unhappy. But they would tell me that I’m suppose to break out like crazy before the products would work for me. I’ve tried their skincare, make up, perfumes, hair products and didn’t like any of it so I stopped buying. Fast forward 8 years later, I decided to try again. I’m currently and only using their invati products and absolutely love it! It works like wonders! Something from aveda finally works for me!

Amazing Salon. Amazing people. Great experience from head to toe. If you are looking for a Royal Treatment in the Metro East go see Amanda at Pur Natur. Been going here since we moved last June and this place is the real deal… a true city experience in the suburbs!!!

Consistently good salon. Great products and services, friendly professional staff and beautiful environment. Rodney is a master at styling and cutting. I have thick wavey hair and he knows how to work with it and keep it interesting. When it comes to make-​up, they know how to make a client look and feel good. Melissa is top notch. After four years, I’ve never had a bad experience. Thank you Pure Natur!

I was in search of an Aveda spa to get a Perfecting Plant Peel and facial. In Ohio, we were spoiled to have an Aveda Institute and many Aveda spas, sometimes within feet of each other! My search in the St. Louis area took me a little further than down the street. Pure Natur, while it is in Illinois, has great hours and reasonable pricing (for an Aveda concept salon). On-​line booking was extremely easy.
My esthetician was very friendly and did a great job.
The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. It fits very well with the Aveda aesthetic.
I will definitely be going back for future services!

I love Aveda product and the smell when your in the Aveda Salon. I had waxing service and hair cut service. Terrible job on waxing! I requested for a master stylist for my hair. My hair was down to my mid back, I told him how I wanted my hair and not too short. I come out with hair neck level. Not what I’d ask for! I paid pretty good money for a master stylist. Don’t go there to get your hair cut! I paid with the credit card and got charged for ATM fees, what’s up with that!

Great service!!! You usually know what you’re getting into with an Aveda salon so when I came in town I booked an appt.
Upon coming in they offered me tea and water and took my coat for me! Everyone on staff was so friendly and welcoming! During my wash I got a head rub and a hand massage… Very relaxing!
I will definitely return when I’m back in town again!

The first time I went here my haircut was very uneven in the back. I went back to the salon and another stylist fixed the haircut. I continued to go to that second stylist for a while but after getting an all over dark color to my blonde hair when I asked for lowlights with highlights I didn’t go back. I did call about the problem with my hair color and was told I would need to pay for highlights if that was what I wanted. I was pretty frustrated and upset since I asked for highlights to begin with. I would not recommend this salon.

I’m a big fan of Aveda products, but good products don’t always make a good salon. However, Pure Natur sells great products AND is a great salon. I know that whatever service I purchase, I’ll receive top-​notch, personalized care. I love this place!

Lots of pampering! Great staff! Not too bad on the prices, i have been to other salons and paid the same without having a hand massage or drink. They do nails, facials and massage. Which is good for me, because i would like to get it done all at one place. I do not have to worry about getting a toe fungus because they use copper bowls instead of the big all in one thrones. The Aveda brand is the best above all products! It is 97% natuarally derived My hair has never looked better! Im obsessed with this salon and their products!

As with all Aveda salons, they know how to do their stuff. It is one of the friendliest, most relaxed spas that I have ever been too. I think spas can be scary because depending on the clientele and staff, they can be snobby and standoffish. Not this one. Every single staff member is super nice.
I was a bit worried about the quality of the job because well, we’re in Fairview Heights, not in Chicago or even St. Louis. But all my worries went unfounded. My esthetician was super awesome, explained everything to me before proceeding, and kept up a lively banter during the entire experience. And the job itself? Was super fabulous.
The prices overall are cheaper than what they are in a big city like Chicago. However, I was comparing their prices to other Aveda salons in St. Louis, and for some procedures they are cheaper and others, they run a little bit more expensive (which is why I knocked off a star). So it pays to shop around. But either way, know that you’re going to get a pampered experience here!
