Paciugo Gelato

Took a large group of kids there tonight only to find out they had closed 25min earlier than their posted hours. Good thing is Baskin Robbins in McKinney actual operates within their posted hours so we were able to fill the need.

This is the 2^nd time we’ve been to this location and the employees were closing down the store 15 minutes before the posted closing time. They said their boss told them to close early. Horribly rude employees and bad business practices. We will not be back to this location… There are too many other businesses working hard to gain your business and are reliable.

Surly service and subpar choices.
With only 2 people in the place the owner acted completely put out when we walked in.
I bought my first child’s ice cream and walked back to continue playing bean bag toss at Twisted Root. A few minutes later my other son wanted to get his ice cream. We walked back over and the owner pointedly said, «you come back again?» And sounded annoyed. I was paying cash AND had tipped so two transactions wasn’t costing him anything.
My boy tried one flavor, then asked for pink lemonade. I told him he wouldn’t like it but he wanted to try it anyway. I let him and he hated it. I laughed and encouraged him to try the caramel.
The owner then said (rudely, of course) that he could only have one more sample. I told him that no, he could try a few more. Keep in mind my first son tried 3 then picked with no comment from this man.
The owner argued and said, «it is only 3 samples allowed.»
I replied, «no. You’re not doing that. He’s a little kid and wants to decide. You have no signs with that rule and you can’t just say that.»
He continued to push and was a compete jerk to a 5 year old over picking a few samples.
We love Paciugo but will never go to this location again. The Watters Creek one is so much nicer and cleaner.

Music was Loud, and un-​lounge gelato like.
Felt as if I should have ordered a vodka?
Girls liked it, might return but service was not available or present. Short and unfriendly.

So delicious! Faves: Amarena Cherry Cheesecake, French Vanilla and Wedding cake!

Just okay. All the amazing-​sounding flavors boast «70% less fat than ice cream» and sadly, my taste buds were missing that 70%! Tried the Piccolo size with Hazelnut Mocha, Tiramisu, and the Tres Leches flavors. Two of the three I’d try again — the tiramisu was just a little too liqueur-​y for me and I LOVE real tiramisu! I’m sure the location keeps this store afloat but i was the only customer in the store at around 7 pm on a Thursday with a few eating theirs outside. Next time, I’ll just save my ice cream tooth for the nearest Baskin-​Robbins or Braum’s.

Went yesterday for a late night snack. Arrived at 9:52 and they close at 10– should be good, right? Wrong! The girl was putting all the gelato away and told us «Sorry, we’re closed already.» It wasn’t 10 yet and there were still other patrons inside enjoying their treats.
Store owner/​manager– fix this!

Friendly service, but I buy Paciugo only when Fondente Extra Dark Chocolate gelato is available. That stuff is addicting!

So delicious! If you’ve never had gelato and/​or Paciugo’s, definitely stop in. The gelato here is always smooth, fresh, and rich. Panna cotta is fantastic. Chocolate chip is really good; I also like the sorbettos when I’m trying to be calorie-​conscious.
Staff are always friendly and and more than happy to give you samples. I love stopping in at Paciugo when I’m in Dallas.

This location is where my love affair with Paciugo started. I can’t even begin to tell you how much i love it! So delicious, it’s actually really hard to believe how much less fat it is in comparison to ice cream. So many delicious flavors to choose from and they are always so nicely displayed… it makes you want to try everything.

I love the gelato at Paciugo! This location seemed to have more flavors to choose from than some of the other ones I’ve been to. The girl working behind the counter was nice and welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door, even though she was busy waiting on the customers ahead of us. I did think that they could have used an additional person to help out being a Saturday night, but other than that, I have no complaints. There are tables inside and outside, plus other seating around the shopping center, so there are plenty of spots to sit and relax while enjoying your gelato.

Have you ever had gelato? They have the best gelato in the DFW area. We were in Italy and tasted gelato there every day. They have one on almost every corner. The U.S. version is lower in fat than those in Italy and also than ice cream and loaded with a flavor to please anyone’s taste. You will save a lot of calories going here vs. the ice cream shops with all the mix ins. They even have non-​dairy and sugar free options. There are 5 Paciugo’s within 15 minutes of my house and I’m a regular at all of them. My favorite flavor is the Amaretto. I mix that with about anything else! As long as they have Amaretto I’m happy. You can get 3 flavors with a small cup and 4 flavors with the next size up. Ask them for a card for frequent purchasers and you can track your points and get free gelato. It adds up pretty quickly:) I’m a big fan of Paciugo’s and if you haven’t tried it, you should treat yourself.

Glorified soft serve ice cream. The texture is nothing like the best italian gelati, and the flavor is mediocre. This is what you get from a large chain. Yuck.

I love this place! Delicious gelato, great service. Veronika is girl who works there, always very nice. Nice place, good staff, clean place, plus less calories then in regular ice-​cream!

Went here and was served by the nicest young man named John. He was very knowledgeable and offered a couple of samples and advice before I chose the flavors. Good gelato –Coconut is my fave! Chocolate is good too. 5 Stars on Service…5 Stars on Quality … 4 stars only because of price.

Their gelato is good. I love the rose gelato. Too bad they do not always have it, so I have to go to the one in Watters Creek to find the rose gelato.

What we like about this place is how amazing the gelato is but also the place is super clean. There’s nothing appetizing about sticky counter tops. We go every few weeks and always find unusual flavors that we don’t find in other gelato places. It helps that they’ll let you taste as many as you want before you buy because there’s so many to choose from. We’ll try the coffee drinks in the winter — they look yummy too.

I was walking around near my apartment after a good evening meal and found this place. They probably had 30 flavors of ice cream. I ordered a small Affogato al Caffè — two scoops of smooth gelato dumped in a shot of thick esspresso and then topped with whipped cream. I choose a scoop of choco chip amaretto and one of Tiramisu. Awesome. Definitely coming back (often)
Now this place is only 2 minutes walk away from my apartment. And they are open until 9 pm sunday thru thursday and until 10 pm on fri and sat. Great Ice Cream is only 2 minites away
