We eat out all the time and were skeptical about this one because of the reviews. So we tried to for ourselves and loved it all! Service was great and I would recommend the spaghetti squash

We found this place through groupon and boy and I glad we did. The service was really amazing, Reggie was our server and he was just wonderful. He took such good care of us and was very kind to our little boy. He had great recommendations and was attentive without being overbearing. The other servers near us were also very kind, two other servers came to check on us even though we weren’t their table. The food was also just amazing. I would highly recommend the pork belly to start, it was among the best appetizers that I have ever had. It just melts in your mouth, the polenta is an amazing accompaniment. We had the scallops for our entrée, and they were just as good as the pork belly. They were cooked perfectly, which is always a pleasant surprise as rubbery, overcooked scallops tend to be so common. It really was one of the best tasting dinners that I have had since I moved to San Diego a year ago. I would recommend the AquaTerra restaurant to anyone. We will definitely be going back and taking friends. This is worth the drive.

I have loved this place in the past, but the service over my last few visits has been beyond horrible. There is no management leadership to lead a young staff. I am a member of their dining club, but once my membership runs out, I won’t be back. This place has so much promise and has a beautiful bar, but the lack of management and poor service make me never want to go back. If you go, be prepared for slow to negligible service, no floor manager to check in on you, and a big bill.

Went for breakfast this morning and was horribly disappointed. Seat yourself but tables weren’t bussed and the ones that were cleaned off weren’t set. Service was S L O W and mediocre. Had to ask for silverware, salt and pepper. Food was not hot and mediocre as well. I had the eggs Benedict. Menu said it came with fruit and I had rubbery hash browns. Muffin wasn’t toasted and my 2 eggs were cooked totally differently. One egg was poached hard, the other the whites weren’t done. The hollandaise sauce was the only redeeming item on the plate. My husband got a bowl of house granola — dry? Huh? We won’t go back under any circumstances especially because of the lackluster service. It felt like we were an imposition because no-one wanted to be there this morning.

Service was great! We stayed at the hotel which I’m not crazy about. Major upgrades needed. But the restaurant was great! Had asparagus tempura, sushi, and squash spaghetti. Server was awesome! Very friendly. In the morning we had a Sunday breakfast buffet was was very good! Food was great but the service was even better! Several staff showed my kids animals in the pond and pointed things out. Great at drink refills and amazing at going out of their way for us! We definitely go again.

One of my favorites I keep returning. The food is well made, presentation is great, prices very decent, and the ambiance as well as views are fantastic. I usually meet up with one of my best friends and we sit overlooking the greens just talking about life and enjoying great food. It’s our hidden spot that’s not over crowded and very few people know about. The only drawback is they close too early. I went there once on a Friday for happy hour and light dinner. The waitress was SOOO pushy to get us out of there and kept coming back to our table«ok, is there anything else you need we’re about to close in 15 minutes?» it was 8:45 pm and they wanted out ASAP!

Don’t do the brunch unless you’re getting an omelette — that’s the only thing that was hot. All the other buffet food was cold & old. Couldn’t even cut through the English muffin on the eggs benedict. Then $ 5 for each mimosa. Lawrence Welk is only $ 7 more and you get two glasses of mimosa with the meal and they have a huge selection not teenie weenie like Pala’ + Welk has a dessert table to boit.

Don’t know why this place doesn’t have a higher rating than 3.5 stars. We haven’t been here in a long time. Came on a whim. We shared the peanut butter stuffed tempura jalapeños with raspberry dipping sauce. Like a pb and J sandwich on steroids. So good. I had the scallops with risotto, mangoes and asparagus. Very rich and creamy. Scallops were tender like a great steak. Hubs had the flank steak, with cabneret onions and fries. Also very tender and delicious. Cali creamin’ beer on tap. He liked that. We sat outside and listened to a killer blues band with a 14 year old phenom playing and signing. Great evening. Glad we came. Will def. Be back.

So we came in this morning for brunch the morning after a wedding and I didn’t realize that the whole wedding party and friends were going to come as well. Shortly after I arrived my party grew to 30+ people with no notice given to the restaurant staff. The servers and cooks were most likely not prepared for that type of rush but they did and absolutely fantastic job. All of the food was exceptional and they service was serious spot on for that large of a party. The servers also were able to accommodate and keep several split checks in order as well which impressed me. If management reads this please commend the AM shift on 9⁄5 for their excellent work for making the end of a special wedding event a good one. 5 stars

I have not been disappointed yet. The food is delicious. Try the tempura asparagus. so tasty served with dipping sauce and shaved Parmesan. or the scallops cerviche. my niece and her hubby are very fond of the spicy sushi rolls, salads are yummie too. I especially loved the cherry crusted salmon on a bed of cauliflower mashed. oh oh and the crab and artichoke dip and the fallbrook Cabernet. love the half bottles. Great service. and the entertainment is very fun. liked all shows we’ve seen, custard pie, the Brazil dancers and fleetwood west coast .very nice. Beautiful place to enjoy a fabulous meal in paradise

My wife and I ate at Aqua Terra for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away at 5pm(with reservation) to the best view of the golf course. We started off with a fresh draft Hefeveizen and appetizer of artichoke and crab. Both the beer and appetizer were great. We then had the Top Sirloin which was as tender and tasty as filet mignon. The steak was almost 3″ think. The glaze and flavor were out of this world. Nothing was left on our plate. Some minor irritants were the carpet was dated and perhaps a bit smelly, the chairs were not very robust(metal frame) for an almost fine dining restaurant. Next, the menus were not as clean as they should have been. Parking was a bit of a hassle. Lastly, the men’s bathroom were missing tiles and was dated. All in all it was a great experience and the cost and overall value of the experience was excellent. Other than the dated atmosphere, we were delightfully pleased. Would recommend to a friend. We will be back.

Very disappointing drove from far away For this??? They have no clue. Patio is full as should be and they are lost. Got served appetizer with no silverware. By the time they got it the food was cold. The bartender actually came out with silverware and was very nice and helpful. But waiter not so much. Had asked for heater to be lit, he had to get help. Which never came. Until we asked someone else. Not sure a return visit will be made. We love to golf! So let’s see how the rest of visit goes but first impression not so well.

Had our Anniversary dinner at Aquaterra tonight. The facility is very nice, the bar well stocked, the servers on their toes and the dinner was outstanding. The Mrs. had the Top Sirloin and I had the Halibut. Both dishes were perfect! Worth every penny! We will be back!

I hate golf. I’ve tried it many, MANY times and I’m no good at it at all. I always feel self conscious on golf courses because I don’t know the lingo. With that being said, this place is great! The food is fantastic. Golf is not the center of ensuring. I’m coming back.
