Great spot for breakfast and lunch. Love the Thai Tomato Soup! I could eat it once of twice a week. Service is always good. I enjoy the slightly quirky nature to the menu. Lots of variety.

Let me preface this review by saying that I will definitely give this joint another try. At first glance, you may believe that this mom and pop spot is nothing more then a hole-in-the-wall bar. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, that’s the main reason that we decided to stop! It is a full service restaurant, with a clear separation between what is the bar, and what is the sit down area for service. Speaking of service, I really have nothing bad to say about it, or the prices for that matter. Unfortunately, I can’t say either one of those two things were worth writing home about. On to the food… what a stellar selection! They literally have something there for everyone. I was ecstatic that they offered onion rings as a side(fried onions make me happy). To go along with my onion rings, I chose the fried fish hoagie as my entrée. I’m sure you may be a little perplexed as to why, with all of these positives, I would have only rated this review with two stars. Well, fear not my friends, there is a method to my madness. I had been craving a fried haddock sandwich all day, and when I saw it on the menu, I knew it was the only option for me! When the order arrived, and I was done basking in the glory of my fried side, I lathered up my sandwich with some tartar sauce and went to town. Anybody who knows me, knows that I’m not one to send my plate back to the kitchen, nor am I the kind of person that doesn’t finish a meal he enjoys. I knew something was wrong with the fish when someone in my party asked me if I was okay. I don’t know how else to put it, three bites in and I could not bring myself to finish the sandwich. It was as close as I have ever been to sending food back. A little dramatic maybe, but it is as accurate as I can get as to how I felt about the overall quality of the food I had ordered. To wrap it up, if you’re party is looking for a large variety of food because you’re having trouble deciding on what to spend your money on, I think you may be able to find something here to suit your needs. If you’re looking for spectacular services and a high quality meal, keep on looking folks. Restaurants are kind of like fish, there are plenty in the sea.

Wow! This place was a great place to stop for lunch! Good food and good service is sometimes hard to come by and this place delivers both! I ordered the chili and the buffalo chicken flip(pita). I absolutely loved both. Full of flavor and spicy just the way I like it. Also, the portion sizes for the prices is amazing! This place is like a half bar half diner. You get that interesting and fun atmosphere and delicious food.

Updated review: one of those rare places where I regularly order different menu items and have never had a bad meal. Definitely have never experienced poor service. Salads to sandwiches to soups and appetizers, this place rocks. Think upscale diner food. They use Breadworks bread and Boars Head meats. Portions are large and the waitresses are friendly and attentive. Newest member of my 5 star club.

Awesome food, huge portions, ate in both sections, the bar and the back dining room(because we had kids with us) have to say tho, service is slower in the main dining room. Great selection of beer, BEST Bloody Mary in the Valley ! Bartenders are quick & always smiling ! Great soups ! Summer time fun with car cruise once a month I think?

Poor service. Went for breakfast and waited 20 minutes with no waitress coming to get our order while others around us had the waitress come right up to them.

It’s disappointing for me to write this review after having two good experiences here. Food is good. Love the Crunch like everyone else and soups are full of flavor and yummy. But what seems to get worse every time we go is the service. Usually it’s slow which I understand. I don’t want fast food and I understand it takes time for quality and I’d rather relax and enjoy my food when I’m out. However this time, our service was pretty bad. We never got our drinks filled. I had to go up to the bar to get two more waters and our server never even brought our soups which is really what we went for. When the rest of our food finally arrived we mentioned the soup and she had totally forgot about it. We no longer wanted them since we had our other food. I understand people forget things but there was no one there. Three tables, one was done eating, and one person at the bar. All we ordered was soup and a sandwich and my bf had breakfast with soup. Forgetting half our meal is pretty bad. I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life. If I was the owner and one of my servers forgot $ 10 worth of food off of a now $ 15 bill on a slow rainy Saturday, I’d be kind of annoyed. Might be back, but it won’t be for awhile.

Have been here for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both. They have an extensive menu and there is something for everyone. I have sat in the bar and in the restaurant area. The place is very casual and the staff was friendly. They have nice tvs in the bar and weren’t very crowded for a Sunday afternoon Steelers game.

One of our favorite lunch places. The Cuban and Ruben are probably their best sandwiches in my humble opinion. We like their Texas Tooth Picks as well but they need large fried pickles — hint hint.. The service is sometimes slow but it’s ok. The waitress’ are friendly and attentive to the children always talking to them as if they are their kids. nice place we always enjoy going. It usually always busy but we never had to wait to get a seat. Everyone we have sent there has been pleased. Score Food Quality 4 Service 4 Atmosphere 4 Value 4 Recommend 5

One of my favorite local joints. The various sandwiches are the highlight here(Tuscan Grille being my personal fave, though they also have a killer Reuben), the fish fry is tremendous too. Service can get a little slow at peak times, and breakfast portions are a little weak(though the food itself is excellent). Strong beer selection as well.

Wow was this bad. Now granted we arrived only 20 minutes before close, but that’s no excuse for such horrid food and service. I got the chicken parm special and my hubby got their version of the french dip. When our food finally arrived –you would think they’d speed it up since it was closing time-my chicken was so burnt as to be inedible. Picture to follow. The sauce was nothing more than tomato paste and water, no flavor or seasoning to be found. Hubby and I both ordered fountain drinks, I recieved one and was given water after that, he never even got one because the syrup had run out and she never brought him a replacement. Got charged for 2 fountain drinks though. I refused to pay for my meal. The french dip thing was«an ordinary sandwich, not alot of flavor, I’ve had better.» In summation, burnt tastless food, poor service, inattentive staff –we will not be back.

Again… you wouldn’t think it by looking at it from the outside. but this restaurant isn’t half bad! It’s across the street from Zooky’s and the Grand Valley Inn and situated on the side of the highway. The food is good and they give awesome portions. You won’t leave here hungry. And it’s all for a reasonable price. Their breakfast is quite popular too.

The other night my parent’s and I decided to dine at one of our favorite places: Brady’s Run Grille. I have been here on several occasions and have never been disappointed in the food or friendly service. The servers were even very accommodating when I came here one crutches due to a broken foot. There are Steeler’s decorations everywhere and a television tuned to either a local game(baseball, hockey, or football) or some news station. There is a deli counter where you can purchase Boar’s Head meats. And if you have heard the ads, Boar’s Head is a brand well worth the hype! So, I ordered the fish and chips like platter, it went by a different name on the menu but can’t remember what now. Mom got the special, the pierogie platter, but I can’t remember what Dad ordered. My meal, even for fried food, was EXCELLENT! The white cod came as breaded, fried nuggets. These weren’t extremely fishy tasting, or over saturated with oil. The fries were perfect! Nice and thick, crispy on the outside, slightly soft on the inside. Nothing that I ate was the least bit greasy. The fries were so good they didn’t even need ketchup! Mom’s platter contained 8 large potato filled perogies and various veggies with the perfect fries. It was huge! The server was very friendly and kept our glasses full, even while the reports of the recent hurricane flashed across the TV screen. No dessert on this visit, but will be back soon! I don’t give 5 stars lightly, but Brady’s Run Bar and Grille deserves it!

Went to a new place this visit, Brady’s Run. I don’t know why we had never gone before because it was our kind of bar with an extensive menu. We stopped by the first day for drinks and the bartender was funny and talkative which is always good. Our second visit we tried the deep fried jalapenos and onions. The jalapeño strips where something I had never seen before, usually only as poppers but these were very tasty dipped in Ranch and not too hot. I will order again. The fried mushrooms were just OK, the Cubano was pretty good, pretty standard but I had one earlier in the week that was the bomb. The Philly cheese steak was good but since I’m not a fan of American cheese I will change up the cheese next time. The bartenders were all great, friendly so I can’t wait to return and try something new. Future note to self: they have guest rooms upstairs for $ 39, short trip down for a drink and food and no drive home, YEA!

Note 1: This is right across the street from and affiliated with the far more upscale Grand Valley Inn. Note 2: The zip code is correct, but the webpage and my receipt lists it as being in Fallston instead of New Brighton. The backwoods monster of a sandwich I encountered this afternoon has its own theme music! Enter…Doug’s Nightmare. It’s a sandwich that’s only offered during part of the year, I am guessing the month of October to be exact(I really didn’t look at the supplemental menu it was listed on well enough). My girlfriend pointed it out to me, saying«This is ALL you.» Prepare yourselves. This gets ugly. Comedian/health nut Bill Maher would need to see a therapist after merely reading of it. It’s a burger. Two patties. Lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and cheese. Now I’d only heard of these types of burgers. I didn’t think they really existed. There’s no bun. Instead, the meat and veggies are surrounded by two grilled cheese sandwiches. So it’s a double-decker burger and two grilled cheese sandwiches merged into composite, heart-stopping hellhound of a meal. Shockingly, it held together well, with the toothpick garnish being almost unnecessary. It was obscene, really. It’s not supposed to be tasty. It’s the kind of garish creature that foodies either mock or are revulsed by. If there is a case to be made for the marriage of toasted, buttered bread, thick, gooey cheese, and ground chuck, let Brady’s Run Grille act as Justice of the Peace. I saw it as a challenge, something I felt I had to take on for the sport of it, but I actually rather liked it. Is Doug’s Nightmare for everyone? Would you have your grandmother ride The Phantom’s Revenge with you? Would you take your Christian fundie cousin to see Behemoth? At Mr. Smalls? An old church? Did I finish it? Oh yes. It tapped out. Another notch has been carved onto my belt. But please. Beware. Onto the establishment itself… It’s a bar, grill, deli, and guesthouse(no foolin’! they have for rent 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and cable!) in one with a spacious dining room and televisions and sports memorabilia all over the place. Also adding to the décor are old cans of various Italian olive oils and a thirty-pound bucket… of lard, or if you’re PC, shortening. I tried my girlfriend’s hot roast beef sandwich, a dish I normally don’t care for and was surprised at how tender the roast beef was. We had three sides between us; onion rings, potato salad, and cole slaw. The onion rings were the f(pha)ttest I have ever sampled and had a batter so beery, I almost walked out with a lampshade on my head. Each ring was actually made up of two onion slices, making them thick and wide. The onions inside were also perfectly steamed and were al dente like a fine pasta. The cole slaw was typically crunchy but atypically creamy. Their potato salad is also highly worthy. Full of all sorts of chopped veggies, it was not without a bit of tang, as if they use vinegar or sour cream. This ain’t Grandma’s. It’s homemade, and if you’re a fan like I am, and/or are a regular reader of mine, you know what I’m talkin’ about. As if we didn’t have enough food, we also had ourselves some dessert. The girlfriend got a slice of Mandarin Orange cake, which also has pineapple and a whipped cream icing. It tasted like something Paula Dean would make on her TV show and tasted suspiciously like a dessert called Pig Pickin’ Cake, something my mother makes from time to time… A moist but light cake and fruitier than Weird Al, I implore you to try it or make it yourself, especially if you’re not much for rich desserts. It’s a change of pace for sure. I had two little funnel cakes, both of which were golden, crispy, and pure hedonistic, deep-fried, state fair euphoria. I’m glad we came here since I tend to have more fun with paupers(Brady’s Run Grille) than I do with princes(Grand Valley Inn). Besides, you can play the lottery here too. So come, eat, drink, buy some Powerball tickets, and stay the night.
