Great service and a nice atmosphere. Still off season so no wait to get in. Had the clam strips which were very good and fresh. Kids meals were very good as well for the family. Reasonably priced for fresh seafood.

Great food. Reasonable prices and fun staff. I don’t care that the décor is average… Who needs pretentious! Fresh fish, many items that establishments serve out of bags are made on site like the nacho chips. Glad we stopped by again!

There is a reason there aren’t many cars. So So food and crummy surroundings. Better off cooking at home.

Quick service and good food. Exactly what I want on vacation. Get the onion rings, skip the calamari. I will come here again.

The seafood is top notch! Service/waitstaff are top notch! The owner is top notch! Lisa, the Bartender, is the best. Pat is great. The onion rings are the bomb! Best fried clams(from Ipswich, Mass) in the area. One of my favorite places to go! Last ate there on Friday night, August 21, 2015. We got the prime rib, and the salmon. We shared and made a surf/turf meal. Prime rib was great, cooked just right, and the Salmon was slammin good! Cooked to perfection. Best I have ever had. I have been there to eat on several occasions, always has been great.

This place was an unexpected pleasure. The service is great — very friendly and comfortable. The lobster roll had an obscene amount of meat, and the scallops were exceptionally sweet and cooked to perfection. The beer list is impressive as well. I will definitely come back.

A few friends and I came here specifically to sing some karaōke. We had been looking for a karaōke place for some time and, having noticed the signs in the past, drove 40 minutes on a Friday night to indulge ourselves. Not the biggest deal, in general, but a difficult thing to do this time of year for locals like us who are working long summer hours. The KJ, Jim, was inconsiderate. Several people sang numerous songs. One regular sang 5 songs in a row. We sat for 2.5 hours, put in 4 songs and sang 1 song, all the while watching new arrivals step immediately up to the Mike. After realizing that he never even entered our second round of songs, we resubmitted them. Just as we thought our song was finally next, a new person(an employee of the bar) was bumped before us and then KJ Jim proceeded to sing 3 songs in a row. By this time it was ten minutes until closing time. This is unacceptable and, some would argue, discriminatory. Perhaps one must be a friend of the unprofessional and dismissive of paying costumers. The staff was nice. Bartender was nice. The KJ doesn’t seem to want to attract new patrons. Perhaps he should line up gigs for himself or form a band if he wants to be the main attraction. Too bad. We love to sing. Like the place. Like the vibe. But won’t comeback.

Family and I are on vacation in Falmouth. Our 11yo loves karaōke. I called to see if it was ok to come with family. The gentleman that answered was really nice and invited us down. The waitstaff was really nice. We just had some apps. Very light crowd for a Friday. We would return

Good food, but small portions. The owner was the waiter and cook. The placed was kind of run down but made up in friendliness.

Well, we did try it again, on Christmas Day. We were pleasantly surprised. Four of the five of us had the Prime Rib, which was delicious and cooked as requested. The other had broiled scallops. All were good. The sides could have been warmer. Our server was wonderful, and all and all it beat the alternative… cooking.

We went while with a dog and they let us sit out on the otherwise-empty patio with her. Pretty nice of them! The waitstaff was friendly and knew the menu well, and everything was as good as they’d recommended it as being. Not the very most best mind blowing of all dinners, but definitely not a bad choice.

This is my first review and I feel like it is completely necessary. In a town full of seafood restaurants, this is not the one you want to go to. The preparation and presentation was awful. I could hear the microwave timer go off multiple times as I sat in my booth waiting for my food. I ordered salmon and when it arrived there was a lack of seasoning and it was discolored. It looked as good as it tasted. Pretty terrible. My boyfriend ordered the lobster roll and he said it was cold and bland. $ 60 later. The only positive I could take from this dining experience was the glass of wine to help me forget it.

Overall everything was great. Texas Burger was juicy and flavorful. Take advantage of the Unilocal deals. Great wait staff!

Just re-read the address to make sure I went to the place so many people raved about. I’ve beenYelping for quite some time and rarely does Unilocal fail me. I guess I was due. If we were not pressed for time I would have left 2 minutes into this experience. The interior of this place was just depressing and the carpet smelled bad. We ordered two burgers and checked in on Unilocal in order to get a free basket of onion rings and thank goodness we did. They were the best part of the meal! The burgers arrived glistening on grill dirt and oil. Not joking. The taste of a dirty grill is unmistakable. See photo. I’m appalled that we were charged $ 11.99 and $ 12.99 for two dirty burgers. Ugh. Best part of this place was the waitress.

The restaurant is a little run down. We ordered calamari. It was not fresh it was frozen. Not that great. We ordered a Caesar salad-large, a fish platter and two kids meals and the beers. Caesar was dry and way too expensive. Fish platter was good… Hot crispy, and good tasting. Kid meals were $ 7.00. So overall it was OK and I think overpriced. Our waitress was very friendly! That was a plus.

This was my first visit to this resturant and it was really good. My wife and I were promply greeted and seated. The waot staff was friendly. We ordered the home made chips and salsa, they were very good. We both ordered the fried clams they were copkedmto perfection and were very sweet. The french fries were cooked just right and the slaw was fantastic. This place is a must go.

I tried anchor ale house tonight and it was delicious. You get a lot of food for your buck. I got the fried haddock with a salad and vegetables and it was delicious. My friend got the fried scallops and French Fries. The scallops were absolutely delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal!

I have been eating out in Falmouth for about 15 years and only recently discovered Anchor Ale House. There are no frills and the place certainly doesn’t catch your eye from the outside like some of the more quintessential Cape/Falmouth restaurants. That being said, what this place lacks in aesthetics it makes up for with consistently prepared delicious food, a great craft beer menu and top notch service. The fried seafood is probably the best in town. They also have a lot of options for bigger groups too: sandwiches(really good burgers and lobster rolls), salads, high quality steaks and grilled or broiled fish(the swordfish was delicious). They also have a bunch of apps — I have not had the onion rings or stuffed quahogs but others I have eaten with really enjoyed them. They also make homemade chips and salsa which is tasty. I am pleasantly surprised with this place and happy to have tried it after driving by and going in on a whim. After a few more meals there with family and friends I think we found a hidden gem in Falmouth.

Went here during Octoberfest time and they had some tasty german beers. They also had some music which was nice. Food quality was good. We left a cell phone there and we were about to leave the area and we tried to call regarding the phone… and they were closed during stated business hours. Not just closed but nobody was there. Luckily we called later in the day right before we left and they were finally open. While normally I would have left four stars, they lose a star for almost having use drive back without a phone and giving us a panic.
