The music rocks. The kids are AMAZING. The teachers are great. Just make sure the young kids take some Ritalin cause their energy gets a jolt.
Joel took over and turned this place into a Classic Rock Heaven and the Kids bring the new school love with their talents!
If you want to learn guitar, bass, keys, drums and sing your face off… This is the place for you. (Or to live vicariously through your child! Like me!!)
Check out one of the two major end of season shows, bring the kid and you’re kid will say, «Yes Please!!»

My son has attended the School Of Rock for over 4 years. He started in Melville and followed when they moved to the great facility it occupies in Farmingdale. He was shy and tentative at first at the school but soon grew confident and outgoing. The teachers/​directors at SOR are great! The teachers have really helped him develop his musical talent and his love and understanding of musical theory. The shows they put together are really awesome. They teach the kids to perform as a band and promote their shows. It has been great to watch him and the other kids grow and develop as musicians! He takes Vocal, and guitar and has taken drums and keys too. I have recommended many people to SOR and they to are very happy here. This is a great place for the kids to learn music and perform. Worth every penny!
