Greek Islands Coney Island

We could not have imagined a nicer venue for celebrating our son becoming Bar Mitzvah. The staff at Greek Islands amiably accommodated all kinds of special requests on very short notice; they helped make the day even more special.
The ambience and the cuisine ***far*** exceeded that of a mere upscale Coney. We limited the selections for a crowd of about 80 guests to mostaccioli marinara, chicken kebobs, roast beef, hummus, and roasted red potatoes for the adults, and chicken fingers, burgers, and french fries for the kids. Every dish was excellent, the room and the view are beautiful.
The bartender mixes a really, really good bloody mary, too! ;-)
Everything exceeded our expectations.
We will definitely return for regular meals and we can definitely recommend Greek Islands for banquets and special occasions.

For several years I have joined my golf buddies for breakfast here before our game. In the past years we have had excellent breakfasts. Not today. We all ordered eggs and bacon. For me I asked for over hard, the others asked for over easy. When the orders came out they all were the same and all undercooked. Runny egg whites and in my case runny yokes. The morning chef here needs to learn how to cook eggs. The bacon and bread were good and the service was excellent — –but it is hard to spoil an egg breakfast!!!

Like a country club, but with a Greek-​themed menu? I went with the cream of mushroom soup (not homemade) and the chicken tender pita. What I got was essentially a wrap with thicker bread — not what I expected. But, it was tasty and didn’t fall apart. Didn’t get to order fries, but I was full enough. A lot of ladies who lunch here — and then play golf.
