Not too sure whether our negative comments about this place. I come here every weekend to get to you and I have an amazing experience. The team remembers my name as well as always knowing every tea I like to drink every time I come in. They go above and beyond to make sure that I’m satisfied as well as letting me know about new products. They’re not his test is that used to be back in the day. And all-around amazing store and amazing team.

This is one of my favorite stores in the mall. Although I love the samples, I do actually shop off the website and my tea us delivered in resealable mylar bags. I also found a great deal on a teapot and warmer…½ price!

I’ve only been to this location a few times, but on those occasions, the staff were either stoned or hungover, and generally uneducated and uninterested in their products. The samples are usually gross and over sweetened, and the teas themselves vary– I have enjoyed their mates. Also, I’ve been using one of their tumblers for a few years now and I still love it. However, Teavana is far from my go-to; I may stop in if I happen to be in the mall. I prefer to just order my tea online from Adagio, or visit the Green Teahouse in Blue back for a hands down better experience.

There are a lot of things that I don’t love about this place, but I have to admit that they have a huge variety of teas, and while I’ve tried a few I didn’t love, a lot of them are high quality and really good. Cons: I used to dislike that so many of the samples, which they would have at the door and scattered throughout the store, were blends and were so strongly sweetened, rather than just being straight-up teas that you could try. Well, now the sample situation is even worse– the samples are still out and about, but the tasting cups are behind the counter, and you have to wait to ask someone for a sample of something, and then they try to sell you whatever you just tried. I also dislike that they give you the tea in paper bags that are not airtight, and that you have to buy a tin if you want to keep it airtight. I did buy a tin once, but ended up putting a pretty strong-flavored tea in it, and it kept the first, fruity aroma afterwards when I tried to put another, milder tea in it. Because of the hassle, I don’t buy loose leaf tea here often(but when I do, there’s a great vanilla earl grey, and a great moroccan mint green tea, as well as some yummy-although pricey-oolong varieties). The store is small and it can be hard to navigate. Also, it would be nice to see more information about the different teas available behind the counter without having to ask about each of them. I’d love a book or pamphlet that had details on all of the teas, so I could take a look while waiting in line(and this would likely cut down on the time the person in front of me would be taking as well). Pros: I’ve had a number of great cups of tea here. I’ve always found that they steeped the teas I ordered properly(I’ve not yet ordered matcha, or any of the other teas that have specific preparation methods, so I’d be interested to see how they do with that). Last time, the girl even told me what temperature and for how long she was steeping it for and why, which was interesting. As I mentioned above, some of the loose-leaf teas I’ve purchased have been great, although some of them last longer and some of them really seem to loose flavor after a few days if you don’t have them stored in an airtight container. So, I’ll probably keep stopping by periodically for a cup of tea when I’m shopping and not in the mood for a coffee. And I’ll probably keep complaining about the little things that irk me :)

I work at Westfarms and frequently go to Teavana during my break, but t I ask myself each time why I go back. During my most recent visit, I was the only person in the store and I ordered my usual cup of tea. While waiting for my tea to brew, the leader on duty complained loudly to the other two employees on shift how low the average cost per transactions were for the day because people were only purchasing single cups of tea. Being in retail, I understand this type of frustration, but it was grossly inappropriate for the manager to be complaining about this so openly on the sales floor when there was a customer in the store. Better yet, my tea was not brewed properly and was extremely watered down. I did not want to ask for a re-do for fear that my tea would be spit in and then insincerely apologized to.
