Been to this location twice. People park down the highway on the side of the road to use this facility because the parking lot fits about as many cars as there are chairs inside. Line routinely is out the door, even when their little color coded grid says green and a 20 min wait. There is no good time to go to this location except possibly 8:00 am on Wed when they open, but get there by 7:45, if people didn’t just decide to sleep over after waiting 4 hours to be served the afternoon before.
The first time, we waited 45 min before we even got a number and then realized we hadn’t brought all the docs that were needed to prove who you are, where you live, did you graduate from high school, are you legally in the country. People walking out said they waited between 2 – 3 hours.
Second time we went, waited about the same for a number. People walking out were saying they had been there 3+ hours… Ours was 2 ½ hours total before we saw the customer service rep (DMV Customer Service? isn’t that an oxymoron?). I’m hoping to try a different location and it will be more modernized or more efficient.
When I used to go to Gwinnett Norcross location… They waited on you by what you needed… renewal, learner permit, etc. It was so much more efficient. YOu have to wait for everything these days, but at least it even the Post Office has figured out if you are just getting your mail that was held, you can cut the line and pick it up.
