My experience at the hobbit hobby was horrible because of two things, one I went in looking for the original Catan for a friend and was sold an expansion pack for the game, I do realize this is partially my fault but the salesman specifically lead me to this exact game and said it was it. Two when I looked up how to play the game I noticed that my box looked different so I called the hobbit back and asked if I could return it (note the game is still in the package) he said as soon as the game left the store it was not his anymore. Again a fine policy to have but there is no need to demean my Catan knowledge like I’m some sort of expert. Again bad experience at this place and never going back.

This store has been around for ever. It has been 30 years since my last visit and the place looks just like it did in the 1980’s. Even saw a model I made still hanging up. The dust was extra. Tons of hobby and model items still at solid prices. Love that I saw it again. The Gods have been good to them.

Love this store. Ultimate in nerddom, as far as Fayetteville, NC goes. I wish there was less models and more games and comics, but that is really the only reason for the 4 star rating and not 5. Go there and help out your local business!

Hobbit Hobby is Fayetteville’s number one source of table-​top and P&P gaming books, miniatures, dice and other materials. From Warhammer 40k to Pathfinder, they have the best selection in the region. The service is top-​notch, the selection is broad, and the prices are really quite reasonable.

Now that we’ve moved around multiple times and oriented ourselves with other hobby stores, we’ve realized that this is by far one of the best finds out there! Don’t let the location fool you… the quality and variety of models and model tools are excellent. Their prices are high on some models and tools, but I guess they have to compensate for being a small/​local business. Lots of table top gaming on the weekends as well. The owners/​workers are friendly and show their support to the military community.
Old review: Good prices on a suitable variety of models… The store was rather stinky though. It smelled like Grandma’s old attic.
