I love this place! The Korean Kalbi, Sweet Thai Chili Shrimp, Calamari, and The Chicken Cracken tacos are fantastic! You should also do yourself a favor and order some House Chips– so good! I do agree with another reviewer about the tortillas used with some of the tacos. They tend to fall apart easily causing all of the ingredients to fall into the basket they’re served in. But that doesn’t stop me from ordering them all over.(haha) The restaurant is always clean and the staff are friendly.

The gator tacos and the polenta fries are fantastic! I also love that I can stop by with my dog after a day at the dog park and relax in the outdoor eating areas, the staff even brought my dog a bowl of water.

Went again to try a few new things. We had the steak and cheese taco which was large for the price but very underwhelming in flavor– the majority of the flavor was just salt, no interesting spice. The mushroom sauce tasted pre-made. They put breaded onion rings on top of it, many of their tacos are comprised of breaded or carby items on top of mostly flour tortillas which puzzles me. The tacos tend to be too bready which was the experience last time as well. Onion rings were good once again though I would prefer a more flavorful dip, or more than one dip. Tried the polenta fries, the red pepper ketchup was a nice touch. The fries themselves were an interesting idea, overall I liked them, though felt they were lacking in spice and flavor. It still astounds me that they don’t serve tap water. I increased the star rating by one because I feel like I would come back for the sides, but I wouldn’t try ordering tacos on a third visit.

All about tacos. Got the sweet thai chili shrimp taco, which was fantastic. Brought the heat but not where I started sweating. Also got the mahi taco which was really good. Travel out west a lot and love to be able to get seafood tacos and burritos. This taco was definitely west coast worthy.

The idea of a creative taco place is cool, but it’s poorly executed. The tortillas, as others have noted, are not that fresh and fall apart easily. The fillings are very hit-and-miss — tofu is bland — and the prices are too high. In terms of the setting, it’s a cavernous restaurant that makes you feel you’re in the back of an abandoned department store(is that what this was before?) and the décor and the service are less than heartwarming.

Wish I could give it 3 ½ stars. Not a huge fan of the counter ordering, and the interior leaves a little to be desired, but the tacos are strong(for fusion). I got 4, and it was so much food I couldn’t come close to finishing it. I had the Philly cheese steak taco, the gyro taco, a bulgogi(or something like that), and a buffalo chicken taco. Each one was huge. The buffalo chicken was my favorite, there was enough chicken on it to make a decent sized sandwich. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice place when it is open. Window for that is very small. Food is good and hot. Fries are what makes this place stand out. Come here about every two weeks. I do not like the fish tacos at all. Not even close to California standards. Sorry. Just not that great. Service is ok and it is best to bring cash.

Interesting flavors. I would have liked a more authentic tortilla versus store bought. I tried the«Steak and Cheese», «The Greek», «Polenta Fries», «Buffalo Fries». The Greek taco was the PERFECT imitatation of a gyro. It was yummy and the amount of toppings and tzatziki sauce was perfect porportioned. I would try this one again! The steak and cheese was pulled with items and slightly sloppy. The steak was chunky and would have been better if it was more fajita style. It was drenched in mushroom sauce and not able to close together. I do not think I would try this item again. I would suggest a revamp on this recipe. The buffalo fries were interesting and for the blue cheese and buffalo wing lover, this is your appetizer!!! Looks and taste great. The polenta fries were bland but a good idea. Needs more seasoning. I did not like the idea of having to give my order as soon as I walk in at a counter versus sitting and ordering. The menu is too big for that type of setup. Suggest table side ordering versus register upon entry. I would try this place again to try different flavors.

While the flavors are definitely unique and the variety is impressive the tortilla kinda ruined it for me. Gritty and falling apart despite being double up, I ended up dumping my ingredients out and abandoning the tortillas all together. Despite the lackluster tortillas the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean… Unfortunately when you run a taco joint you have to rock the tortillas… So probably won’t be back.

One ok taco is not worth the awful rude service. If they hired some new people maybe we would be back but I don’t plan on it. The front cashier should not be doing any type of customer service, she clearly hates her job. The tacos are okay but nothing to rave about. What a let down!

Quintessential«hole in the wall» restaurant. That’s the style I like. It’s a bit of quiet in the middle of a hectic life. Another good point is the friendly and very relaxed way the staff treat you. They don’t «helicopter» or hover over you as you eat but will check on you occasionally. If you want helicopter service-don’t go there. The Mahi taco on a corn tortilla is fresh and has enough depth of flavor to keep me coming back. I have yet to try anything else. Loved the option of a beer with my meal. The restaurant is the old«Horn’s Café» and I have always loved their Art Deco bar seating. Pull up a table by yourself and do some work on your laptop or bring a friend. If you want quiet and you like a little Bohemian/hippy style in a «hole in the wall» restaurant, you will like this. If not, don’t go. It will be my special spot. :) My only challenge for the restaurant would be to try to clean the floors around the corners a bit more but it doesn’t stop delicious from coming out of the kitchen.

Very cool building downtown Fayetteville. …Great spin on the Taco with around 14 different flavors. …I had the Korean which was tasty… portion was small for price…

Very neat«taco» restaurant! Variety of tacos ranging from fish to steak and cheese with everything in between. I chose the Buffalo chicken taco and the palento fries. Everything had great flavor and seasoning. The cost with a drink was just over $ 10…so for lunch it’s a little high. However you get what you pay for! I’ll be back to try other items when in town for business. Just another fyi… they don’t take AMEX.

I’ll make it short and sweet. My wife and I have been trying to go here for a couple of weeks and finally made it in. The service at the door was phenomenal and the food was even better. I love to see small restaurants like this in the area that offers better food and different food than the typical chain restaurants that are all over America. We will definitely be back. 10⁄10!!!

I came here about a year ago and was well below impressed. Portion sizes were small and prices were quite high. What a difference time has made! Portion sizes have increased significantly and they really seem to have gotten their recipes down. The food has improved, and I very much enjoyed this visit. If you haven’t been in a while, go back! It’s worth another shot! Their new location is in a great place downtown. Really loved the visit this time around.

Normally I don’t go before closing. Heck I didn’t know they closed so early on a Saturday. I can respect it. However what I don’t like is the one worker telling somebody their disgusting while fixing my food. Then to get home and find a half a stack of napkins in the bag… So when the next time you go and the price may seem a little high. Blame it on the stack of napkins. They cost

What a disaster. Don’t let the creative menu fool you. The restaurant completely botched the execution here. Non-existent branding, awkward, unfriendly staff, and completely underwhelming food. Not even worth giving this place a second try.

We’ve been here twice. I’ve heard good things about it. I agree about the cashier lady tho, silver hair club, never smiled before. Strange that she would be the first person you want your customers to talk to. She doesn’t work fast either so if there are some people in line ahead of you, it will take a while. They don’t have a print out menu but it’s on chalk boards behind the cashier. Strange because they don’t seem to change their menu at all. So, some of the tacos are great. But soooo overpriced! And the $ 2 – 4 taco price… It’s for one taco. Street fair type tacos. And they don’t even make their own tortillas. The corn tortillas don’t hold up as they tend to drown every taco with tons of sauce. Even if they double up. After my fall apart taco experience the first time, I asked for flour. I liked the Thai, Korean, and fish taco. Didn’t care too much for the polenta fries. Did not care for their burgers. Even worse were their house made chips… I don’t know of they were swamped with orders and were risking but the chips were soggy and limp. After our last visit… We decided we probably don’t need to come back again.

Can’t even tell you about the food because they closed at 2:30pm even though the restaurant hours say 3pm. Please get your hours of operation right. Sincerely, A very disappointed customer

Meh. I think 3 is generous for this visit. Love the idea but feel it should be executed better. My boyfriend and I ordered 6 tacos and a glass of white sangria. When he asked how much the sangria was she said $ 5 and showed us a glass and said but its completely filled with ice. Okay thanks? Lol we got one anyway because why not. Good flavor but didnt taste like it had any alcohol in it. The tacos we tried were the party america, the cuban, the korean kalbi, the gator, and the pork belly. The party america was all mac and cheese and undercooked bacon and a sprinkle of meat. Their meat portions on everything were definitely lacking. Again, love the idea, poorly executed. If I had to pick a favorite it was probably the cuban. The meat they used on my korean taco definitely could have been better quality as I had to spit a piece out because I couldnt bite into it. I like that they had the little outdoor seating area. There was a lady who came outside at least 6 times and asked if we were okay every 5 minutes. Each time she came it annoyed me a little more. Yes service is crucial but that was just too much. For $ 31 we both agreed it was not worth it. It’s a shame because we were both really excited to try everything. When I come back to fayetteville I do not think I will be returning here.
